- Hello! This video is about an afternoon in which I started preparing for a trip, I say something about the way I like to travel, and I prepare a very easy Finnish fish soup (Kalakeitto). I hope you enjoy this video.
Fish soup (Kalakeitto)
Ingredients: (2 persons): water 5 dl, 1 onion, black pepper, 1/2 tsp salt, bay leaves, about 300 g potatoes, about 300 g fish, cream 1dl, dill,
Preparation:
Boil water, add chopped onions, some black pepper, a few bay leaves and cook for about 5 min.
Add about 300 g potatoes cut in small cubes and cook until cooked (about 15 min).
Add 250 - 300 g fish (cod, salmon...), add salt and wait until it boils again, then and let it boil quietly for 2 - 3 min.
Add 1 dl cream and chopped dill.
Serve with rye bread and butter.

Brings to mind a book I have read by Carlos Castaneda called A Separate Reality. In the the book he mentions how things sap your energy and can control your life. Interesting and provocative. There is a series of books I recommend. Also the Yaqui Way of Knowledge. The winter in Minnesota has been a long and rough one. I have taken time cleaning and organizing and purging what I don't use or need. It's uplifting. The fish soup looks so good. I will make some this week.
