Awesome video. What would be your call on a purchase of a Tornado versus a Nitro? I'm 180 pounds and will be flying tandem flights with my wife (130 pounds). Many friends tell me to purchase the Nitro, other the Tornado...🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
My nitro has been more reliable however I hardly ever fly it since I've gotten the tornado. The tornado has much more power I wouldn't do tandem flights with the nitro I don't think it has enough power. I'm about 175 pounds and wouldn't take someone up on tandem with my nitro
Hi! This a brilliant video. Thank. I am close to upgrade myself with the new paramotor and its definitely will be Tornado. Can You give me your opinion if the 140cm prop is not too big for this 150cm cage? It looks like it is too close to get some lines get in, especially the break lines. Between 130cm prop and 140cm what would you prefer? Thanks
Honestly hard to say. I feel like the 140 is a bit smoother because of slightly more rotating mass or something like that but I have snagged a brake line on a bad launch which left me with a broken wing. I still fly the 140cm but if I had to do it over again I'd maybe just run the 130 with the smaller cage because I like the more compact size of the smaller cage units. Whatever you decide I can't stress enough getting one with a clutch. The ones without I really don't like the feel of. So much vibration and shaking during idle. Just get one with a clutch. Also the new xc version is much smoother too!
@@GrahmDettling thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, they don't make 140cm cage. I will try to ask them if they can supply with 135cm prop. It will be in between 140 and 130. To loose little bit less on thrust compare to 140, but give slightly more room in between the cage and the tip of the prop. Thanks for advertising about the clutch, as I wanted to buy without it, as the extra thing can go wrong and it is not cheap to replace it. But I am not ideling much anyway, only maybe a few minutes before the take off. I have to think about it. I keep watching your and your mate Berry videos. Thanks, very informative!
@@vitaliyzakrevsky3233 I had a non clutch unit and hated it compared to the one with the clutch. Any slight mistake when setting up and having the motor running and you pull in your glider on accident. And the smoothness is much better on the clutch unit. Also I had a decent bit of belt chirp on the non clutch at idle so I'm sure you'd go through belts faster. I've never had any issues with my clutch but I just recently got the parts just as backup in case and it was just under 300 for all the parts to replace the entire thing. It's obviously up to you but I think you'll be much happier if you get one with a clutch
@@GrahmDettling Thank you very much for the advice. Yes looks like I will go fot the clutched one. In the meantime, I asked them if they sell one with 135cm prop. Hopefully they do. Blue skies and all the best!
Well I can't speak on behalf of the two blade one the guy that owns that is kinda an idiot so he probably put the wrong fluid in it all together. If I had to guess he probably used honey and a fish tank bubbler he has a bit of a fetish with that kind of stuff
WOW at the vibration on the non-clutched unit!
Once you bump up the idle a bit it smooths out some Im sure.
Ya it did have quite a bit of shake at low rpm but it does smooth out when you're flying

TORNADO...100%
Great power....SADLY getting parts..and not the best service..will hinder some sales ..
FYI, when I ordered my Tornado in November 2019 they told me non-clutched is no longer an option, though it is still listed on their website.
I'd say that's a good call. It did start better than the non clutched but it sure was a lot of vibration
How is your tornado ? Any issues? Mine damaged the piston and cylinder under 35 hours
Great video, may I ask your height? I am shopping a Tornado 280 xc clutched titanium race 2 with a three blade
Just under 6'. I love that engine when it's working but if you're not over 200 lbs I'd go with a moster 185 for reliability

New sub
Was all the clutch fluid at the same levels ? That could make a huge difference in the vibration if not.... just sayin.. lol ;)
