Ray Forrester 1988 Chestnut Teardrop Dulcimer #73

This is a 37 year old dulcimer I picked up at an antique shop in Unicoi, TN. The original wooden tuning pegs were replaced with gear tuners, new strings were installed and original lacquer finish on the sound box was removed and the finish redone. After playing it, I discovered that frets 1 thru 7 probably need to be removed and reworked to eliminate the buzzing. I imagine that after 37 years of being exposed to different temperatures, the wood has expanded/contracted and affected the frets. It is solidly built and, aside from the buzzing, is a sweet little instrument.
