In Irrational Treasure if you pause at the right moment you can actually read the some of the documents in the room and one of them references time baby.
Yeah. It also discusses how Thomas Jefferson was just two kids in an overcoat, and how Santa is the president. The animators/writers on this show deserve SO much more credit than they get from the world.
Fun fact: If you go back the scenes in which they lost their stuff, (aka. the Pilot, the fishing one and the one withe the wax dolls), you can actually see the Time Traveller in the background
for those who are wondering why mabel acts selfish towards dipper in some episodes and why dipper acts selfish toward mabel in some episodes, it’s because..... they’re siblings
Fun fact: Justin Roiland and Gravity Falls creator, Alex Hirsch, are best friends in real life. That makes his role as Blendin Blandin even more awesome.
@@sleepywalker87 Okay, SPOILER!: That is STANFORD. Not Stanley (Grunkly Stan). Stanford is Stans twin brother who was there before. After Stanford went missing, Stan took Stanford's name so that he could make a living (while secretly trying to find a way to get Stanford back). Another way to know that that was Stanford is because Stan never wore glasses when he was younger.
Having just finished binge watching the series and now watching these reactions, seeing 10:15 and realizing its the other Stan since he has the line in his chin makes me realize the twist didn't come out of nowhere and that this was planned from the get go. Talk about heavy and subtle foreshadowing all rolled into one. This show was great.
Mable confuses me. On the one hand she's this adorable little cinnamon roll that never ceases to make me laugh. But on the other hand, notable from this episode onwards, there have been many moments where she practically sacrifices Dipper's happiness for her own, or Dipper sacrifices his own happiness for hers. I dunno.
TheHappy_P0tat0 But Sipper’s unhappiness is literally his own doing. He has to accept the consequences of his actions. Mabel lost waddles because of _him._
Well thejoke of this episode was that Dipper wouldn't get a happy scenario as long as Mable got hers. It's not exactly his own doing if the universe is being a dick about the whole thing.
SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED THE SHOW That mindblowing moment at 10:15 when you realize that AJ's theory about Grunkle Stan in this cabin was correct
This was the episode which prompted an entire theory, which actually turned out to be completely accurate. 10:22 Isn't it weird that Stan has a cleft chin here? E normally doesn't have one...
This episode and the later one, Blendin's Game left me wondering about something. Who or WHAT is Time Baby? Is he a ruthless dictator, a roided out Baby New Year and why is Blendin's timeline so evil
+sadlobster1 In a newspaper found in the show it says something along the lines of, "A giant baby is trapped under the North Pole, but there's nothing to fear, for the poles never melt." So I assume Time Baby woke up after the poles melted, conquered the world (as we see in that one scene) and rules it.
+sadlobster1 Not necessarily. The word "evil" is a highly subjective and grey matter. We consider Bill to be evil because of his disregard of life and lack of empathy, but he does not think of himself as evil. He likely has feelings, thoughts, desires, and emotions that we can never understand. He's from a different dimension. Time Baby also most likely has this same layer of ambiguity. We don't know or understand his motives. In history, figures such as Julius Caesar, Alexander the Great, Justinian the 1st, Augustus, etc. all waged wars, took power, were the catalyst of murder, rape, pillaging, and needless death, yet we do not see them as evil. We look at them from a historical viewpoint; men with ambition and drive. So maybe Time Baby isn't evil. Perhaps he just wanted to conquer the world and rule time. We don't know.
I can't wait until you guys get to season 2!!! Great episodes are ahead 😊 also please make sure to watch star vs the forces of evil after. It's great too
I was thinking Mr. Meeseeks, but nearly half of the characters in Rick and Morty all share the voice actor, including Rick, Morty, Meeseeks, and about 15 other characters are all voiced by him
@@thefvguy5648 Eh, I like all 3 seasons, but I think season 2 was probably the worst. It had a few episodes that are the best of the series, but there was a pretty bad quality drop between My New Wand/Ludo in the Wild and Sleepover. These episodes were pretty much trying to be like early Season 1, but not as interesting and stretched over more time. Season 1 and 3 are pretty much polar opposites (mostly slice of life and some story towards the end vs. mostly story with some slice of life mostly sprinkled in at the beginning).
I don't know if you guys have seen this yet, but I would love to see you REACT to Netflix's THE CROWN! There aren't a lot of reactions to that show online and it would be awesome to see The Normies take it on.
Hello Normies, I am a 1 Dollar patron, but I was emailed links for this early access. When I open patreon, it is locked (as it should be), but the email had a few lines of description ("It's Community Falls and Gravity day YO!" ) and links directly accessible. Just letting you know.
julie martinez Not to mention the fact that Dipper was basically trying to take Waddles away from her for his own personal gain. Dipper didn't even really make a sacrifice. All he did was decide to live with what he'd already done, rather than hurt his sister by taking away something she valued. I'm pretty sure that's just basic morals.
PwnyGOD The Mabel favoritism is more evident as it goes on but yeah its like even when the roles are kinda reversed Mabel still never even attempts to sacrifice her happiness for Dipper even after everything hes done for her happiness. Dipper is made to deal with it for Mabel's happiness but Mabel never does the same for him. I dont think even when she fucks up or is obviously being selfish she ever even apologizes for it.
Yeah, this is the real issue. I side with Mable in this one, but there are a lot of examples in this show were Mable doesn't sacrifice her own happiness for Dipper, when Dipper sacrifices to make her happy all the time
Best part is blendin is actually in all the previous episodes
Mark Lewis it's funny his name is blendin and he blended in this whole time
no only the first three i think
Yh
Yeah since episode 1
no he’s not he’s in the first two to three but not all of them

The only difference is dipper learns to be less selfish and Mabel never really learns that (still love her tho)

That makes his role as Blendin Blandin even more awesome.
there's also a small crossover between both shows that involves a scene from a later episode.

Why didn’t Dipper just tell Wendy to duck, the there would literally be zero chance of the ball hitting her eye
Did happen pretty quick though?
chris sonofpear1 He could tell her to duck before he threw the ball
Also Mabel could of just brought Waddles with her instead of constantly winning him
