nice video. did you know the origin of the dome car was inspired by a cab ride of the chairman of the budd company in a locomotive . he wanted others to experiance what he saw and developed the dome car.
The guy at 2:53 talking about "pickaxes and shovels" may not realize that it was likely leased convicts digging them, many imprisoned for simply being unemployed, doing extremely dangerous work

Rode it back in 94 while I was visiting M in L in Willow Springs Mo
Wish I could ride a train because, I'm only ones I've rode are the ones at Six Flags over Texas and Silver Dollar City.
