Danni & Joe
I’m so glad you guys like your legs and for letting me make something for your lovely floating home!
They are perfect, it's really transformed the space we have, thank you so much!
Anyone who has an entire shelf dedicated to coffee is a winner as far as I'm concerned.
One way to get work done!
A sponsorship from Posca paint pens would be pretty handy for Danni doing designs on that shelving!
Yes have heard of them! Good shout, they'll be awesome for that
I LOVE the breakfast bar legs. I also LOVE the gold leaf. I bet it looks even better up close. The camera kept showing the green walls
Thank you we're over the moon with how it's coming together!
Hi both. More fab progress. Tiles in bathroom all look great - so much thought and care gone in there, and breakfast bar looks terrific - great choice for the legs, and we love the gilding on the cupboard ! You must be so proud of what you've achieved ! Thanks for sharing. George and Trish.
Thank you for all your support, we are so pleased with how it has all turned out so far!
See The Wood Be The Wood
schwalbe marathon plus for your tyres - bombproof :)
Need some more tyres for Danni's bike will look them up
Got a bit behind but I get to binge a few videos and it looks like you’re nearly there! Great shot of the A400 flying by, flown by legends!
Holy shit! It’s gold! I thought it was green on instagram because it reflected the green paint!
Yeah we were surprised by how it picks up the colour from whatever it's next too, it's quite a nice effect!
Coming along smartly.
Thank you!
Love the tiles and breakfast bar
Thank you!
you're nearly there now :) a gentle suggestion - if you'd used a rail on the bulkhead for the breakfast bar you could have slid the breakfast bar along the bulkhead anytime you needed to seat 4 persons
That's a good call, hadn't thought of that, we are planning on screwing the legs into the floor though as if we stagger in drunk one night and bump into the worktop it might rip the fixings out the wall! 😂
Omg you guys are doing a great job, I love the breakfast bar.
Thank you!
Recently subscribed to your channel and have been enjoying binge watching your Narrowboat series. Not watched them in any particular order as I've also been watching your new van build videos too. Loving the content and can't wait to see how the van turns out.
Thank you!
Just came across your channel and have been loving the vids from when you first started totally love your narrow boats we have nothing like them or the canals here in Australia you’s have done a bloody fantastic job on your boat you both should be very proud of your achievements
Amazing, thank you for joining us!!
I have lived on my narrow boat for ten years now, I have seen vloggers come and go; and have become weary of the same old formulaic dross, your content is a breath of fresh air, keep up the outstanding work. 👍👍
Ah that's really kind! Thank you. We've got some more projects lined up, although the boat will remain our base and home for the forseeable!
Danni, Joe, Such a pleasure virtually being with you every week. Joe's Dad is amazing, and what a craftsman, we can see where Joe gets his expertise from. Danni, I loved your Gold Leaf application, and the the legs for your breakfast/dinner Bar. You are both doing a spectacular job and the boat is looking amazing. Have a great week. Take care.
That’s very kind thank you so much!
Nice one Joe, and nice one Joe's dad on the tiling, bathrooms aren't the easiest and your wee bathroom's shape must of been quite different.
Thanks Paul, yeah i'd say the hardest thing was lack of space, would've liked to have given the old man a bit more of a hand but you end up tripping over each other! 😂
Looking fab guys 👍
Thank you!
Great job guys
Thank you!
Hi danni re gold leaf if you had a large make up brush waff it in your hair technical term for building up static you can move the leaf around without touching but excellent job
Ahh lovely thank you will try that next time!
Love watching you guys, make sure you seal that grout.
Good shout!
Looking great u2,,, although, I'm seeing broken toes on that table,, lol keep up the good work
Every think is a hazard on this boat when us two are around,! 😂
Awww you almost there and every thing looking grand you have done so well be proud of yourselves as we are of you like our own Ann n David the oldies xx👍🙃🌺🌹🌷
Ahh thank you guys!
Check out Tannus tyres, one product is an insert which surrounds a slightly smaller inner tube and the top product ia a comletely airless wheel..no punctures
Will take a look thank you
Brilliant. Someone else who struggles with angles. I can do really clever, but that completely floors me. 🤣
We're not alone by the looks of it!
I remember the days of cutting spray foam. Looks great now and much better than I would have envisaged
The good old days of stained yellow 😂 what a journey it's been!
Hi Joe and Danni, I feel so excited for you both. If you had to you could comfortably live on your lovely boat. I loved the legs before you told us that they are made from reclaimed materials. Now I love them more ❤️ Wishing you safe travels and a happy positive trip.
Thanks Penney! We're slowly making the moving in process!
Danni, just wanted to say well done on the gilding. As a first attempt, very good. R
Ahh thank you! Very kind. Love the process will be trying more in the future for sure! Any tips?
@@DanniandJoe happy to pass on tips. I'll be making some oil gilding videos soon. You will get a great finish using oil size instead of acrilic size. It takes hours to be ready but the brush strokes flatten off in that time. Transfer gold leaf is much easier to handle and perfect for flat areas. R x
Oh lovely we’ll keep an eye out for your videos when we tackle some more!
Over the moon for you guys, take care, and thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much!
Your boat is just getting better every week, you should be so proud of yourselves! 😍
Thanks so much! 😊
Great vlog and what a transformation…. love the wee dual
eating space and super legs.
Thank you!
I just love your beautiful home you both are doing an amazing job ❤
Thank you so much!
You are both amazing and so inspiring! I have learned so much from watching you and can't wait to start putting some love into my little narrow boat (when I find her!!) x
So excited for you! It's such a process but worth every hour, swear word, tears the lot
looking fantastic , well done
Thank you!
WoW so many skills turn it in to a lovely home well done
Thank you!
Is that gold leaf made by Wileys of Ruislip? Because as i recall that was what i used when i was a bookbinder for H.M.S.O. in the 1970s. It was quoted as being quarter of a millionth of an inch thick. We used to pick it up with cotton wool, rubbed on forehead, which had just enough grease from skin to pick it up, then vaseline to position it, with glaire under it, ( a mixture of egg albumen, vinegar and a dash of milk ) then hot brass type to heat it into the back of the books. As to your bike, puncture proof tyres are available or kevlar liners, which is a thorn proof tape you put in your tyre between the tyre and the tube. These are on average about £10 for a pair ( dependant on wheel size ) and are brilliant at puncture prevention, rather than sealing after the event and only guarantee to get you home.
Not actually sure on the maker but what a lovely story! will check out the kevlar liners for sure!
Looking good guys loving everything you do
Thanks Tracey!
It must be lovely working together with your dad. Your home is looking great! Well done. 👏👏
Yeah something i'll never forget for sure, made some lovely memories building this boat! Thank you

Thank you!
Great work guys. Its looking right cosy.
Thank you! It is isn't it?
It's all looking good,. You have done a great job considering the amount of work you have had to do and fitting it all-around your work as well. You will need your holiday to recover.
Looking forward to a holiday for sure but really really looking forward to spending some relaxing time on the boat!
looks good keep up the good vids thanks lee
Thanks Lee!
the Danni and Joe American Tour !
Looking forward to filming it to be honest! Danni and Joe Do America
well , thank god for Dads. I think you
Definitely!
Omg it’s awesome. Doing soooooo well. So very talented and you make things look so straightforward til a dingbat like me try’s it lol. Have a great week.
Thank you! We do edit some swearing out don't be fooled by how easy some things look! 😂
I love following your progress and talents weekly, and your home is looking lovely. I have been a bit worried about the doors to the outside, which have the big gaps, showing daylight through ? When are you going to address these, as would hate to think any rain would get in and damage your hard work. Cheerio xx
They look worse on camera, we've got new doors ready to fit just not got round to it, they're gorgeous - little tease - we've got stained glass!
Hi guys Love the pantry but - Youve probably sussed it by now but - if you watch other boaters hitting things with their boat it causes havoc inside their boat with stuff flying all over the place eg Narrowboat Will - just thinking about stacked tins flying about behind with glass doors. Is there any way they can be stored in there so they dont fly about? Just a thought.
Think your progress on this project is asolutely amazing, design, build quality you are both amazing. Steve n Joan
I think that'll be a learning curve when it happens, we're planning on tins going under the pantry etc, maybe have to do a reposition of breakables every time we cruise if not - it's only every fortnight to be fair! Bit worried about the glass front on the pantry though. Thanks Guys!
Generator issue might be due to a lack of an earth, On you tube there are videos about floating earths where they bridge the ground to the neutral so smart chargers work like for charging a Tesla, however would get advice on this first, Ive not tried it myself, maybe that’s why your gun would not work
Oh didn't think of that! Will do a bit of research
@@DanniandJoe Let us know what you find out. Could be interesting. Only if you want to that is
What multimeter have you used please to measure battery power?
Those nail guns always need a little oil befor using them
Will try that!
Just wondering why you want to permanently fasten that paneling? Wouldn't it be more beneficial to have it removable so you can get back into that area for storage?
That was a thought but the storage below the bath is minimal (aware every inch counts!) but the hassle of the grout cracking (quite likely) - we have opted for a small access panel to the left
Looking great! Your almost there! Where are you going in the US?
Here there and everywhere really, Miami/New Orleans/Chicago/Route66/Vegas/Californiain general + Hawaii
@@DanniandJoe Driving? Stop by in Indiana. Lol!
Hi Joe, just a thought.....did you ever replace the breather on the new rocker cover ?
It's on the list, i've got the connector now and the right size drill, might do it tomorrow!
Is this going to be your permanent home?
It will be yes 🙂 we’ve got some more projects lined up in the future but the boat will remain our base and home in the UK
What will you call your breakfast bar if you have lunch there? Good progress!
Are you intended to vlog and share you US road trip with us?
😂😂 Yes we'll be filming throughout USA, really excited it'll be completely different to filming us working!
@@DanniandJoe (I've seen your Scandinavian trip)
Hopefully we’ve gotten a bit better at videos since then too
👍👌🇨🇦❤
Thank you!
:)
Thank you Jon!
Don't feel too bad about not being to see how to cut those L shaped angles. I have never figured that out!
So glad it's not just my brain!
@@DanniandJoe You reassured me as well! LOL
Gold leaf on a cupboard that contains baked beans, are you sure?
Baked Beans are a top tier staple that deserve the finest of storage
He will have to attach that cupboard to the wall or it will fall over
Have been on the look out for some suitable brackets
@@DanniandJoe Use some Chain
@@michaelbottomley2520 ah like on the oven. Nice one.
OHH that gold is awfull.
Just as well we haven't been working on your boat
