  • Introduction to the Vitamin D Receptor and the effects of genetic variants in them. Our ability to absorb Vitamin D is critical to our overall health. Genetic variants can lead to immune dysfunction, chronic infections, major depression, fatigue and much more.

    Interesting information, it gives me some pieces of the puzzle in my autoimmune disease(UC) as well as reasons why my body has not tolerated Vitamin D supplements.

    The medical industrial complex's failure to properly research and diagnose and treat diet and microbiome and sleep and vital nutritional deficiency issues (including those related to Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2 and Magnesium deficiencies as well as iatrogenic prescription medication usage) is a major reason why psychiatric iatrogenesis is a primary contributor to the third leading cause of death in the U.S. (which is iatrogenesis in general). If the U.S. spent just a fraction of the over $40 billion each year it spends just on iatrogenic psychiatric drugs alone, for properly researching the issues discussed in this and related UA-cam presentations we would probably, Lord willing, achieve an absolute revolution in medical efficacy improvement and iatrogenesis reduction.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏 sharing with our PANDAS and Lyme groups. Wondering if mycotoxins could be involved in this process?

    What about v d receptors in scalp?
    Is there relation between hair shedding and lack of vdrs in scalp?

    I have VDR TAQ ++ and have severe ME/CFS and Aspergers/ASD (self diagnosed but awaiting an assessment). I have noticed that most of my neurotransmission is ‘all over the place’ - however, I am noticing dopamine issues that I feel could be linked to the VDR TAQ ++ that I have.

      SmokinJoe93 We are building a software program to help analyze your genetics specifically for brain chemistry imbalances. It can be a complicated algorithm but the program will sort it out. Coming soon! You can check it out at MyHappyGenes.com

    Interesting I’ve got vdr issues

  • @nistelse3859

    1) dunno if this is relevant, but does the vdr exist in all cells and tissues and internal lining (including mucus membrane epithelium such in the mouth-stomach, bladder, ureters and urethra, rectum, nasal)? and in the eyes, prostate, breast tissue? / 2) also, the vid says bacteria could inactivate vdr. so the body converts regular vit d into d3 (?), 'leading to a hallmark of chronic inflammation.' does this mean vit d/d3 can cause inflammation? i thought vit d/d3 was potently anti-inflammatory..??

      look into active vs inactive form of vit d. also receptor attachments depend on affinity.

    how can we address vdr taq?

    • @DrJADunn
      @DrJADunn  4 роки тому +3

      Mike K the combination of vitamin k2-4, k2-7, vitamin A, and vitamin D will balance out the VDR. But be aware that you will be upregulating production of dopamine and serotonin. If you also have genetic variants in the MAO or COMT enzymes it can send you into anxiety and irritability. In our seminar we teach our Practitioners how to address the SNPS in a particular order to avoid side effects.

      @@DrJADunn actually i get irritability with folate. Don't know how it's related. I believe I have low dopamine recently cause I experience loss of pleasure from stuff I always liked. Like sex (diminished orgasm feeling etc). So I would like to try boosting my dopamine to see if it resolves. My genetic test showed I'm homozygous vdr taq and bhmt 02. Some heterozygous for comt and mthfr too.

    • @DrJADunn
      @DrJADunn  4 роки тому +1

      Mike K yes, we use a combination of Vitamin K2 and vitamin A as cofactors and upregulators of vitamin D absorption but if you have a MAO or COMT variant they have to be balanced first. We teach practitioners all around the country to be able to take these things into account and design a balanced program around your genetic pattern. Go to wholisticmethylation.com and look under Methylation tan for Practitioners in your area. Good luck!
