That’s only one of the cliches thrown around to grieving people. I too was widowed at a young age and had many well meaning people try to comfort me with far worse things said. The list is so long of the very miss placed words of advice given to me, as a result if I meet a recently bereaved person I hug them and say nothing, words cannot express the loss you feel when loosing a loved one. It’s important to just be there, so say you care and you understand. No one understands unless they have been in your shoes. Regards Helen

My daughter and one of her friends worked in the nursery at his church. I attended there one Sunday as well. I really enjoyed the service! I had been sick and my daughter told Pastor Davey that. He came to our home with a bag of food from Maggianos!! He was so kind! He even asked if I needed help around the house with anything! I was absolutely heartbroken and devastated when I saw this story about his wife!!! I’m so glad he has found love and forgiveness!! May the Lord continue to bless you, your family and your church!! 🙏🏽❤️

Beautiful. I too was widowed at a young age. As a Christian woman I was left to raise three young girls ages 6, 4 and eighteen months. After time I came to terms with what had happened, I too remarried. The only way I could make sense of things as a Christian is, if my story could help someone else who was suffering. It’s been 25 years, I’d like to think I’ve helped others in some way. I’m no pastor or public speaker, but I try to speak into lives of anyone that comes across my life’s path that might need encouragement about grief, in any form. At 10:00 am while he was at work, an intruder broke into my sister''s home where she and 2 of her 3 young children were starting their day. My sister was raped and strangled to death. There was no reason. Her babies were unharmed physically. I shove it out of my mind. Why? She was so giving and loving. WHY?! Her daughter, my niece, died last year 30+ years after her mom. She doesn't remember her mom, my sweet sister. How do we forgive? I still miss my sister. Thank God I believe, but it is still so hard...like it was yesterday. My tears will never stop. I was sexually assaulted when I was a young man in the military and I kept it to myself (not good), I went through life angry, immoral, addicted and and without any purpose, eventually homeless. Fast forward GOD placed people (HIS PEOPLE) in my life and my life has been radically changed. Forgiveness, healing, re-teaching and purpose has helped me find my purpose in life. I walk the streets almost everyday, not because I am homeless, I am not, not because I am using and drinking, been sober for years (GOD IS GOOD), I walk the streets to help someone who is homeless and tell them my story of how CHRIST SAVED MY LIFE!! Thank you for your testimony pastor!!! Your story touched my heart. By the way, I am a black man! Your Forgiveness is beautiful, awesome and purpose driven. Thank you.

This message resonated as my best Christian gf had an affair with my husband and then turned my children away from me for 18 years ( only one texts me) he married her in 2004
My whole life turned upside down my beautiful family ripped apart and I’ve hated her carol for doing this
I’m praying for reconciliation as she stole my husband and my family

And his pregnant wife and child were in the house alone? And he left later than usual for the gym. And their dog didn't deter her murder? And after the gym, he was in his vehicle outside his home for a long time talking to a friend, so he wouldn't wake them? I don't remember all the details anymore. There was another case of a wife who poisoned her husband with Fentanyl and wrote a book for her sons about their dad.

One of them was tried and found guilty of murder, sentenced to 86 years. He was probably the shooter. That's common for the other people to have lesser charges or a plea deal.

I think because he’s a public speaker he’s just not nervous, at all, he’s probably told this story 100 times. So he’s telling it like it happened to someone else. It’s a coping mechanism mixed with his public speaking background. Plus, it was 10 years ago. People move on. That’s life. Doesn’t seem suspicious at all.
