Hey good morning you guys hope you guys have a wonderful day I'll be able to fix that problem hey you're almost to be able to live in the house and you guys have a nice day out there and be careful out there hope you'll be able to get that done as soon as and God bless you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love this channel. Seeing an update today was a nice surprise. I agree with what you've said in previous videos. How does this channel not have waaaay more subscribers???! It makes no sense. Hopefully that picks up soon because you guys deserve it.
Awsome job guys but you REALLY need to lower that microwave. Bottom of the cabinet is minimum 66 inches from the floor max 68 then you mount the microwave under that cabinet and the height will be correct. I have worked with appliances over 40 years. You need to fix this or someone will get burned
The wood stove can heat water and cook food, why waste the heat when burning woods. Can make coffee , pot roast, chili beans , stews , and most pasta. Ture off grid living. You can use it as a humidifier by boiling water n the stream will moist the dry desert air.
It says 2400Watts of Solar, but most likely you will not get that amount. I would say around 1600watts of Solar. I would get a system that allows you input way more solar. EchoFlow delta pro 3 would be the lowest I would buy...BUT "EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra" is the way to go. EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra - Solar up to 5600watts, can get real close to that without "Series/Parallel"...240Watts output and upto 30,000 in total battery.
Absolutely hate those fire alarms. We have had everyone in the system (11) fail at least once. Look to replace them on a regular basis. It's fun arguing with their customer service as well.
Have you seen the UA-cam channel wild wonderful off grid I think they have the most kick ass solar system there is I mean they can run all kinds of crap refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, forever for free but Aaron also is an electrician and really knows his shit but man you need to really think about getting a kick ass system it’s probably gonna cost you 150,000 but it’ll be worth it over a 20 year.
We do watch their channel and it’s one of our favorites. Their system was about $40k and is about double the size of ours. I’m sure we’ll expand at some point but what we have right now works really well. We don’t really have any issues. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼
You probably have figured it out by now but you set up the Anker solar panel upside down in the video. The legs with the blue plastic blocks are supposed to be flat on the ground, not angle up like that. Other than that, I really admire you for having the confidence to take on this huge project of building your own home.
I did the same thing with my microwave. I put up a 12 inch and I need an 18 inch cabinet above the microwave. We had to get a ladder out just to use it lol order a cabinet. Love you guys.
Just a suggestion, I would add the fire/smoke alarm to the backup system as well as the lights in the bedrooms (or at least one of them) and probably the light you will install on the steps.
I look forward to seeing your video’s guys, next stage you’s are at. OMG, your house is coming together slowly. Won’t be long & you’s will be moving in 😊 Love from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
Not their forever home, in the videos you will see a house foundation. This is so they can get out of the trailer before another winter. Easier faster build.
We need Anker in south Africa with our constant load shedding meaning whole cities are without power for certain periods of time 😢 love your videos Pete cape town south Africa looking forward to seeing you soon
Hey yall, I love that system. In my home I wired one outlet in each room to a battery backup so I can have a night light in every room, hallway & basement (20). I separated the duplex outlets so the top outlet is battery, and the bottom is normal power. I did the same thing for every room to battery back up my Alexa in every room (10). My internet, alarm system & cameras are on yet another battery backup Fridge is on its own battery backup. I spray painted every separated outlet red & labeled each for max. wattage. 20 nightlights each use .004 watts, 10 Alexa outlets each use 1.7 watts, Internet, alarm system & 14 cameras use 190 watts, Fridge uses 700 watts. 3-600 watt battery backups & 1-1,500 watt battery backup. I would love one central system but don't have $4,229. My whole investment is less than $1,000 & it is automatic switching UPS's. Even though my home is 90 years old, it wasn't that hard to run wires.
In Australia your 50amp plug which is a Male plug and not a Female is illegal. If you disconnect the battery plug and your board can receive power from the main board (your solar panels) and someone touches one of the male pins - then they're toast.
It does not put power out when the transfer switch is on "Line"... it is perfectly safe, if the wire from the battery was a male plug then that would be dangerous.
The inlet plug is the same as you will find on any caravan or generator input on a switchboard in Australia. It can't have power to it because of the changeover switch.
Things maybe different but, we didn't put a frig on gfi breaker. that way you don't have to worry about the breaker tripping when you weren't around and lose everything in you frig. I would check on that. I love watching you guys building your place!!
Heck yeah that's awsome guys...but don't they have to be a certain temperature. I think if they get to cold they want work. I could be wrong never really researched Anker.
Nice job on the electrical. If you are the homeowner of your house you're allowed to do your own electrical and plumbing you don't have to be certified.
Line position = pull from the panel and ignore the Gen (plug) power - doesn't matter if Gen has power or not. Gen (plug) = power from the Gen (plug) / Anker power source. IF the Anker is 'just a battery/backup-inverter' - then you'd leave the switches on "Line" and switch to "Gen" only when you need to use the Anker. IF the Anker is being charged from the main panel continuously / Anker is running continuously then you could set the switches to "Gen" all the time and if Line (main panel) goes out, things will continue to run from the Anker automatically until the Anker runs down and/or the Line comes back on to recover/recharge the Anker. Note: The Anker probably has Lithium-ion battery cells, so 0F to -4F is probably as low as the temp can go and still discharge/pull-power from the Anker - the Anker docs should have this info.
Anker's product is NOT good for house backup due to severe limit on its solar input of 60 volts. This is 2019 numbers and very limiting. This will require multiple solar panel strings in parallel resulting in high amperage and the need for large and very expensive cables to reduce significant losses. Poor design.
Catching up some of your old videos. Your doing great job
Thanks! First to give practical tips
You should put up plastic tarps in place of your garage doors,

love the air slap lol

Plan is to lower. Right now get moved in before hard winter and do finish work later.

You guys have done an amazing job over the last year. Congrats! ❤️
Good job on all the electrical work-Love your channel and the great family dynamic.
I do not know if anybody told you but make sure you have hot water powered too I have Solar too with Battery back up too.
You guys should feel really Proud of all the things you’ve tackled while building your dream off grid homestead. Great work Hoss!
I never heard of s smoke detector in the bathroom.
That’s strange!
Great video! 👍🏾
The house is really coming along. Love the gold fixtures. Missed the video of the flooring?
We had a couple videos with the flooring being installed.
Nice job
You guys are doing such a good job.

water well on backup
Did you also add your water heater on back up?
What a cool video! There's so much out there too help the off gridder. That ANKER is incredible🎉.
Absolutely hate those fire alarms. We have had everyone in the system (11) fail at least once.

Good morning from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I won’t put a smoke detector in your bathroom. The steam from the shower will set it off every time.
I don't think code requires a smoke detector in the bathroom. You may have issues with steam setting it off.
We were thinking the same thing actually. If we need to we’ll take it out.
If you stuck all your own telephone poles in the ground from your house all the way down to the main road would your electric company hook you up??
Lone Star solar stove not connected pannels installed no backup 220 E Ragland Ave Kingsville TX 78363 cost $250.
200 volts no breaker 67 retired veteran diabetic.
Awesome job, guys, and good on you, Gramma, for hopping on the quad and going for a ride❤❤️🇨🇦
Do you need to order like 10 of those batteries so you can just relax all winter they’re probably wet $4000 each battery lol😅
Smoke detector in the garage?

Another great video! You are doing such a good job finishing your home. You should be very proud of all you have accomplished.
This was really informative..thanks!
❤❤❤
That's a great Backup System
Great video, mate! 👍🏼
Another great video guys!👍🏻
You are indeed a lucky family to receive such a welcome gift good luck going forward I enjoy your videos From the UK.
Great power back up ❤️💙❤️💙
When are you kids going to put your deck up? Always worry about the kids and fur babies
I did the same thing with my microwave. I put up a 12 inch and I need an 18 inch cabinet above the microwave. We had to get a ladder out just to use it lol order a cabinet. Love you guys.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you ANKER!!
You guy are doing a great job. It’s looking awesome. Cool video. 👍❤️

Looks like you have no neighbors. Nice! 👍
I look forward to seeing your video’s guys, next stage you’s are at.
OMG, your house is coming together slowly.
Won’t be long & you’s will be moving in 😊
Love from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
Are you guys completely off grid?
Yes we’re. We live about 45 minutes outside of town. We built all our utilities.
Looks like you are almost ready to move in, ready for Christmas!!, good job. x x
Great job. You’ll be moving in soon
👍
If you are backing up a GFI circuit, I think you need a GFI breaker in the transfer switch.
If you’re building your own home, why only 2. bedrooms?
Not their forever home, in the videos you will see a house foundation. This is so they can get out of the trailer before another winter. Easier faster build.

Nice power system. Looks easy to setup and delivers great power wherever you need. Thanks for sharing

You need to have your electrician friend direct you on the NEC requirements for working clearances not a big deal just need to move your shelf.
Heck yeah that's awsome guys...but don't they have to be a certain temperature. I think if they get to cold they want work. I could be wrong never really researched Anker.
How do you charge the Anker? If it is solar is that not the same as adding more batteries to your existing system?
👍👍✌️
Are you going to put insulating foam on the ground,as a therrmal barrier, before pouring the concrete slab in the garage?
Nice job on the electrical. If you are the homeowner of your house you're allowed to do your own electrical and plumbing you don't have to be certified.
Is there a safety so both power supplies cannot run at the same time?
👍👌👍😎✌️🙏👍
🇳🇴👍👍👌🥇

So what’s the recommendation?
You sure use click bait alot.
Awesome video!!
