One more thing, Takutanuva's appearance is different between the set, movie, and game. The game version has him appear as Makuta with gold armor and the Avohkii on, while the movie has him appear with the rusted armor not so rusty on Makuta, the arms are white, and the mask is a merging of both masks. I am thinking the movie version is canon, but it's a shame we never got an actual merged version of the mask, but I guess we can get one from Shapeways.

Funny story: I remember having all of the rahkshi except Panrahk and being bummed that I didn't have all the pieces to build Vo... even though they're all more or less identical save for colors and I could have used any of the others in its place. I'm pretty sure I eventually built it anyway, though. Was not a smart kid. Also, that first Kabaya one reminds of the really early 2001 prototypes, when it was still "Boneheads of Voodoo Island". In total, I only had five sets from this year, three of which I didn't get until '07, and never made any of the combinations as I was always missing one set from each wave. Specifically, I only had Panrahk and Lehrak (Green) of the Rahkshi, Gahlok-Kal and Kohrak-Kal and Makuta Teridax.
I am not sure if you already know this or if anyone else has mentioned it, but there are also other versions of the Japanese Rahkshi combos. One is the same as the Red, Blue, and Black, but instead of Red, it is Brown. And the other is the other one that is Brown, Green, and White, but Brown is swapped with Red. Probably nothing to say about them since it is just the same combo just using different colors.

I just realized from the Inspirational Model 1 that Makuta's mask is supposed to be a mix of the Rahkshi head and a regular Kanohi masks. I've always wondered why it was designed that way.
27:58 OBJECTION!! The instructions for this model were only in the Takanuva and Ussanui instructions, as the additional combo model part in the booklet for Makuta, was already taken up by part of the Makuta Nui build!
Also, to my knowledge, what he said about how the combo model only used pieces from Makuta and the Ussanui also appears to be wrong: I don't think that the Ussanui has any of the white hand pieces that are used, and the build also uses Takanuva's torso piece to connect the shoulders.
You didn't talk about the fact that the mask takutanuva is represented is probably reversed, cause it should resemble more the avohkii than the kraakhaan and it doesn't make sense to have it the same way as makuta's normal form.

I never got why they didn’t use the other side of the Kraahkan for Takutanuva’s face; after all, it looks like a perfect mix of the Avohkii and the Kraahkan, and goes a long way in differentiating Makuta and Takutanuva.
15:07 I mainly came to this vid to learn more about this combo, because I wanted to know if they took a different story path in the Japanese series of the bionicle story,... saw this in the USA LEGO magazine that also mentioned it was a Japanese combo model and they thought it was too cool to not share the poster of it with us! It is so poetic that the japanese sets look cool and pretty much can't move all that much
6:47 GENERAL KENOBI
The red bohrok-kal combined with the two arms looks awesome, like a big jackhammer goose monkey.
To me the 2002 combo sets were DEFINITELY the best so far, I've never paid much attention to the combo's myself so seeing all of these in these videos is really interesting to me :D some of them have actually made me buy duplicates of Bionicle sets just so I can make my duplicates into the different alternate models/combo's, especially the ones that turn onto animals, I love those ones.
What was that page you scrolled through at the very beginning of the video?
Now this was a very interesting video!
I love how the Kabaya models always look like Gundams or EVAs
What is the name of the page you show at the beginning where you look at the combinations?
I never got why they didn’t use the other side of the Kraahkan for Takutanuva’s face; after all, it looks like a perfect mix of the Avohkii and the Kraahkan, and goes a long way in differentiating Makuta and Takutanuva.
I agree, if it wasn't used for that, why did the mask even have the Avohkii's design on it?
@@PuppeteerGaming late response, but probably to be counterparts, like twins. One is a mask of light, other is a mask of shadows.
Wait , the new intro is sick
How is anyone suppose to combine the Bionicle to the other combinations, shown in this video, when there isn't a showing of it in an instructions?
Anyway know what it's called if you swope out parts for the same price but in a different color?
Do you have instructions for the Kabaya Rahkshi Combiner 2?
Can’t wait
3:11 If Wheelie from the Michael Bay Transformers was a Bonk
Based purely on appearance the Rahkshi inspirational models would have been awesome as the canon Kaita combos
The first inspiration model for the rackshi reminds me of TwoFace
Damn that Inspirational Model 1 preceding Kamen Rider Build by over a decade lmao
Can't wait for 2004 and see what my favorite Bionicle set combins with
P.s it's toa nuju
15:07 I mainly came to this vid to learn more about this combo, because I wanted to know if they took a different story path in the Japanese series of the bionicle story,... saw this in the USA LEGO magazine that also mentioned it was a Japanese combo model and they thought it was too cool to not share the poster of it with us!
I just wanted to know more about this combo model in this vid ( and watched everything else in this vid too! ) , and wondered more about how bionicle was done in different countries. I think it would be cool if they had more than we got with our version of the story 🤔 💭 ,... since not all the combo models we had where canonized in the story or appeared in one we got...
I lost my Movie Edition Kraahkan :'(
These are really cool, some of these combo models I have never seen. Kaita Ja is one where I didnt have the blue one, but replaced it with brown gen 1 Bohrok and had... interesting abomination. I think I only built it once, versus the gen 1 model with black, brown and red, it was way better imho (too lazy to check these names).
I kinda like kaita ja and kaita za there designs are so interesting and functions are impressive
I think I have the Makuta Takanuva fusion set somewhere... the first one without the kraakahn
