I'm watching this with my daughter who is 5 years old. She asked how much money you're counting and I said "it should be $2,000". And she says "Mommy we should get $2,000" which I told her that I agree. Then she says "you should ask her for money" 😂
Wow... I've been trying to convince my fiance to do an envelope system for so long.. Then we get in a hard spot and have no back up and I'm like "see, if we did the weekly/envelope system..." And he'll agree and say "yea maybe we need to try it".. but then when we're ok again, he thinks we don't need to. Maybe I should just DO it and not give the option for an opinion.. just say hey we're doing this and this is how it works.. So awesome that you did this. Very inspiring
Sometimes, we must "just DO it" without partnership. Good Luck. Also, don't change that "fiance" into "husband" until you are on the same page when it comes to money management. It's more important than you think.
you should take the initiative. It doesn’t take two people to put money into an envelope. If he isn’t willing to give you a little bit of money every paycheck for BOTH OF YOURS SAVINGS then maybe you should reconsider who you’re choosing to spend your time with. Wish you the best.
If he is willing to, as long as you handle the money though, once you get in a tough spot and pull out that money to cover everything right away, that would probably be enough to get them onboard from then on.
Really cool! You should invest it so at the end of the year instead of just having $2000, it can be $2100! So like every month instead of putting$15 in an envelope, out it in a bank account and then transfer to brokerage account (mines on my phone), and invest it! Really fun to get free money that way!
This was sooo satisfying to watch! I’m debating doing the 100 envelope challenge in 2022…I feel like I might have a lot of savings challenges planned but this seems so fun and rewarding I might have to make it happen 😂😂 awesome job, girl! 🥳
yess, though im late, i love this, a kind of weird way i save up money (i dont have a job because i am young and my parents said i should stress myself out yet, im 14) everytime my friends get change from lunch or my parents do, i ask for the change, change is annoying so ofc, they hand it over and i have made around 40 dollars in just change. from sept, pretty good for an inconsistent flow and it being in small amounts, i love your vids :)
Buffer is a smart idea for the extra money and also maybe a new case and accessories is you need for your phone ! I know when I got my phone I got a really protective case and it was like $30 😬 so exciting !! I can’t wait to finish my boxes !!! ❤️
I'm so happy for you!!!!! It's so crazy to watch you do the box challenge and complete it. It gives me hope that I can complete the challenge as well. Congratulations 🎊
Definately accept the watch as a gift (if he can afford it). Accepting kindness and generosity from others is actually very gracious....and will allow him happiness as well because he can do something he knows you'll like. You can always keep the cash you earmarked for the watch as an emergency backup for the future.....whether it's your car or a medical emergency etc.
That was super cool that you saved all that congrats. What was better the stuffing or unstuffing? That his so sweet of Mike. Glad you got your car fixed. 🚗
I think you should do a mystery box challenge. Stuff the envelope with a different amount each week without recording. See how much you have at the end of the year.
About to start my sinking funds and savings challenges and your videos really inspire me to actually get going I ordered all the things I needed to get started and I can not wait
I’m new to saving challenges and am loving videos like this. I knew there was a 100 envelope challenge but I didn’t realise the rule about amounts at first, I thought you stuffed random amounts - so that’s what I’ve been doing. Not sure if I should restart with set amounts? Or if it’s better The end result to be known or a Surprise? I hope I’m not disappointed at the end - as I am stuffing small amounts so far, like £5/10/20 . My budget wouldn’t allow me to do it the proper way, as I’d never be able to stuff the high amounts each week. Well done For finishing! Amazing result!!
I think putting away any money is a win. I just bought this box and can't wait to start. I unfortunately had to get it from a different seller on Etsy though.
I'm so excited to start this challenge with my husband next year, can you please let us know when the kit is available to order..Thanks in advance..new subscribers
Congrats, I am starting one, but I am doing it small. I want to see if I can keep it up. Created on December 1.2021. I am doing $1.00 per day. I am starting with the larges number. That way, by the time the month is done, the denomination gets smaller, and it is easy to keep it up. When the month is over, I will use that money to pay bills, and if I have leftover, I will use it to start the next month.
I've got to wait until the end of the month before I get anything to put into savings. And when I get paid, $500.00 will go into my savings. So far I have $7800.00. And just now I am responding on the same quote that I put on here before. As I enter into Feb. I put in another $500.00 and so now I have $8,300.00. Just keep saving.
I have to take my car to get looked at as well. Blah lol. Also, I can't wait to do this challenge and unstuff it at the end of next year! Love my box I got from you!
Just something to consider, dollars are losing value fast. Trade dollars for tangible assets. But items that hold value and/or start business and invest in skills.
I can't wait to start a box for myself with the new coming year! I have an a envelope for my car fund but this would be good for something else or an emergency fund idea!
Very interesting...very disciplined on your goal...you succeeded... congratulations. 👏 Where do you purchase your clear zip lock vinyl pouches? Great job! 👍
Let Mike get the watch. Then use whatever is left from you getting the phone to replenish what you took out to get your car fixed. Use the extra after that to bulk up your car repair fund. My goal in my car repair envelope is $2000!
I'm not really sure what's the point of the box or the folded cash but possible topics of conversation could be planning your income taxes before the end of the year, maximizing the form 8880 retirement saver's credit, the importance of an emergency fund, getting your 401k plan's employer match to immediately double your money, contributing to an IRA vs a Roth IRA, opening a taxable investment account and how to find less expensive alternatives to every single expense. All of which will serve you far better in the long run.
Hi! How big are the envelopes themselves? I already have a little container that I think they would fit in, just want to check. Also, are you going to have an option on your next restock for just the envelopes? I like to try and reuse as much as possible

Same thing I told my fiancé! I am starting . He gives me money .. mostly his whole check for bills so if I do these methods he will be ok
@@mariabarker2036 Absolutely correct. I'd also add being on the same page whether to have kids or not.

This is amazing! And that's totally right that it's not from a bank so it won't be super visible in the balance. I think I will do that too :)
🐕🐕 woot woot! Congrats on your savings and new phone! You inspire me with every video.

Congratulations Tara. I’m going to relabel my Tara box using your denomination. They seem more feasible 💙💙 I originally did 1-100

Congratulations and great job!
Watching you stack the cash is making my OCD go off the charts.

@Faggot Rotten It's still fairly new... I bought it in 2017
Put the extra money in your wedding envelope.

I’m sharing your videos with my 16 y.o. He loves saving his tips, and this may be a better way for him to do it.
If it snows, I hope it snows 3 feet here in Kansas. It has been years since getting snow up to 2 feet.
Congratulations!! What you did was awesome. I hope next year I can do the same. Way to go girl!
I honestly love that your ocd with your money lol I'm the same way!
