  • March sucked. No lie. It is not all rainbows and butterflies over here. I ate terrible, started drinking again and cried. a lot. My family is the most important thing to me and to see them hurting and struggling makes me hurt and struggle. But, I need to be mindful of what I am putting into my body and I need to keep moving. And listen to your body. Cancer sucks. That is all for now. xoxo Amy

Health issues are so hard, especially when it's family and we feel so helpless. It's totally understandable that you had alcohol, you have a lot going on. But you seem to have it figured out and know what you want to do and you will do the best you can as you're navigating your own health issues and those of your mom and dad. And your message is a great reminder to everyone that what we eat isn't always about the number on the scale, that we all should be paying attention to the quality of the food that we are eating as well. And definitely we all need to listen to our bodies and get stuff checked out. They lowered the age for first colonoscopies to start at age 45 because they have been finding colon cancer in younger people these days. Wishing your dad the best in his recovery.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Kathy 🙏. I don't know if I quite have it figured out, but I am trying very hard. And you are exactly right about them lowering the colonoscopy age for a reason!
