it was mostly dondi's fault for rage baiting people and saying "if you don't like it then stop playing". What we saw was probably what they were going for but decided to change it after the community's outrage.

Kissen needs to tone it down a notch or two. She sounds overly disgusted and honestly, overworked. If it irritates her that much to interact with the community once a month, maybe she should refrain from saying anything at all.
eh...do you answer tons of dumb questions? It gets pretty tedious and aggravating after awhile. The tone seems fine, it's just curt. I'm sorry Kissen isn't typing 40 extra words in a sentence to validate ones' feelings.

I treat "professionalism" as I treat politeness, with HEAVY skepticism. I immediately become on edge and try and figure out what the other person is covering up. Why else be polite? It's forcing people to behave in a certain way that doesn't actually reflect how they feel. I'm fine with how they talk, at least I know what they're thinking.

@@nvstewartsame I actually had a video playing ptera and it was still really fun despite its stamina problems right now, I bet the changes it’ll get will just make it better and more fun, we can hope.

The hacker issue is such a nightmare that it should be prioritized. I honestly wish we can all stop playing the game in unison so they can actually do something about

Hackers will always be an issue in any online game. Like Kissen said, they have more time to spend on getting around game protections than the devs have to try and stop them. It does suck, but your idea wouldn't magically make the hackers go away or the devs magically be able to get rid of them.

I’ve come across hackers every time I played so far in the past 2 weeks. If it wasn’t as rampant as it is, I’d be fine with what you’re saying, but it’s not it’s gotten really out of control, no idea how on a horde test noless where you’d think admins would pay attention more to

0:41 they have a total of like 4 servers on the Hordetest and they're not even full most of the time, and yet an entire team of admins, devs, and mods can't keep them in check. Do they have like 2 admins total or how tf is that even possible? Literally how is it so difficult to have one admin per server in admin mode?

They are lazy and don't care. It's the only answer that makes any sense. It would be so easy for 1 person to ban all the cheaters on these 4 horde test servers.

Probably because Rex relies on a form of combat that is still not finalized and does need more development put into it

@@oppenkloppen9044 you did not get a prototype. You got a prebuilt asset flip they bought on the Unreal store and plopped it into the game so they technically couldn't be called liars by the community.
@@No_name8374 I mean I could be wrong but there animation and movements between Maia and teno look pretty different. And even if they showed Rex before Maia doesn’t necessarily mean they didn’t work on Maia before Rex but kept it more as a little surprise. Just like the allo. Allo vs Maia is gonna be lit!

The devs announce and idea that they are working on. The community says that is a bad idea and they do not want it, youtubers make videos detailing its issues and what it could improve, but why it is not needed.

@@No_name8374 The reaction needs to be strong for the idea to be drilled into their heads that we don't want it, otherwise they'll just brush it off as a small portion of the community not liking it and release it anyway. A perfect example would be the first iteration of the stamina system. While it was in stress test, instead of people going "this is fucking stupid, don't add this" they were on the fence about it and just waited for it to be fully released, at which point everybody despised it until it was changed again. We could have prevented a month or so of headaches if we had just made it clear to them from the get-go that it was an awful idea.

The reaction to the camera business was completely insane and unnecessary.
It was something that was talked about and not even properly showcased...
Either way, this is their game and they are going to make it their vision of it.

@@Diobot What are you even talking about, what does PoT have to do with anything? The reaction WAS constructive. There were dozens if not hundreds of detailed, in-depth posts in the feedback channels explaining why the change wasn't good and how it should be done instead, in a perfectly civilized and constructive manner. The devs just ignored that completely because they want to push the narrative that the entire community is made up of rabid animals ready to tear them to shreds for no reason.

I lost my Cera 4 times by hitbox hackers. One of the dinos grabbed me like 50 meters from the water.
That's just normal Evrima gameplay. I see it all the time. A dino can hit you from 3 dino lengths away while they bite air. Carno does it the most.

The devs are constantly so cocky with some of their remarks. I hope they remember who the customer is at the end of the day and who they’re making the game for

I worry for the isle if the server numbers have to stay at 100. Imagine 20 people play deino say there are 10 pteras and what 20 herreras thats already 50 players out of reach for most land dinos that leaves 50 people on this huge map ya get me.

@@igeere3207 nah. ive never played any other game where hackers are as common as in this game...the only time hackers are rampant is when the game is old or isn't receiving updates at all.. even then in others games i don't see a hacker every single game session. maybe once to three times a month at max...

Because people overreact to every possible change that could come with the game. Now not to say that the hate toward the potential camera changes weren’t warranted! They definitely were 💀 But sense people blow a fuse with everything they showcase, they seem to have now js found it better to not showcase anything early in development

@@1usineiro I assumed in good faith that it was about the max. in zoom position for maneuvering through bushes and other dense foliage. But the way don said it with his 'sarcasm' was definitively triggering the bad faith in many people in his audience (even somewhat in me).
On one hand I understand the not streaming anymore cause people are ungrateful but on the other hand why wouldn’t you want to stream and showcase stuff for all the people who aren’t like that.
I feel like being a dev should mean you hold yourself to a higher standard and not stoop down so low as to be punishing the people who buy the game and love it.

If it were me I wouldn’t want to stream while I’m actively working just seems exhausting cuz if your working you put yourself in a working mindset and are trying to get things done not interact with a whole community and constantly explain things and trying to keep things in line so I think them not streaming is totally fine plus it doesn’t mean that they still can’t show things it’s just that it won’t be live

Last time they showed a super early concept of something (the camera changes) this games pathetic community review bombed the game into oblivion, which has immense impact of the game devs finances. Games with mixed or negative reviews will be bought much less than ones with positive reviews. The reaction to the camera change showcased how absolutely insane a good bunch of people are (the same people who flame the devs for months under every single news video here instead of moving on from the game). Can't blame them for not wanting to be harassed again

I think there going to make it optional could be wrong. Personally I would switch between both.
the camera change is already out, it changed in the april update.

@@KC-rn3bd the pictures I've seen of the camera system aren't squished in but ok. The ones I've seen are slightly zoomed in where u can't see ur creatures tail. Either way they weren't going to add it in since it was just a prototype

This game would be finished by now if the entire dev team worked as a consolidated unit instead of stretching themselves so thin that updates just don't happen on time. Why would they be doing ANYTHING human related when the dinosaurs have no gameplay loop that makes absolutely no sense to me.
All the devs work on different things like dinos while others work on humans.

They use ESP which allows them to see all players on the server at all times. They use speed hacks which allow them to make their dino run as fast as they want with unlimited stamina. Have you seriously not seen those dibble hackers who can run faster than a galli? They also use cheats that allow them to kill any dino in a single hit.

You do realize that the new camera has been out for months now right? It was the thing that let people go into first person and made small dinosaurs have a close camera in the grass

@@kenshinhimura9387 You can stop spreading that lie around, last weekend had a total player peak of ~5,8k players. Hordetest has been around for a while now so people have lost interest and moved back to the main version, that's pretty normal

@@Rodolfien I get alott of the content creators or big names can get a little dramatic and so can their peanut gallery’s, but I can kinda see why alott of people freaked out about it as it was just a really genuinely shit idea. Like the camera really has 0 issues and is perfectly fine where it is, they should focus more on fixing animations and other shit that doesn’t work. Or giving the animals some dynamic movement to make the game look better.
I can deal with alott of the changes they make but I think the locked first person camera is the one deal breaker and it doesn’t sound like I’m alone on that one.
It would be kinda like if the devs announced suddenly they wouldn’t be working on apex dinosaurs anymore, it’s one of those core qualities of the game and I think that would make alott of players leave
