My videos are usually based on the question “What would I want to know about this thing before buying it?” And I go into details based on that. I’ve found a lot of neat stuff to talk about.
Great video as always. I am a Casio Vintage watch collector , as well as a Casio G-Shock collector New and Vintage. I bought the green version at Macy's 3 years ago and after a few discounts it cost me $157.50. Since then I collected all 5 versions and paid between $110.00 to $125.00 for each except the Wildlife Promising (Brown/White) , that one cost me $225.00. I have doubles of the Blue and Green versions you are showing in this video. The no Solar on the GR-B200 was a deal breaker for me as well.
It's a shame that so many nice G-Shock watches come with a negative display. Sometimes i really like a colour version of a G-Shock. But it doesn't come in a positive display version.
*_I actually acquired the blue version (GRB-1A2) first. Thereafter I got the green LCD (GRB-1A3) model last._* *_The GRB-200 isn’t Tough Solar. I can see acquiring it if the variety & the wow factor of the functions are greater than the practicality and ease of the Tough Solar utility in this puppy._*
This model is ... a WORK OF ART 🤗! This green🐸 is GORGEOUS✨ 😍! The LCD display has an additional light source. So there is 2 💡 of them. If they didn't make them any longer … 😢😞.
Yeah have the 1A2 bought it because the GW3000 I have is a little bit limited. And I got this model because the 3rd Gravity master in the line is battery only.
The G-Shock I regret not picking up when I had the chance is the GPW-2000-1A, I have the GPW1000-1A but I would have loved the 2000 in the collection too.
*_They’re nice indeed. What I like probably the most about both models are they have the illumination function. To have an all analog Casio G-Shock with illumination was unheard of to me up till the point that I became abreast of those models. Then you have them with the coveted functionality of Wave Ceptor, Tough Solar, GPS, and the GPW2000 having Bluetooth capability! What more can you ask for? These other watch companies can’t get with Casio yo!!!_*
Welcome from down under Sydney Australia. Great review no need for atomic time here in Aus we have no near clocks to set from, bluetooth however yes! So that's my preference and a cost saving to boot. I have six Casio watches so far, seven if you include my 21st birthday watch still running till now, I am 55 🙂 Keep reviewing, Darren.
I haven’t seen any bracelet ideas for this one. Someone else made a video in which they suggested attaching something from another Casio with a similar band but it wasn’t a perfect fit. He was going to try modifying a few things. The stock strap is pretty good, though, including it’s anti-bacterial two-material design.
Mid you, Greg, you did say two years ago that you were going to look into the GPS feature and see what software it might be compatible with. Did you make any progress on that?
Honestly, I don’t check the location history very often on this Casio app so I kind of forgot it keeps track. I usually use a dedicated GPS device while driving around and I save those logs on a regular basis. But, yes, I should follow up on the ability to record locations with the G-Shock app.
Agreed. GST-B300 is my favorite of the series and is very similar to the GR-B100 being reviewed. Only downside I can think of with the GST line is the illumination; however, the backlight is great.
I really adore your perspective about things. Just that, I am a big fan of negative display watches. Gshock GBD 200 has an MPI display which is claimed to be a better version of the negative displays. I have been wearing GD-350-1B for many years, and I really like that watch. If you find GBD 200 good, can you please provide your perspective on that watch. Thank you so much.
Sometimes I wish that whenever Casio made a negative LCD watch they would offer a variation which was exactly the same in every way except that it had a positive LCD. I know there are guys who dig into their watches to modify these things themselves but doing it to the GR-B100 seems like a very risky proposition. Sigh.
I wonder if the type of power display is the only real difference. For example, when this one shows what looks like 85% then maybe that same charge would simply show as “High” on a G-Shock Square. So, while a Square might look like it’s always on High and we think it’s always 100%, maybe it’s really somewhere between 80% and 100% and constantly changing. Just my speculation.
Your taste is right up my alley. Your enthusiasm, alone, keeps me coming back for more.

This channel definitely needs more viewers!
Hey Greg I’ve had the Blue one for 3 years now and it’s a cool Military Style Watch. The Tough Solar is a Winner.

The GR-B200 trades the tough solar for sensors.

I got mine! No Tough Solar no deal!

Im from SYD too and the Casio Bluetooth has been amazing. finally we can get atomic time for cheap without needing to go solar gps
Received mine yesterday and ordered some adaptors so I can use other straps.
Great watch! Love mine as well. I wonder if there's a combi bracelet for this one?

Perfect Synchronisation......
today I bought the blue one for 255 euros, now I'm just waiting for delivery🥰
Really? I bought orange bronze one for 120 euros last year😮 In casio store.
I wonder if the solar flare will effect the radio tower signal. It will arrive Saturday, oct. 30, 2021.
Good question. It will be interesting to see how all of our electronic and electrical things hold up.

Green version very difficult to source in the UK. The big bonus is the incredibly good legibility of the digital display.
I’m surprised these have apparently been discontinued already. I use the green one a lot!
Do you have a video how to change the battery for GR B100 1A4DR Gravity Master...mine just won't charge even expose to strong sunlight. Thanks
Time to move up to GSTs, Greg!

@@nealstacy4393 That is the one I don’t have. I have the GST-B100, B200, and B400. I also have the GST-S110D. All great watches!
I have a GST in my “wish list” and I think I will make a decision soon. Good stuff.

No hay de qué.

The blue is handsome, but the green is so much more legible.

Clean display 👍
Estoy buscando los y en verdad están subiendo el precio. Sabes si habrá repuesto para las correas?
This one has an issue.. The battery drops down from full pretty fast and it hardly stays at full..
It seems to stay close to that “Full” mark all the time, even if it isn’t quite at the top. So far the two-year-old watch has been doing well for me.
I’ve had this Watch for 3 years and the Battery is very stable. I go through Winters without any issues.
why cant these gshock get a full charge?

they do it just to annoy us.
