Ingredients
To Make Roast
Oil - 3 Tsp (Buy: amzn.to/2RGYvrw)
Coriander Seeds - 1 Tbsp (Buy: amzn.to/2sP7i1Z)
Cumin Seeds - 1 Tbsp (Buy: amzn.to/2NTgTMv)
Fenugreek Seeds - 1/2 Tsp (Buy: amzn.to/2Sh0x1P)
Red Chilli - 15 Nos (Buy: amzn.to/37DAVT1)
Gongura/Sorrel Leaves - 2 Medium Size Bunches
Garlic - 3 Cloves
Salt 1 Tsp (Buy: amzn.to/2vg124l)
To Tempering
Oil- 2 Tbsp (Buy: amzn.to/2RGYvrw)
Mustard Seeds - 1/4 Tsp (Buy: amzn.to/2TPuOXW)
Cumin Seeds - 1/4 Tsp (Buy: amzn.to/2NTgTMv)
Urad Dal - 1 Tsp (Buy: amzn.to/2Ul3EZi)
Chana Dal - 1 Tsp (Buy: amzn.to/2GNn2WT)
Garlic Slices
Asafoetida Powder - 1/4 Tsp (Buy: amzn.to/313n0Dm)
Few Red Chillies (Buy: amzn.to/37DAVT1)
Curry Leaves
Method:
1.To a pan, add oil, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, red chillies and roast them for 2 mins.
2. Turn off the stove and keep it aside.
3. To the same pan, add some oil.
4. Add the washed sorrel leaves.
5. Cook until they become mushy.
6. Turn off the stove. Keep them aside. Cool the mixture.
7. To a mixer jar, add the roasted spices and grind it to powder.
8. Add cloves of garlic and pulse it again.
9. To this add the cooked sorrel leaves and salt. Grind together into a paste.
10. To another pan, add oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dhal, chana dal, garlic slices, asafoetida, red chillies and curry leaves.
11. Once the mustard seeds splatter, turn off the stove and add the sorrel leave mixture. Mix well.
12. Turn on the stove and cook the mixture until oil separates.
13. Andhara style gongura pachadi is ready to be served.

where did she add onions?! why does she mention onions when it’s not in the recipe?
Is this used as a condiment like achar? Or is it a dish?
I made this pachadi today for the first time in my life. Mixed with hot rice & seseme oil ... Wahh wat to say... wonderful. Everyone didn't stop licking their fingers & cleaned their plate 🤭😂.. thanks for the recipe 💐

When do you add onions in this recipe. You said to leave out onions if we want to store for a long time but I didn’t see you add onions . Is it just sautéed in to the gongura?
If u add peanuts n sesame seeds taste good . But this is the original way of making. Thanks for the recipie.
