Just watched your video, based on what you did, would you just recommend opening the hood, undoing the shock mounts on the hood and close the hood to install the brackets to prevent it from moving? Planning on doing an install in the near future. Thanks!
It’s been a while but if I recall the bracket uses the hood hinge hardware so you need to be able to slide the hood back and forth to get every thing to line up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Where did you buy the mounts? Do you have a link? I see similar ones that people have shown issues with, not fitting etc... Your seem to fit out of the box, which is the way it should be. Looks great!
The mounts are from DB Customs. The only place that makes true fitting mounts. There are copies on eBay and amazon but they are made from inferior metal and aren’t tested for fitment so those are the ones that have the biggest issues. These fit great and weren’t to hard to install. Just a process.
Welcome to the FJ life. They are great trucks. I’d give it a good once over make sure everything is in good working order. Suspension bits and such. Grease your zerk fittings on your drive shaft, do spark plugs, and a new air filter drop in and your good to go.
@@grazigarage Thanks, its in very nice shape, 2010 with 67,000 miles. I traded a 2012 Rubicon for it, plus some cash. It is SO MUCH more comfortable then the jeep. Amazing! It does have some surface rust on frame. I ordered several cans of Eastwood Frame paint which will be getting done soon. I have seen some of the horror stories of the rusty frame issues. So I plan to try and nip that issue before it happens to me.
Yes used a relay for both ditch lights and bumper lights. Battery>Relay>Switches>Lights. I liked having the constant power when unloading at night up in Utah. Only con was when you forget they are on and your battery dies lol
Thanks ! And they are just the standard Rigid LED cube driving lights. The smaller ones they offer fit the best. I know some guys have run the larger cubes but I think they look ridiculous. The fit was great I definitely recommend the DB custom brackets and not the eBay or amazon copies.
Those look great! Have an FJ 52" LED Light Bar on my roof and these would compliment them just perfectly!
I preferred these over a light bar but if you added these you would have some serious lighting

Greetings fellow Vegas fj owner. Putting mine on this weekend. I used a relay board so wiring will be a snap. Thanks for the tips.
What size rims and tires are on there?
Could you have left the good closed when you were putting the brackets on?

great video, tons of info! What lift and tire size are you running?
This was on king 3” lift and 35s
Did you wire the lights directly to the battery ? Will they turn on even when the car is off ?
