Its 9:19pm here in Germany and I couldn't stop listening to this song. Being isolated and locked down for more than 5 weeks now and such songs keep my spirit high. I do not understand the lyrics except the Tamil rap, yet this song is so good.
Hi i m from Odisha, India the language is Sambalpuri an Odia... This is a fusion of 2 songs. First one is Sambalpuri. In the song the boy is singing to his girlfriend calling her Rangabati(means shy girl) and by flirting asks her to talk with him with a smile(Rangabati Hasi pade kahalo Katha). Then the girl says " i m so much blushing that my head is spinning so please atop flirting with me(laje laje jhuri jauchi matha lo nai kara nai kara atha) and i m stuck in queen's thread for having dream of a king.(Sapana Rajara sapana Ranir lagi suta mali helena gutha) 2nd part is the national song of the state... In the song we are praising our mother state and saying its always full of happiness and always full of life our mother state.... Other name of Odisha is Utkala..
I forgot one line from Rangabati song. The girls say "e akhin asiche jete sapana e jibardhana Jibara jibana gala ratan he, mane mali mahakana, aha mor dhana kede milana chana chana hesi mana" means" the dreams i have of you, oh wealth of my life, the life of my life, the jewel of my necklace, there is fragrance of jasmine in my heart. When we will meet thinking about that my heart is racing"
Hei Glaxon. Thanks for watching. It's a regional song from Odisha in India. Do consider a visit in future, I promise you will return with a feeling like you never hv before.
Just to inform, "Rangabati" is a famous song from Odisha, in the Sambalpuri dialect, the last part "vande utkal janani" is Odisha's state anthem, though the rap was in some other language, probably Telugu

Utkarsh Singh the Guy in White Shirt is Rituraj Mohanty . he is singing Odisha's state anthem " Vande Utakala Janani" .this patriotic poem written by Kantakabi Laxmikanta Mohapatra in 1912. Conning neighbor of Odisha during British raj was trying to destroy the Identity of Odia by taking shelter of British. 1st they attacked the Language and claimed its not a language a dialect of their immature language. Imposed their language and tried to abolish the medium of education with English translated their immature language books of having some 35K words ( as per their Dictionary ) . And tried to imposed the inferiority complexity. During that period we struggled for our identity and culture. 1st Odia dictionary published with 1.6 Laksh of words and it is one of biggest dictionary of any language in world till date. During that moment to make the people come out from this conning planned artificial depride this poet writer this song. this song was one of the catalyst to make Odisha ( Orissa) separate state in 1936 ( 1st state in Language basis in India ) and the movement of Odia Classical status ( Only one North Indian Language got Classical Status) . so People of Odisha love this song as sailor of their identity. English translation : I adore Thee, O! Mother Utkal How loving are thy smile and voice! O! Mother! Mother! Mother! Bath’d art Thou by the sacred Sea, Thy shores adorned with trees tall and green, Balmy breeze blowing by beauteous streams, O! Mother! Mother! Mother! Thy body bedeck’d with dense woodlands, Arrayed with verdant hills plaited like waves, Thy sky ringing with choirs of singing birds, O! Mother! Mother! Mother! How charming are Thy rich fields of corn ! Thou art Eye to Erudition enow, Sacred Abode to saints and seers, O! Mother! Mother! Mother! Thy land bejewelled with splendid shrines, Richly dress'd art Thou in varied arts, Thy limbs studded with sacred sites, O! Mother! Mother! Mother! Thou Home to the valiant heroes of Utkal, Thy frame crimsoned with enemies' blood, Prime Darling of the whole universe, O! Mother! Mother! Mother! Greeted by Thy great sons, the crowning bards, Thy untarnished glory proclaimed all around, Blessed art Thou, the Holy, the Unfalling Abode, I adore Thee, O! Mother! Mother! Mother!

Every time Rituraj sings "Vande Utkala Janani," I get goosebumps. 🙌 Huge thanks to the entire team for creating this musical gem that's been a significant part of my journey. 🙏

This is one amazing work. I heard this for the first few times on Utkal Divas 2021, and with no knowledge of Odia, I could understand a little because I knew words "Bande Utkala Janani" because I could pick up Bande from "Vande" Mataram, Utkala from "Dravida "Utkala" Banga" of our National Anthem and the Utkal Desha. Janani is synonym for Mother and I studied in my school. I did a little research, and now I can sing 60-70% of the song without seeing lyrics. Bande Utkala Janani. Jai Karnataka. Jai Telangana. Jai Andhra Pradesh. And yes- Jai Hind.
Hey my Odia peeps lets make this viral again ; like it was when it was released but at that time Internet was not as casually used, no Instagram etc to make it trending otherwise this would have mad craze in primetime. Lets to this. I am tired of seeing our state not getting the due recognition it deserves.

This song sounds sooooo muchhhhh like Bengaliii!!!!! I don't know a single alphabet or word in Odia but I understood almost 80% of the lyrics, if I hadn't seen the description I would have never know always thought it was a song from a tribal area or genre like Baul.
Being a Bengali, I always fall in love with the Oriya language and music subsequently. Let it be Rangabati, Balika Badhu, Noa Noa... excellent music, always touches my heart. Oriya people are also exceptionally talented. Vande Utkala Janani🙏
@Sumeet P who the fuck told you bro . Go and learn kid India don't have a national language Hindi is one of theofficial language of India. It is even not a classical language .6 classical language are present in our country Sanskrit Tamil Telugu Kannada malyalam and odia. Hindi is a mughal language derived from Urdu and Urdu is mixture of Farsi and devnagri. So we don't want a foreign language to be our national language unity in diversity is our beauty don't destroy it mate
Vande Mataram is from West Bengal. Vankim Chandra Chattopadhyay wrote it. Odisha has a bad habit to claiming Bengal's culture as their own, from Rasogolla to Vande Mataram they stayed true to their nature.

Its 9:19pm here in Germany and I couldn't stop listening to this song. Being isolated and locked down for more than 5 weeks now and such songs keep my spirit high. I do not understand the lyrics except the Tamil rap, yet this song is so good.
Thanks bro..I'm from ODISHA, INDIA
Hi i m from Odisha, India the language is Sambalpuri an Odia... This is a fusion of 2 songs. First one is Sambalpuri. In the song the boy is singing to his girlfriend calling her Rangabati(means shy girl) and by flirting asks her to talk with him with a smile(Rangabati Hasi pade kahalo Katha). Then the girl says " i m so much blushing that my head is spinning so please atop flirting with me(laje laje jhuri jauchi matha lo nai kara nai kara atha) and i m stuck in queen's thread for having dream of a king.(Sapana Rajara sapana Ranir lagi suta mali helena gutha)
2nd part is the national song of the state...

Utkarsh Singh The guy in white jacket is famous odia singer Mr. Ruturaj Mohanty, recently won India's RAW Star..
ChanguMangu Would u plz Write the full lyric?? :)
English translation :
I adore Thee, O! Mother Utkal How
loving are thy smile and voice! O! Mother! Mother! Mother!
Bath’d art
Thou by the sacred Sea, Thy shores adorned with trees tall and green, Balmy
breeze blowing by beauteous streams, O! Mother! Mother! Mother!
Thy body
bedeck’d with dense woodlands, Arrayed with verdant hills plaited like waves,
Thy sky ringing with choirs of singing birds, O! Mother! Mother! Mother!
How
charming are Thy rich fields of corn ! Thou art Eye to Erudition enow,
Sacred Abode to saints and seers, O! Mother! Mother! Mother!
Thy land
bejewelled with splendid shrines, Richly dress'd art Thou in varied arts, Thy
limbs studded with sacred sites, O! Mother! Mother! Mother!
Thou Home
to the valiant heroes of Utkal, Thy frame crimsoned with enemies' blood, Prime
Darling of the whole universe, O! Mother! Mother! Mother!
Greeted by
Thy great sons, the crowning bards, Thy untarnished glory proclaimed all
around, Blessed art Thou, the Holy, the Unfalling Abode, I adore Thee, O!
Mother! Mother! Mother!
