Branson Scenic Railway Excursion Ride 9/4/20, Branson, MO

- Опубліковано 29 вер 2024
- We took a ride on the Branson Scenic Railway which is a roughly 40 mile round trip (20 miles one way) on the Missouri & Northern Arkansas railroad. We got to ride in the Silver Terrace on the bottom level to the 113' trestle and in the dome on the wwy back. I have added just a few clips of the ride with some of the narration provided over the speakers. Some of the clips provided is going through two tunnels, over the Lake Taneycomo Bridge, and stopping on the Walnut Creek Trestle. If you get the opportunity to visit Branson, MO., this should be one item on your bucket list. They do the Polar Express in Nov. and Dec. and a Dinner Train every Saturday evening throughout the year. The background music was provided by the Branson Scenic Railway and not uploaded as a choice of my own. Here is the link to their website below:

Great video!!!!We are taking the Branson train on 4/18/2022!!!!!!😀
Awesome & Enjoy!
Hey I'm not to far from Branson I should try that
It wasn't a bad little ride. It gives you something to do without actually having to do something....lol.
Awesome train very cool thanks for sharing this
Thanks for watching!
I thought it goes over two trestles.
No, they stopped on the only trestle. There is a bridge that goes over Lake Taneycomo but it's not really a trestle. The A&M RR goes over 3 trestles.
Looks like a cool train ride with nice scenery
It was a great little trip. Not the Rockies or Appalachians but one that is well worth it.
I wish we would have done this last year when we were there. We saw it but just didn't have time.
It was a nice ride. There is another one out of Springdale, AR that's good too.
Dome is the place to be. Best views above the trees. Why is it the Branson Scenic Railway instead of Branson Scenic Railroad?
I agree Mark! They are Branson Scenic Railway because the road (tracks) are owned by the Missouri North Arkansas Railroad and have trackage rights to use.
I was there in 2006 with my son. Lots of fun
Thats awesome! That is like our 2nd home. We take our camper and park it at the RV park right below the bridge over Lake Taneycomo when we go.
That is an awesome train ride.
New fan here. Full support sent your way.
Thanks and Welcome Aboard!
@@TheTrainFreak Thank you for Connecting as well. See you soon..
Awesome video.
Thanks!
@@TheTrainFreak You're welcome.. Have a good rest of the week.,
Thanks you too!

Lol Dome is such a waste of time and crowded. Better to get a more spacious seat with table close to the snack car. You can see out the window just fine.
I bet during before the showstopper came in March the dome was packed. They actually had spaced out the tables when we went. We only got to ride it on the way back and I wanted to get the kiddo that experience and the dome does help give modelers examples of the top entry of the tunnels. Thanks for watching!
We just rode on this and we were able to snatch a dome car since we were the first group to aboard. The ride sucked! So many trees.
Sorry to hear that. Best time to go in my opinion is Fall when the trees change color so everything your looking at isn't green. If you do not like the trees, waiting for the winter months will allow you to see through the trees as they won't have any leaves. Unfortunately the scenery in MO & AR isn't anything like the Rockies. May I suggest adding Cumbres & Toltec and Durango & Silverton to your bucket list if you want superb scenery. 😃
@@TheTrainFreak Thanks for the tip. We were hoping to go South to see Arkansas way but he went North. It was a nice experience though.
Yall didn't go over Lake Taneycomo by the landing?
i only ride this train when they do a polar express theme during christmas
but thanks for the video
Ehren wants to do that this fall. Did you wear your P.J.s when doing the polar express?
@@TheTrainFreak yes every year except last year
How much you paid ? Looks like an awesome ride we went to Grand Canyon Railway rides too
Tickets were like $35 each. They do not assign seats but the first certain amount that buys gets guaranteed access to the dome.
@@TheTrainFreak thank you I like to ride to the dome.
Wow. Awesome ride. Thanks for sharing the fun, Jason. Take care.

It was lots of fun!
Awesome video Jason! I'd like to do that with my family sometime. Thanks for sharing, a lot of info about the Railroad, history of the locomotives and passenger cars. Very cool. Have a good holiday weekend!
Thanks Marty and you too!
Jason, thanks for the video of your ride. Found it quite interesting.
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
The first table you sat at as you got on was exactly where I sat when riding this in 2006 haha.
Thats cool! Was it the same car or a different one?
@@TheTrainFreak Yeah same car, except everyone entered from the the same door on the raised platform so I got to walk through a good part of the train to get there.
That's pretty cool!!!
