- Опубліковано 22 чер 2023
- My 38 years old well water pump is not working properly. It's been running 24 hours everday for the last 2 months, and no wonder why my electric bill is almost 3 times high . I went to the Tampa Well drilling office and I met a very kind man name James he so knowledgeable about Well water and I been calling him many times ever since and ask many questions he explained to me patiently and send Jacob and Collin and Jacob gave me an estimate and the fallowing day Jacob and Ryan came and did the job . I was very happy with the service I received from Tampa Well Drilling Jacob and Ryan was very knowledgeable and professional. Jacob took the time to explain the process to me and answer all of my questions. The drilling was done quickly and efficiently, and the well is now providing me with clean, fresh water.
I would highly recommend Tampa Well Drilling to anyone who is considering having a well drilled. They are a reputable contractor who provides excellent service.
You have a great looking yard , nice lake is so close Have used Tampa Well Drilling for several decades, Great Company.
Aw thank you dear. Yes they're good.James the manager always fallow up my call
Thank you so much for sharing a very helpful video about this process, to replace a well pump! Great job guys
You're welcome. Thank you for watching. Have a safe day.
I like drilling plunbing electrical works thank you for sharing watching from Philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭
Salamat kababayan. Ingat lagi.
You guys are extremely professional very meticulous in your work. Plus you guys know what you are all doing
Thank you dear. I will let them know.
Always use the pipe clamp on every lift of pipe. We had one slip and the wire almost looped around our neck, never again we were lucky
That's scary. Glad you guys safe. Take care.

Bom dia, gostei da informação ☝️.
Amazing workmanship, great job done.
Thank you.
You can always tell a northern well from a well in the no freeze zone like Florida, up here we mostly use a pitless adapter the moves the water line below the frost level so you never see the water pipe at the top. So all there is is to drop in the pipe that has the adapter assembly at the top and wire the pump to the power.
Have a great day, great job on the replacement.
Thanks, dear. I will let them know. Our well water here built different and not that deep compared to north. My well water only 132 ft deep, and they drop the pump 52 ft deep
THANK YOU ,FROM ETHIOPIA.
You're welcome dear.
Excellent work guys 👍
Thanks you @stephenbullock-yn3vh. I will let them know.
What causes red stains is typically Iron Bacteria. It will stain bathtubs, sinks and toilets. Its relatively harmless to us but they use bleach/chlorine to kill and control it. That's why they poured the Chlorine in the well. I have a 59' well and I made a pvc hand pump for it back in 2016 and then a few years later installed my own submersible pump with 1-1/2" poly line. Not really that hard to do. Look like your pump was 220v. You can get some pretty powerful 120v submersibles now that pump 25GPM. I have mine on a outlet and switch so I turn it on and off manually for laundry and toilet water as my place doesn't have operable plumbing inside other than the toilet. Love watching videos about wells. And may I add you have a cute accent and very pretty girl (I did check your profile 😅)
Aw, thank you . Glad you like the video. Have a nice weekend.
Aprendi substituir conexões por solda. Conexões oxidam com o tempo, enquanto a solda é definitiva. Mas isso é padrão de cada lugar ou país. Excelente trabalho.
Gracias mi amigo.
Soldered wire connections are not allowed in the USA.
@alberthartl8885 thanks for letting him know.
Great Job Guys ! 👍👍 * * * * *
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
Watching here. Thanks for sharing
You're welcome 😊
"Well" done on your informative video.
Very helpful.
Thank you.
I see what you did there!

Great job 👏 saludos desde McAllen Tx 🇺🇸 y aqui tienes un nuevo subscriber para tu Chanel, 🙏👏
Gracias mi amigo.
Excellent video 👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you
I'm surprised that the well was so deep, considering that it's so close to the river! Wow.
Oh, that water on the back is a lake. I have a 38 years old well 130 ft deep, and they put 42 ft pipe line to pump the water. Thanks for watching.
Nice! Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching deae.
I'm sure there's some formula the calculates the depth of the pump by how far the water rises in the casing and how far it draws down when pumping, and how fast it recovers to the starting depth of the water. And the pump is set below that position with a margin of error added in.
Have a great day
It would be nice if they actually have the formula and the description.
They do. I believe the Grundfos manual describes your articulation perfectly
Every professional loves a woman standing over them, trying to supervise.
❤️ 😍 💖
Nice video lady
Thank you dear.
Your voice sounds very familiar. You must be Pinay!
My well is 200 ft. I pull it by hand.
I like well drilling 🇵🇭
Thanks dear.
Crimp connections on submerged wire? Good luck with that.
Any suggestions? Hope will last long for me.
Family has a well drilling company and that is how we always have done it as well. No failures. The heat shrink they're using is impregnated and oozes a waterproof sealant.
@chad2787 Thank you for the info.
Надо использовать синию изоленту ))
I had a well put in. Later I learned always ask for factory installation recommendations. SCH 80 pipe
I wish I knew it before I got mine installed. Thanks for the info.
Haha another Keyboard commando, there is NO outward pressure on the supply pipe, the water is pushed on demand when a valve is opened. When the call for water stops so does the pump.
@mossyoakshomestead8885 oh no problem thank you dear.
You know when they give you a price for work that is the price for no questions and standing over shoulder. To ask questio s and watch or help thats a whole different price and usally is alot more.😅
I got lucky they included it to the price to quoted me 😅😆😘
@@anaillanr3854 haha
They should have staggered the wires . Crimping them all in the same place is asking fore trouble ..
Thank you for your expertise .
I'm not sure why they did that way. Hopefully, it will last me Atlist 30 years . 😉
Rubbish. Makes no difference where the crimps are.
Nice
😘
Thank you for sharing the information. I like to know where I can find the blue wire? It’s a safety wire for submersible water pump.
I'm not sure where they bought it. Try to search it online . Maybe Lowes and Home Depot has it, too.
Harbor Freight pay bar😊
Cool
😉
Thank you for sharing!! How much cost? I’m in Florida 🙏
It's depends on your needs . Please call at 813 971 4512
To change my 38 years old water pump and the pipe cost me around $2200-$2300. So I think depends on your needs. Just call them they are the best.
Where did the green wire go? Shouldn't it have been connected to the metal well casing?
The green wire is connected to the blue big wire. There are different colors of wire inside the blue wire .
There was no green ground wire coming from wherever the power was being fed from. They simply folded over the green wire which was in the blue cable and tucked it in the LB fitting and appears to have left it unconnected.
@elwoodchisom5277 Thanks for your explanation, dear. On that blue wire, there are 4 different colors inside it.
@@elwoodchisom527730+😮 years ago they didn't have the green ground wire. Wiring coming to the casing lacks this connection. They cannot attach the earth ground because it would provide a second bond to neutral at the pump which is disallowed by code - residential should only have a single bond at the panel.
Good job that PVC pipe will still be good when the dinosaurs come back.
Lol
How does the air volume control work without a small hole in the down pipe
Hi there,I'm not sure what you mean by the air volume. If you talking about the pressure . We have a tank that control the pressure. It's located close to my house .
For just a few dollars more you could have used a stainless steel nipple and tee. Those asian imports will start to rust in about 6 months. Then you will get brown water. Silicone filled wire nuts would be a good idea as well.
Aw thank you .I'll call them to change it .
Silicone filled wire nuts is a Joke, Silicone in general for moisture protection is a joke unless you use it as a form in place gasket otherwise it WILL leak and rather than protect the wires it will cause the nuts to retain moisture, they are just fine in the conduit just as the building code calls for.
@mossyoakshomestead8885 finger crossed hopefully it will last me another 40 years before I need to change the water pump. Our old one is corroded because they used steel pipe. In the new one, they installed plastic pipe. What do you think they need to do to improve it? Thank you for your info.
@@anaillanr3854 those men did a great job, outside of equipment failures you have Nothing to worry about when it comes to the workmanship preformed that you received, I have been in construction for over 50 years. Don't listen to the keyboard commandos.
@@anaillanr3854 Furthermore judging by the equipment and labor they provided you with I'm willing to bet they also gave you a warranty, Judging by their professionalism I'm pretty sure they will back it up, your worries are minimal.

Yes
Can I ask you how much this job pls? Thanks 🙏🏻🙏🏻
If you have to ask you can not afford it.
Just wondering, How much did it cost?
To change my 38 years old water pump and the pipe cost me around $2200-$2300
Is that for Drinking, Domestic use? Here that Well wouldn’t pass. It could be Grandfathered in, till the house was put on the Market. Our first Aquafier is 350 to 400 Feet. Second one is just past 1000 Feet. Your no longer allowed to use Iron or Galvanized Pipe. The Semi-flexible Black Plastic Pipe is used. They use a Device that has motor drive rubber tires, to pull the pipe and pump up.
I live in Tampa area and am close to the lake. Our well water in this area is not that deep . They put a new white flexible pipe. My old one is steel and really rusted, as you can see in the video. We used to drink on our well water when I moved here 13 years ago .I can't handle t the smell and taste of it, so I stop and start drinking water bottles . I have water treatment installed 7 years ago. My water is all filtered and treated .
@@stankappiris2242 .Thank you for your explanation. I appreciate it. Have a good weekdays.
Green ground wire not connected, Using 90° elbow plumbing fitting for wiring is not permitted by code.
Original wiring had no green ground wire.
And the chlorine rots out the casing
Oh no . Hoping will not rots. Thanks for watching .

You should never use galvanized pipe for water systems it'll kill you
They used too long a long time ago. The took it out and changed it into flexible pipe.
this is only a summer version
Yes
Why do well services never use safety ropes on the pump??? Makes no sense! How many pumps have to be fished out because of incompetent people installing pumps??
I'm not sure why. 😕 I think they have been doing it almost every day, and they are confident that will not happen. I definitely agree with you that they should use a safety rope to secure the pump.
How much it cost?
How much it cost
It cost me 2300$ +. I think it's depend on how much work and kind if pump you want.
@@anaillanr3854 you got a great deal
Should have kept your copper wire .just sayin
I didn't know they can still use it. My copper wire is 30 years old. I think it's time to change it.
What climate is this ? Exposed pipe outside ?
Hi dear. It's Florida.
Can ask, how much you pay for that job
Around $2300
Why is the pump pipe only 40 foot long if the well is 130 foot deep?
I'm not really sure why they are only putting 40ft long. I think that's how they do it in my area. I live close to the lake. I'll ask then next week. I will call them. I'll get back to you let you know.
It's do to our geography, Florida is sorta unique as it sits on a bed of limestone with a sorta thin bed of clay . The Limestone an sand above it acts as a natural filter . Which allows our surface water to be very close to the surface. 1 property I owned the original well was only 30 ft deep before usable water was reached. Our water is under constant pressure so once you drill down it will push itself to the surface, hence why pipe only needed to be 40 feet down . I could go into a lot of detail on this that would be the length of a book . We have many natural springs in the state where the ground water just bubbles up to the surface some acres & acres wide . One you can Google is called Weeki Wachee Springs, something like over 100 million gallons of water flows from it daily . An unfortunately this is why we also have so many Sinkholes. As the saying goes with the good comes the bad 🤷♂️.
Years ago I was working on one job site where a Well Drilling Crew was dropping pipe an at around 80 ft they hit a natural spring water started shooting up nearly 20 feet in the air which had to be capped off . Another job site in a different county a mile or so away from where I was working another Spring was hit an within a few minutes the surface cap ( ground) collapsed an the whole truck was lost .
So you don’t suck up mud that’s why.
@larryhanshew5173 thanks for your explanation dear.
@paulrooster2108 thanks for the info dear. Have a great Sunday

The electric tape it’s not American 🇺🇸 made it looks very cheap
Hi dear thanks for watching.Have a nice evening.
There is not too much made in america today. As long as it works and guaranteed is all that matters. Even the Biden administration at this point could care less about american jobs and its citizens.
Made you pay for new drop pripe for no reason
This process happens once every 2 decades. There is absolutely nothing wrong with replacing the pipe when you replace the pump.
Nobody keeps galvanized anymore. Sure, her pipes looked fine, but she probably had rusty pipes inside after 30 years. Also, galvanized is a pain to deal with in wells especially if the well is too shallow for it to be necessary. The 45' of flexible PVC she bought probably cost less than $300, will be good forever, and next time her pump goes up will be a lot easier to pull out.
