Been watching you for awhile now and love all your vids. I have a 2018 Dodge Charger RT and got the extended warranty. I have been debating tuning the car for a long time because of that, but I can oficially say that my car is in the shop right now getting longtube headers and being tuned on e85. I absolutely can't wait to get it back! Keep up the great work my man! Hemi for life!
I use a Diablosport i3 tuner on both my Mopars, it made a huge difference with a Diablo tune or a 91 octane tune, especially on my '14 300C hemi. It woke that car right the heck up, and gave my '12 Challenger a big kick in the pants as well. Both rigs have extensive bolt-on mods and this really helped to dial them in.
Those modules are for relatively mild mods. I run the Jet stage 2 as well on my Ram Indy. Like his it calls for cooler thermostat, headers, not cats high flow intake, in my case I have real Ram Air hood. There's a difference when I look at data stream. The timing curve is ramped up, the injectors are fattened up and the shift points are higher in the RPM. I'm sure it would do well with a mild street cam. It's for mild applications where it doesn't make sense to spend big money on a tune. It does it's job. I have a shift kit, mild stall converter, ported intake and 4:11 ring and pinion. It's a fun street truck. I beat one of those Rumble Bee trucks by half a fender. Not bad all things considered. Plan to either add a nice cam or do nice street 408. I'd say save the expensive tunes for more serious mods. Aggressive cams and powers adders require a more in-depth tune. Basic mods most computers can handle.
Yooo no way.... I drove pass you when you where making this video. I saw the blue charger and was like wait one minute lol I started watching you a couple weeks ago because I drive a 05 magnum R/T and was looking up RT videos lol love the car btw 👍🤙

I have long tubes on a stock tune, & I haven't gotten a CEL. Jet's prereq's do say "free flowing exhaust" for the Stage 2 chip. I can honestly say that I've noticed a difference with the chip on my R/T. I've done the prereq's & then some. When the time comes for me to do a real tune, the chip will definitely come off.
If Jet Performance can tune it this way without unlocking the ECM, then there should be a way for someone to invent something similar which allows an interface for a programmer to modify it on the fly. One could imagine something that looks like the Jet chip, but has an interface harness hanging off it and you can modify that chip as you add more mods, etc.

@@luisperez3885 I have long tubes, & had a locked PCM when they were first installed. Had no issues whatsoever. Added the Stage 2 chip to see what it would do, & it was a noticable difference. Especially when I put my ported & tuned TB back on the car. I've since gotten my PCM unlocked, but still running the stock tune. Everything is working fine for me, but you gotta follow what Jet says for the prerequisites.
Yeah I would pass on that jet modular. I think a Dyno tune is the best tune.........
If u have 2014 your pcm will not have to be unlocked, the down side is its designed to do only a limited tune, with mine, (I3 Diablosport tuner) once i reached a certain point was told by tech ther were no more tune updates for my 2014. Ram an that sucked to hear that 450, 350 in US funds down the toilet. Drive an tune, and are available hear were I live in Canada but ther 600, 467 in us funds using a laptop they set the tunes as they drive, An A 1000 for Dino, 780 in US funds. I will save as I go, no more loans. Tunes are not cheap, neither are the mods, but it's all worth it, just takes time on a limited budget. Ones at work are the first to say it's all a waste of money, not ther interest, yet ther the experts, lol they have no idea what ther missing. It's like a person who buys a blade steak, criticizing a person who buys a rybeye steak. They have no idea what ther missing. It may not all be jealousy, but can be, or just a misunderstanding, either way i won't stop, a
i love it. Like you say what ever works for you, steps are made steps are paid, no pain no gain, once you achieved up a level the pain is gone yaaaaah!. Thks again for your videos.

LONG ANSWER SHORT: it's not worth it, save your money and go Diablo Tune
I think he short toss those shorty headers and get long tubes
I have long tubes myself, but shorties do have their place. All depends on the what you want to get out of the vehicle. However, with the Jet Chip, I do believe the long tubes net better gains.
I did the shorty headers when I first got my car . And wasn’t even thinking of tuning it .
But now after I tune it it it may go back the shop for LT headers .
@@stevealoia yea I want to go with kooks headers but they’re so expensive 🤦🏽♂️
@@teenoobaby32 I have the BBK shorty headers. So when I’m ready I’ll go with bbk LT headers again around $1,100
Oh my gawd. Yous new yawkers can’t tawlk right at awl.
Got ripped off but ehhhh I think there might be something lol this guy will always say ehh yah I’m sure it works does not sound promising I thought 💭 I was high hello
Only the true mopar gear heads will stay with dodge
not many around in the 80's & 90's. Everyone was on the LT & LS1 train
@@RTLife true, but the real dodge lovers won't switch from dodge to Ford is what I'm saying. Doesnt mean they will buy the EV cars but they won't switch. I love my ram and plan on buying hellcat as well. Ive wanted one since they came out. Just haven't had the money to buy one
Sounds like a waste of money
yup - I would skip this & get a diablo or HP tuner
I think it is . Go with a tune . You will see more of a gain .
