Ordinarily no, you don't want to rely on secondary elements even with the +100% counter bonus in codex. As mentioned in the description, he's mostly there for consistency in destroying mirages while contributing serviceable forest/fire damage. Whether that makes him amazing is for you to judge :) I just really like Giles so I was a bit playful with the video title haha, the main DPS is still Lenore. You could definitely use a different forest unit in Giles' slot if you prefer.
Well you're in luck. This week's boss is even better for rainbow teams. Any unit that has any kind of summon (even Judge Jr.!) can create chromatic tiles.
Jeno healing in active skill is news to me. It happens becuase of BT3? I like to watch this kind of video becaus I want to learn more about Sanity gameplay. I don't have Lenore, but Jeno and Giles are too good and enhances the damage.

If you mean during the card draw, no, that healing is from May EQ. Whenever sanity is consumed, May heals.
@@CognitiveMango Oooh, I didn't know. I begin my game in Lenore event, so I don't have her MBT, so she don't heal...
It's from her EQ, so the sanity to heal conversion should be available at BT0, but I can't test to confirm since mine is MBT.
