Just FYI it was the super whales of star citizen who asked for a pack with all ships in the game during a convention many many years ago.
this pack exist because some rich ppl wanted it.
The issue is, the money ppl spent, did not go in Star Citizen, it went to Squadron 42. So, the scam argument, is kinda real XD.
I have called it "Corridor Citizen" from the start. Go look at any stream, at any point in the stream. 90% chance they are in a corridor.
While I'd say I agree. Star Citizen is the larger open world do whatever OF squadron. So it's technically same game just the story mode. (Which is probably what the law team says.)

That being said, when the server is lower than 10fps "r_displayinfo 2" to see fps, the animations break and Ai behaves erratically.

The fact that it exists as an option is just completely wild and does not compute.
The player base asked for this edition 12 years ago so they could fund the games development. I wouldn’t ever buy it but a lot of rich fuckers did.

Game is terrible, i come back every now an then to check on it and its basically just as terrible as i remember. Im ashamed that i ever gave them $45 in the first place.
Buying ships for real money is pretty much pointless, it's only to help finance the 2 games, they should write that under every pledge store item.
And most of the time and money have gone into SQ42, not SC, because SC relies on a lot of tech that didn't exist yet and they only recently managed to invent.
But whether SQ42 was worth it we can't even tell until they release it. At least the several hundred developers they moved over from SQ42 to SC are making a very noticeable impact.

A lot of your visual problems you experienced was because you had Vulkan(beta) on instead of DX11. Game still needs a lot of work but when you do find a good server it "can" be a very enjoyable experience. Its more of a thing where most people who try it isn't gonna have fun because they don't have anyone to play with or know what to do. you hit the nail on the head though "its mostly about spaceship porn" yep no denying that. there's a reason me and my friends call it star daddy lmao
ALPHA* lmao after 12years, but to be fair the "game" is more of a tech demo for the gaming tech they are building and eventually they will end up selling the server meshing tech and other things like perstiant server objects and stuff so they are more a tech company making tech inside a videogame
This game is literally the fringe of fringe technologies it probably won't ever really become a proper game but what it strives to achieve will change how we play all games for the better
please elaborate without using their dev teams proprietary terms for game development, I'd love to hear
@@carpelunam WEl if it acheives the server meshing technology which is multiple servers working together to lessen loads by breaking it down into nodes and different servers loads different nodes and if a single node is to performance heavy that to can be broken down into more nodes so say you are playign ark and hosting a server you can only really create teh map and world so big before that server starts to reach its maximum load running all the dinosaurs mining etc then if you wanted to expand that world if your other server is at max you would create another server with another map and makle it so you can travel between them but there is a load time in between cause you are just loading another server so what star citizen is acheiving is making so its all run on one server node infrastructure so you can just expand when necesary you want to add another map or even a whole world you sjust load it up seemlessly and when one server starts maxing performance you can just bring more server nodes online to pick up the slack and they are all running in unison so there is no load screens between regions or anything like that
@@carpelunam simple its called knowing your limits........... they have utterly zero proof that ANY of the proposed tech will even be achieveable in the distant future. funny because the reclaimer is literally the biggest example of that bs claim. was meant to have a totally different claw to what it has now (yes they have said its not going to end up in its current form) but they also said it wont end up in the stated form way back because mechanically its "not possible" and this applies to literally EVERY ship/tech coming fourth.
PES was also the worst thing to happen to SC imo. it works "now" but the damage it did from 3.18 onwards deffo woke a few people up in how they handle developement. and server meshing while "working" and so far has no issues. it wont know how thats going to shape up when they push more star systems (the claimed 100) and how sustainable ths will be when the game loses player base.
Quanta is another great example of "claimed tech" with literally zero info on since like 5 years ago and is essentially the backbone to trading and atm has no "end date" again is it achievable? or is it not? we dont know and its precisely why CIG need to be careful advertising ships "with new tech" because there is no guarantee it will launch in that stated state

I dont blame you for being frustrated. Just keep coming back and checking it out during the free fly events. Glad to see you try it. I would recommend watching a couple videos to see the scope and idea of the game. The Squadron 42 singleplayer game, Star Engine, and Server Meshing. Those 3 videos are why people throw so much money at it.
It is full of bugs, but when it works, there is nothing like it. Hopefully, the bugs get solved someday, but its a facinating game (tech demo) to follow.
Only time will tell, but worth following for entertainment and criticism value.
Lastly, the community is surprisingly friendly, for a bunch of space pirates.
Edit: minimum is $45 for multiplayer, and I highly recommend you play with other people, they will want to use their multicrew ships while you grind for your own.

You realize you can spend $40 and play for 10 years.. ive played for hundreds of hours for $40, how can you complain when $100 triple a games have 10 hours of content? Ive spent $40 at mcdonalds
and do tell us how long its taken you to achieve the in game funds to actually get access to other elements of the game like mining/bounty hunting. because I know full well you aint doing EHRTs with a $40 package and thats a fucking fact. playing is one thing, actually "playing" all avenues of the game and sheer time sink thats required on starter packages is an entirely different issue that no one wants to talk about

Listen.... you don't want to grind? Nobody wants to grind. Grind is only fun if the activity for it is fun. Try FPS combat, ship combat, salvaging, mining, hauling etc....
Only if you enjoy some gameplay loop, grinding makes sense, otherwise don't waste your time.
You did not seam like you acually wanted to learn the game, btw I don’t jump to far location because I don’t want to wait 5 minutes to play 🙂↕️ but that is a games fault for long ass jumps there should be a dock station to go to that would make it a loading screen or something so it’s more playable going to far ass places!
the point of star citizen is to have no loading screen at all. anywhere you see on the map or on a planet is a place you can land and do stuff on. A seamless game experience with a learning curve. If people want lots of loading screens and a game to hold your hand, starfield would be the one.
