The airport they visit in Spain is the Ciudad Real Airport which was opened in 2009 and operated for three years until April 2012. It was later reopened in September 2019 and was used as an aircraft storage facility during COVID.

It was an airport that was built in 2009, but closed just three years later, because of the Great Recession, and the fact that the airport was poorly planned from the beginning.
The name of the airport was Ciudad Real.
In short, this was taken when Spain was still recovering from both the Great Recession and the Eurozone crisis.
Apparently it was bought by a Chinese company for about $11,000 6 years ago
