Thank you so much, man. I usually do workouts every morning from your channel and I felt stuck because I didn't have this bar. I'm going to purchase it right away!

Thank you Ryan for making this video. There’s not a lot of calisthenics equipment reviews out there, so I’m glad you’re doing this to help out people. Best wishes
I just got mine yesterday. Before I ordered it, I scratched off the base bar, because the big bar had that hidden feature. Well, I've come to find out that the hidden feature is a hidden feature for a reason. It's too much work switching between big bar and base bar levels. Assembly was a workout in itself. 😭🤣 So yea, I'm still gonna get the base bar and the conversation kit. The big bar is a very satisfying purchase, and I'll be investing in the majority of base block's collection as time progresses.
Don't expect it to be as stable as the ones you'd see at a park. Meaning that I wouldn't encourage you to try anything that would be considered extreme or even stupid. But it's definitely the next best thing. It's very sturdy. Worth every penny. For it to hold up to 600 pounds, it has no choice but to be sturdy.
After watching this, I decided to skip this base block model. The reason I said this is because I have the original basebar, and already having a tough time switching back and forward in height. I saw many pull up bars, and one that excites me the most is the Fit! Home Gym. Sure it cost more but to be able to just snap and go, man that is nice. So with that, I learn my pull ups, chin up through this base bar I have now, get my reps and strength and before moving to the Fit! Home Gym.
I appreciate this comment because I am trying to decide between all these different products, but it seems like I keep going back to the Fit! Home Gym.
@@Ronnock hey, there a down side to Fit! Home gym. That being said, if you are an advanced athlete, or someone already advanced in calisthenic, you might want the Basebar. My nephew has the fit! Question - they offer a Big Bar Pro, which is in the realm of 89" tall. At your height, do you think it would allow for a true straight deadhang without putting yourself at an angle?
Quick question. I'm planning to improve my strength using push and pull exercises. Do I really need the Big bar for pull ups and chin ups? Or I can just get the B bars? How's the big bar compare to a ceiling pull up bar? I am thinking should I just install a ceiling pull up bar which is cheaper than the Big bar? What's the advantages of having a big bar? I'm mainly wanted to do dips and pull ups. And also learning other push pull exercises to improve my strength.
The website mentions that the recommended ceiling height is 98'+ or 8ft 2 inches. I have a standard 8 foot ceiling. Since they recommend a minimum of 8ft2 inches, will I have a problem with it in my apartment? For example, I'm 5'11'', will I be able to do a full rise on a pullup?
When I seen these bars on insta, my face lit up. I love calisthenics and I'm big on explosive training. I wonder though, if I placed a couple plates on the base, would it still wobble significantly when doing explosive pull ups/muscle ups?
when you hang rings from the bar do you have to be directly under the bar? I have a pullup bar similar to this but I have the problem of only being able to do rows because the bar isn't sturdy being pulled or pushed in any direction.
It’s stable, but I wouldn’t recommend anchoring your TRX on it. The TRX would loop around the bar and the carabiner would attach to the strap, so there’s nothing preventing the TRX from sliding off the top of the bar and down the sides. You’re better off anchoring the TRX on a door. It’s safer. I used my rings on the bar but had to be very careful not to let the straps go to close to the sides and slip off.
I rly appreciate how thorough your reviews are. Have you heard of the solostrenght? It's expensive but It look like you can do explosive pull up's with it and if so I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Could you do a review of it if you can?
Trying out their B-Bars for dips,, but for pullups, I got a nice power rack online that is twice as long and stable, half as expensive and can do other things like hold a weight bar, or plug in attachments. Thanks.
I’m not sure how the TRX mounts to a bar, but if it’s anything like gymnastics rings then I wouldn’t recommend it. The straps around the bar can easily slide too far to the sides and slip off.
No, it’s way too large for travel. The base especially. If you’re looking for travel size pull up gear, I personally recommend the Duonamic Eleviia for a doorway solution. I use it at airbnbs, hotels, etc. You can use my code MINUS10 to save 10% on it: www.duonamic.com/product/eleviia/ If you don’t like that option, the next best option is gymnastic rings, but I’ve run into situations where I couldn’t find a good place to hang my rings. That’s why the doorway grips are my preference.
No, it will rock if you try to muscle up. They’re too explosive, especially in the early training phase. I suppose if you’re already a master of muscle ups and you can do slow ones then it could work…
No, I’ve honestly never found a free-standing pull up bar that can take kipping or any sort of explosive movements. You need wall-mounted bars or bars anchored into the ground outdoors.
This looks pretty redundant with the B-Bars. Plus it doesn't really store very well. Better to stick with the B-Bars at least it stores really well and it can be used like parallel bars as well.
