Still bummed they never made other Ben 10 Alien Force characters into figures. I would have loved Alien X, Rath, Lodestar, Nanomech, Goop, Brainstorm, and Echo Echo constraction sets.
I think having some of the villains would also help. Having characters like the Highbreed and DNAliens as sets would've helped to round out the line and give kids things to fight against.
I have the Spider Monkey torso, and I never knew that’s what it was. I’ve been trying to use it for bugs and six legged animals. I think my favorite MOC I made with Spider Monkeys torso was a praying mantis using a few upper arm/leg pieces and the really long lower leg piece in a sort of “N” shape. Each of the Tecnic pin holes were used to attach some claw and spike pieces. It was my best MOC at the time, other than a MOC using the Ultra Build General Grievous frame.
Huh, of all the things I didn't expect to exist, this one feels not like the least likely to have happened, but the last thing anyone would have thought to want.
Not that it's bad by any means, it just doesn't seem to satisfy any need of mine, even though I love the show, I just feel like I don't really need this.
This is a theme that I really disliked at the time (classic teen Bionicle fan sad and annoyed at anything other than Bionicle), and I didn't know the source material. The more I see your videos highlighting multi-theme constraction builds, the more curious I get about integrating some of these parts into my builds!
You can really see the influence Bionicle had on these sets and the influence these sets had on Hero Factory. Like you pointed out, one of those limb elements was later used on Corroder, but there are others. Humongasaur's head has a similar design to the Inika heads, even requiring a socket piece to attach to the body. Swampfire's foot element would go on to be used in sets like Raw-Jaw (Jungle Planet) and XT4 (Breakout) as well as some of the Brain Attack villains. Then it appeared again on Onua's hammer in his 2015 Master form. And the torso shared by all the Ben 10 sets looks like a larger version of what we would eventually get as the torso for the 1st wave of HF sets. The claw hand pieces used by most of the sets later appeared on Waspix and Scorpio in Jungle Planet
I actually have the Swampfire figure in my collection. Unfortunately...it's the only one I have. BUT...the pieces have some good uses. Like in the canon Artakha model, there were some pieces from Swampfire used, both in the sort of "armpit" area of the lad, and the chestplate.
If I remember correctly you can actually use the first wave hero factory torsos on the ben 10 torso. Really useful if you want a taller moc while still keeping the first wave’s aesthetic.
Hopefully they reissue those cool ‘barb’ pieces if they create new Ben 10 brick built constraction sets (similar but different from those eye-sore-ing excuses for spidermen)
Honestly it would be really cool to make a MOC using one of these torsoes, and claim it was the Omnitrix's sample of a Toa. Now, the question is... What element would Ben be locked into?
I still have a MOC that's basically the Karda nui makuta torso and ribs with the spidermonkey torso armor on top. I made a creature that was basically a barnacle remutated back into being a crustacean with a shell and armored limbs.
My only disappointment is that i wish the Omnitrix symbol was a removable piece, similar to the hero factory chest piece, that way you could actually get even more moc ben 10 aliens as well as unique created aliens that you could pretend was one of Bens aliens
i've had the humungosaur and spider monkey sets since i was REALLY really young needless to say they've lost a few pieces each (notably, the shoulder guard for HS sorta...fell apart. careful with that years old rubber when you're using it as a hat, everyone!) and i just decided to display them as a combiner set (the box has a few of those, i think the one i made was intended for swampfire and jet ray, but like, it looked cool and i had the same pieces in different colors, plus two big ole punchy arms) i have been looking at those torso pieces for a while, too. i wanna def use them in the future for something else, they look really cool. if i had better foresight i mightve gotten jet ray for that cool yellow flexible piece, but who knows, maybe that wouldve also fallen apart with time. anyways, i love these sets to death even if they're not exactly up to par with anything before or after, theyre quirky, simple, and i loved them alot as a kid.
The Closeup on Chromastone made me wonder - what do you do to dust your sets and mocs? I know Jangbricks has sang the praises of drybrushes and handheld vacuums
@@BenCossyOfficial That makes sense! I loved the video, you've definitely been encouraging me to try to build Bionicles with parts I hadn't been using much!
Can you please do an Ultra Build episode? I started with Hero Factory, but I got into it far too late, so I had to make do with the Star Wars Ultra Build sets.
Never picked up the sets because I was hoping for some System Ben 10 sets, like the Rust Bucket, or Kevin's Car, like, I was expecting some minifig scaled stuff, and it just never happened. It's also a shame that there were only 6 of these guys. I'm guessing that had to do with the tradition of 6 characters per wave from Bionicle , but it's Ben *_10_* for crying out loud! You need all 10! Brian Storm would have been a bit tough to do, and Goop is uh, well, he wouldn't translate well to Constraction necessarily, and then there's Echo Echo, who's short... but you could maybe include two or three in the set. And then Alien X, I can't even remember if he had been revealed yet, it took a long time for Ben to finally transform into him and he was always silhouetted in the intro for at least the first Season of Alien Force. Since they were based on Alien Force and he hadn't gotten the old guard back yet or unlocked other new ones, the line was limited in what was available, but Four Arms, Wildvine, XLR8, Stinkfly, Wildmutt, like, there's so many options. Not to mention, where are the Villains? DNAliens, Highbreed, Vilgax, Future Dr. Animo with his big gorilla body, Forever Knights (Honestly, they kind of suck, but they'd make a cool toy and being all silver would offer some different colors), Hex, Charmcaster, It would have been weird, but there's not even Ben, Gwen or Kevin as figures. So much wasted potential on this line, but I suppose if it also just wasn't selling well, it wasn't selling well and that meant not going forward with any future planned sets if they even existed.
that xlr8 moc is impressive and really, REALLY well shaped, but... holy hell i can't forgive the blatantly illegal parts usage. the hand and foot attachments are going to break those pieces.
Those particular aliens are the first 10 aliens from Alien Force also it really would be nice if Alien X, Echo Echo, Brainstorm, and Goop as well as many others were in LEGO form
Kinda wonder why they never did way big he would have fit perfectly. Some aliens I think would have worked in this series would be water hazard, fast track, ampfibian, and rath.
Can you please make brick build heads and paint original Ben10 parts and build some other aliens (Four Arms, Heatblast, XLR8, etc..). Not purist but interesting.
What's constraction? Also no wonder this set failed. Would hate to pay whatever it is these would cost in today's day and age with Lego prices only to basically get the same figure each time just painted a different color with one or two different small pieces here n there. Now that's a waste. small pl
Still bummed they never made other Ben 10 Alien Force characters into figures. I would have loved Alien X, Rath, Lodestar, Nanomech, Goop, Brainstorm, and Echo Echo constraction sets.
Oh man an Alien X set would be rad! Yeah so many incredible characters that would've made great sets!
I think having some of the villains would also help. Having characters like the Highbreed and DNAliens as sets would've helped to round out the line and give kids things to fight against.
Rath I would love to see. Not only because he has would have some interesting choice of parts, but because he is a fan favorite.
I have the Spider Monkey torso, and I never knew that’s what it was. I’ve been trying to use it for bugs and six legged animals. LEGO BEN 10
(loud blare)
3:26 looks like it could be a moc of the samurai beetle from Kubo and the Two Strings
So THAT'S what it reminded me of!
@@danielbaken8569 yeah lol
I remember towards the end of hero factory a similar moc to the cow boy one(used the same hat technique) was blurred and passed around as a fake leak.
I quite like the cowboy Hero MOC. I may try to make that myself.
Huh, of all the things I didn't expect to exist, this one feels not like the least likely to have happened, but the last thing anyone would have thought to want.

The Lightning Warrior moc is probably my favorite. I FREAKED when I saw it
I think I might need a few of these figures...
I had all of these except for swampfire- I adore that people still talk about them!

Unironically an awesome series. My foster parents wouldn’t let me watch Ben 10, but I loved the concept and design
For whatever reason I really wanna see the big chill head used for a power armored soldier, possibly from war hammer or something.

Remember: if youre moc uses the ben 10 body plate piece then youre moc is an alien in the omnitrix
Love your videos! I'm hyped and inspired 😎

Earth lol
I’ve been wanting to get more of these pieces for some time now, and seeing mocs that use them is making me want some even more. 😔
Excellent video, awesome lego Theme
Some of the official combo models for this theme were really great. The torso pieces work awesome as fiant m9nster forearms
It was a good theme
Same
i also use them, i like the shape of their hands
that Tex Wrangler won it for me>>>

I actually had spider monkey as a kid, and currently still have a lot of the parts from it. Even using a few for some Bonkles right now.
I need the cowboy build it looks tooooooo cooooool
They need to bring back LEGO Ben 10.
Omg imagine a LEGO Ben 10 game with a customiser (small and big fig)! 🤤🥵
The Closeup on Chromastone made me wonder - what do you do to dust your sets and mocs? I know Jangbricks has sang the praises of drybrushes and handheld vacuums
I do the same thing really. I often forget to clean up before filming and then see the tiny dust that I didn't pick up when I'm editing though lol :P

Oh that's a good idea, yeah I can do that, I'll add it to the list :)
I completely forgot about these guys

I didn't know you could use "MOC" as a verb
Those particular aliens are the first 10 aliens from Alien Force also it really would be nice if Alien X, Echo Echo, Brainstorm, and Goop as well as many others were in LEGO form
Out of this only Alien X would've fit the mold
Ye haw
I can't help thinking that Humungosaur's head looks like a Brown Power Ranger helmet.
Yeee haw..
I NEED instructions for that XLR8
Kinda wonder why they never did way big he would have fit perfectly. Some aliens I think would have worked in this series would be water hazard, fast track, ampfibian, and rath.
Bruh humangasaures arm were the caymans left hand from my POV
I had 3 of those
I wonder why these didn't continue. Maybe they didn't market it well? I didn't even know these existed.
I'd assume they didn't sell well, and maybe that was due to marketing yeah. It's a shame, more would have been rad.
I WANT SWAMPFIRE LEGO
Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeee is ben 10 beeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I like xlr8
I miss lego action figures.😢
rip those xlr8 feet
Blox would have been great as a Lego set
I had the humungosaue, arguably the worst one
I have a humongusaur set sealed in the box that I don’t know what to do with 🤷♂️
Sell it to someone as a joke
Am I the only person who gets bothered when these Mocs have tires stretched over the limbs? I don’t know why, it just really bothers me
Same. Tires filling gaps feels illegitimate.
You spelled construction wrong btw
What's constraction?
