    I was in this job the day before and “got it cleared” and I got a call the next day saying it was clogged again/still.
    I tried for a few hours and then called in the A-Team…….they were on the scene for approximately 5-10 mins and got it flowing 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.

    I just got a k1500 amd the spinning backwards deal to get rid of sludge is a great tip. I got two k1500's and 320 ft of cable with a slue of fittings for 500 bucks. Two types of cable one is from electric eel 8 ft sections and the other is a general cable ten ft cables both are 1 1/4. If i can't get it youre definitely digging the line up. I will say at 100 ft plus out it's a workout wrangling the cable out. My go to is my general max machine with 5/8 solid core auto feed which is a breeze to use. Sold one k1500 and fouty ft of the worst cables for 1200 bucks. Every now and then there has to be a win. Great video guys!

    4 blade spade is good on those machines they have paddle blades for sludge. Spiral cutters on roots and retriever. C cutter on sectional machines suck. C cutter is better on drum machines for that bind up pull back and attack.

    You can run the hell out that k1500 in reverse. It’s not an auto feed machine so as you pull on the handle it just spins the cable only. You have to manually push it in or pull it back regardless of it being in forward or reverse. All that F/R switch does is changes the direction of the cable spinning in the pipe

      I don't know much about sectional machines.
      Are there machines that feed and retrieve the sectional cables?
      I did just have someone give us some 7/8 General J sectional cable. with drill adapter. Can't wait to try it.(Bob)

      🙌🏻 I must have confused it with not being able to run the k-45 or Flexshafts in reverse…..thanks for correcting me on that, I’m still fairly new to this.

    • @tannerwest6823
      @tannerwest6823 4 місяці тому +1

      @@Sh1tzboutagodown any drum style machine(like the k45) they say not to run in reverse unless you get it stuck and have to free it up. That’s because if you run it too long in reverse it can cause the cable inside the drum to wrap up around itself and get tangled up causing it to kink and then you basically have a ruined cable that will need to be replaced.

    • @tannerwest6823
      @tannerwest6823 4 місяці тому

      @@DrainMedic all good Bob. I’ve seen you prove yourself as a great drain cleaner by just using drum machines. Everyone has their own personal preference. Me personally I like sectional machines better but that’s what I was taught to use when first starting out so I’m just more used to running them over drum style machines. And I’ve never seen a sectional machine that auto feeds or retrieves itself. But I have heard that Milwaukee has a new cordless M18 sectional machine that has Cable Drive which is an auto feed/retract device that apparently they’re the first ones to do this for a sectional style machine

    • @DrainMedic

      @@tannerwest6823 Thank you so much for the info on sectional machines. At 52 there's no way I'm pulling 11/4 cable all day every day lol. But what's your thoughts about running 11/4 eel cable with a drill? Just to pop a drain open and go behind it with a flex shaft to clean it up if need be? 10mm flex shaft is good to about 75'. It's funny how much people live an die by what they are trained on. lol Them Spartan guys are ruthless. lol But as you get older you start rethinking things. Them cables are not getting any lighter. Was also thinking k-60 with 7/8 cable. Its also about making thing lighter for Shelly. We all know none of us are making it out of this place.

    • @unclognh
      @unclognh 4 місяці тому +3

      @Sh1tzboutagodown its alright its a old machine style.
      Ditch the C cutter reason is with the c cutter on a sectional it digs in and causes
      Cable filp. Spiral is better on roots and safer withva sectional.
      4 blade spade, spiral cutter, retriver, sludge paddle and a small penetration head.
      Look up your machine on ridgid and look at the types of cutters.
      Don't run that cable with a drill its to long at 15 foot sections and no innercore unless you have all the cable needed in the sewer. No core sectional can kink easy and go wildly out of control
      Look at electric eel sectional cable to see what I'm talking about. I run that with a drill 8 foot sections for better control. Definitely takes some learing but very effective.

      @@unclognhgreat advice! I have two types of cable both around 180 ft. I've used it once just to get a feel for it and I didn't need it but it was nice getting it through a ft of snow in the back yard vs my 275 lb drum machine. Takes longer and all but it's definitely a beast of a machine. My cables are 1 1/4 with the inner cable type. Heavy as hell but I know there's a use for it when the time comes.

    watching the line camera footage i was like hmm dislocate here dislocate there not to bad though then the part where its flooded i was like now that dislocate might be a issue interesting how its right at the bend in the road for the rain drain on side of road wonder if the road has a slight leak around there and its washing out under the pipe cause that is a massive dislocate i would think it would need to be washed out
