Thanks for the tip. The neighbors already think I'm crazy using snow foam, 3 buckets, leaf blower...Toilet bowl brush will certainly get more comments :)
Sean any comments so far about the toilet brush?🤔😂
Haha! It gets the job done!!
I do the same thing then put it back in the bathroom.
Woooow. You're kidding right?
@@googleuser476 But a used toilet bowl scrubber?
I've known Scott for over 7 years. Scott is a genuine person and good father. Scott will steer you in the right direction!
You are such a blessing as you've just saved me 20 bucks!
Lolll! I just bought my first car and have bought so much detailing products and lots of pricy detailing brushes from chem guys. Nice to see someone suggest something that works well and isn't a brand name product. Thanks man ❤😚
SCOTT....Great Observation, great Tip.. and you explained it with out repeating yourself multiple times.... Thank You
Unorthodox method but i will try it. My car is lowered and when i do full wash, i need to raise up the car with a jack to get some space
I told people this its basely toilet bowl brush really they will do the samething good video buddy tell the people
what about dressing wheel whels? do yoy use some high end product or some more economical because in a few miles wil be again filthy??? do you use water based such megs hyper or somtheing like stoner trim shine?? or again it depends the car ??/ kind regards
I do the same thing man! Haha great choice!
I think I know my next car detailing buy 😀
Thanks man, saved me £30 buying ez go brush
I've used toilet brushes before for wheel wells and I find them too firm for cleaning plastics. A good alternative is the EZ-Detail or Speed Master PRO brush. More expensive, but similar design with much softer bristles that agitate better.
Toni Pieleanu yeah better be careful with those plastic liners that get smashed by rocks all day long..lol
The ez detail brush isn't nearly sufficient for really dirty wheel wells since the bristles are so soft and just roll over and fall flat without removing heavy soiling.
You can also control how much pressure you apply with the toilet bowl cleaning brush so not to scratch the already plastic wheel well that gets smashed all day long...
Ever see plastic wheel wells from some living on a dirt road or fine gravel road?
In Texas we have people who own huge ranches with long gravel driveways, those liners are trashed even if they are driving 80,000 dollar vehicles:)
For me the toilet brush didn't clean well because the bristles would not come in contact with the whole liner surface. I guess it depends on the car and type of soiling. My car never goes off-road :D
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing we think just alike i told people this brush works great for wheel wells great video buddy
Love this video, but now I have to throw away my big wheel well brush! But I won't, I'll save it for cleaning under hoods. Thank you Scott! Take care sir!
Scott! Another great idea! :)
Daaaaaamnn saved me alot oh money
Nice tip, thnx ❤
Man I love you channel bro
I've known Scott for about 7 years. Scott is a down-to-earth honest person and a good father.
Never spoke with the Scott until I called him with a question about a Maxshine polisher. Very pleasant and helpful. Thanks again Scott. Have used that machine and love it!
Wow u took me by surprise u r indeed a genius 💯
Now that's a great idea. Thank you.
This whole detailing thing is a riot--products, techniques, etc. It can all get so confusing. Started reading/watching videos, it is all kind of trial & error depending on type of car and choosing tools & products, Aye. Aye, Aye. Scott, you seem to come up with creative ideas on savings on both tools & products, When I got my Range Rover (all Black) & started doing it , my
Subaru Outback, & Ford E-150 Chateau Clubwagon, people would drive by asking if I was in the detailing business! Said no, just have 4 vehicles & a motor home to do. My husband hasn’t washed a single car in about 10 years! Who could afford to pay to have these done nowadays. So, as a teacher & 68 years old, here I am killing myself keeping cars clean & house is a mess. Anyway, sure am learning a lot. Now I just have to pick up my speed. Any ideas? Thx a million!
No matter how well i clean them, I'm always left with a residual haze after agitating. Any methods for removing that extra film of dirt?
Lol I was just thinking what could I get to clean the wheel well and saw this video thanks man. Saved me money I was gonna get a brush for that for 10 dollars lol
great info
have this problem with my honda element sc 18 inch wheels no space to get in there these wheel wells are plastic with some kind of black sound proofing coating dirt sticks to them like crap on carpet lol
knew i would get the problem solved here thanks
wow.......why didn't I think of that. "So simple so easy"
Great idea.....I also a few house hold cleaning brushing as well...like I use a bottle brush for my engine bay in those hard to reach places & in between cord/cables.
I have a stuff square dish cleaning brush, which I scrub my tyres with...U gotta improvise.....Thanks for great unfiltered advise SCOTT..👍
Just fantastic stuff sir, all the tips and tricks you have been given us is just simple , cost less and do the job well, Thank you
Scott, I've been trying to find a better tool and method of doing this. Super happy I came across this video, no need to over complicate this.
Finally found something that will work perfect the new cars are so low gonna be getting one soon thanks .
Hi Scott, thank you so much for that tip, I have had major problems trying to find a tool to clean the wheel inner liners, I’ve tried everything from micro fibre towels, which don’t reach all the areas, to flexible long reach noodle sticks, which are soft enough, and flexible enough, but too flexible to accurately make contact with the entire area, thus missing parts of the wheel liner, thanks to you I have now found the prefect tool!!, love and best wishes from the European Union 🇪🇺 x
It's funny you brought that up to clean the wheel Wells with that I actually use a toilet bowl brush when I'm cleaning my engine to get into hard-to-reach places works like a champ. Love your videos lots of great useful information and tips
Hey Scott, could you do a review on the HydroSelix??? I can't trust anyone else on UA-cam :)
The stiff bristles don’t scratch the plastic of the wheel well ?
I use that brush to clean my toilet bowl
The ez detail “go” brush is the only one I use..works amazing
i use it for wheel well and tight spaces when cleaning engine bay.great video
Go Ez Detail brush is to go for .. bristles are far much forgiving than a toilet brush especially when detailing a new car with plastic wheel wells. This toilet brush is stiffer because its made for a toilet not plastic
G. Osiris it works trust me
Scotts on fire today. Guess we will call him the man on fire.
How do you like to clean the felt-like material wheel wells?
That looks just like my toilet brush Scott.
I was just complaining about this! Then I use a rag & bust my hands up... Why didn't I think of this! Sighhhhhhh... Good thing I have you now roflmao! 😂 😂 😂
Huidos001: Thank you for the compliment. I actually enjoy cleaning it though.. ;-)
Katrina Georgia Girl awesome reply:)
Great idea! Thanks
THANKS AGAIN GREAT VIDEO
You are a brilliant man
Thanks alot scot...
Well I better run to the dollar general before they sell out!
Toby Higginbotham true i told people before these are great wheel well brush
Great video
Ingenious lol
Brilliant!
A brush is a brush.
scott wud say "you need 2 c the bigger picture" "think outside the box"
Just starting out and doing this more on the side than as a profession right now. Quick question, with a speed jack and jug wrench, would it be easier to remove the tire and do a more thorough cleaning of the wheel well plus could degrease the back of the wheel itself. I know it's more equipment to carry and more time consuming but the results would be more appealing to the customer in terms of going above and beyond for the customer. Your thoughts please
Thank you
