    I used this ingredient to make cleansing balm. I like it because it's very simple. ☺️

    I'll try this. Lately I have been using glyceryl dibehenate. It also turns oils into butters. Of all the oils I've worked with, the best feeling on my skin is with avocado oil.

    20% is my sweet space. I have some argan oil I need to use up. I going to order some Butter Pearls so I can do my own testing and will let you know how each percentage turned out.

    This is simply amazing. I've often wondered if oil could be used for a lot of body butter recipes!

    Thank you. Could you do a recipe for a lotion bar for a push up tube? That would be great. Lotion bars are my best seller. I came up with a Kombo butter lotion bar recipe for Baraka and now they publish it in all their flyers! I’m Karen Leslie from Little White Lanter and Cabin Fever candles in Ottawa. I’m one of your patreons. Thank you

    Seems like these pearls are a bit more powdery and less greasy compared to LipidThix. I would enjoy a video comparing butter Pearls and Lipid Thix to get your insight of which you prefer and why.

      I'll keep it in mind :) In the meantime, I have done "get to know" experiments with olive wax and almond wax, both of which are hydrogenated vegetable oils. You can find them here: www.humblebeeandme.com/quick-guides/. I'd say they both have their uses-the greasiness of the hydrogenated oils can be really nice for products you want lots of creamy slip for (like this: www.humblebeeandme.com/cream-silk-cleansing-balm/). If possible, it's worthwhile to have both!

    I love it! I bet it would do well in a deodorant bar since it leaves a powdery feel. I have a new place to shop for ingredients. The company is nicely priced and offers free shipping over 60 (which I can easily achieve), win, win!! Thank you.

    • @HumblebeeAndMe

      Yes, I think it would be great in deodorant! Simply Ingredients has a ton of really lovely things, check out their natural emulsifier as well ❤️

    Thank you for this video. How would you compare this ingredient to Cera Bellina wax, especially when it comes to creating oil gels?

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  Рік тому +2

      I wouldn't really compare them beyond them both being thickeners/hardeners. Butter pearls is more creamy/buttery, while cera bellina is more waxy/gel-y. I wouldn't interchange them :)

    Is caprylic/capric triglyceride the same as C10-18 triglycerides? I’m in Australia and have only found the former over here.

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  Рік тому

      No :( Think of it like beef vs. milk-made from the same source, but really different. You can look them both up in the free Humblebee & Me DIY Encyclopedia (www.humblebeeandme.com/diy-encyclopedia/) to learn more.

    Does this eventually build up on hair and must be clarified?

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  2 роки тому

      I'm afraid that would be a big "it depends"-on the formulation, your hair, how you usually wash your hair, etc. I would not think it would be any more prone to build up than any other type of oil or butter; it isn't cationic and won't "cling" to the hair like BTMS or polyquats will.
