@@zr6951 his hyungs brought him up with so much care and love, he saw their struggles, their pain, their happiness and how they covered it up and how much they did for him, I think that's what the comment meant. His hyungs and of course his family gave him such good upbringing

Jungkook sings with emotions because 1st, he is from an extremely warm & humble background himself; 2nd, he is an extremely warm & introverted person with artistic instinct whose middle class parents are artists too; 3rd, Jungkook is born with a warm & expressive voice too which is seen during his videos of singing & rapping at age 13,14 & 15 ; 4th, he was denied a studio room & vocal coach despite being their main vocalist & no one was ready to let him practice singing in their room, so he moved to an unhealthy closet where he practiced singing, music making & professional video making. That's why he for the 1st time took a stand for himself & said no when RM being insensitive told Jimin to try keeping a name for his studio if he wants like 'Jimin closet'. Jungkook immediately told it's his copyright bc it's so insensitive as only Jungkook lived like that after leaving RM's room & no one has the right to use it as a fancy name which is a disrespect for his struggle & emotions. Even now he has no real room & has to be in hall with Taehyung. I guess Bighit always treat people with their family's financial background based hierarchy, even while booking vacation hotels & tour hotels etc.

Nothing. His parents brought him up well. And he has a gifted voice just like Charlie Puth & Justin Beiber & the angel works super hard to sing well & is a sharp minded person who learns fast anything in field of art bc his parents are poor but artists too.😊
jungkook's vocal range is amazing. Its tall, falsetos. And to think that he was only 20 years old and already showing his talent. I admire him more and more.

I just discovered your channel from your jungkook reaction videos and the responses you made towards that other kpop analysis guy, which were very good. I thought the criticism Jungkook faced was undeserving and too harsh; he has stated many times he likes to use breathiness and soft but also high voices as stylistic devices. I can't understand why they're so blinded by the preconceptions that a singer has to have a certain technique or have a certain range to be a good singer. Can't they see how much emotion his voice has and his tone is so pleasant? You can't get tired of listening to him. He's very special and I've never felt this way towards an artist before. I like your reactions because I can really relate to them. Sry this was long ahaha. (btw watch burn the stage, as a jk stan my heart broke to pieces seeing him risk his health for his passion for music 😭)
Ree 1 he may like singing that way but from a professional viewpoint breathiness implies the singer doesn't have good breath support and the sound is not as full as it could be. I love Jungkooks singing but just had to say that really quick. My choir teacher always gets on us for breathiness. However, some songs like this one I do think require more of a breathy tone of voice to communicate the emotion in the song.

Steph Payn I'm not super good in this singing stuff, but when I think about it I don't see why someone can't sing with both a lot of breathiness and good breath support. Tbh I think to sing breathy and sing it in a pleasant and stable way you HAVE to have really good breath support!
And I really think that breathiness is just not the sound your typical American choir goes for. Choirs sound amazing singing with these cutting, full voices. It's a different sound so a different technique is the "right" one. But outside of that context "right" becomes much more wide of a term.

Breathiness is also a completely stylistic choice. Not only that, in Korea, airiness is kind of favored.

True. I too feel the music & it's emotions bc of his expressive singing even when I don't understand the language or the theme. For example, when he covered 'oh holy night' on Christmas, me being a non-Christian, non-western person ended up feeling, understanding, thinking & listening the whole song throughout the Christmas day & the next day & I commented too under his Twitter upload.😅😊

Yes but also his hard work . He laterally practiced singing while jumping and exercising to make it stable and he said every single time he practiced only going on practicing because he thought the other main vocalist are very good . He also didn't do vocal classes because he thought by this he will loose his style so he practiced by himself.

Boy. Before, they have been trainees, which means they were trained in this. They were trained to sing, dance and even speak other languages. It sometimes can take a long time to go from a trainee to an idol. But Jungkook joined Big Hit ent. In 2011, and he debuted 2 years after, already at the age of 15. He almost didn’t debut, because of how shy, quiet and timid he was. Everytime he was asked to sing, he would start to cry ;( he was also sent to LA for dance training and was taught different styles of dancing.
Now here he stands, a member of one of the most popular kpop groups. I’m so proud of both Jungkook and BTS ❤️

I love how you're a professional vocal coach who really knows a lot about singing but whenever you react to jungkook you just go into full awe and start rambling about how you don't understand how he does what he does and just completely fanboy over him. He's gone through so much in his life from family issues since he was five to joining BTS since he was around 15-16 so it's not really a question on how he puts so much emotion

Jungkook was 15 Korean age, but about 13 yo, international age. BTS attended both JK's middle school and high school graduations.
Jungkook's voice is one of main reasons I got into BTS. I love all the vocal line's voices just as much as Jungkook's now, but I didn't hear them really sing before I got into BTS. When I first heard his voice, I thought his voice was so pretty and unique. Idk just something about it. Even when he is singing high, he sounds stronger and clearer than a lot of other pop singers I'm used to hearing. He also sounds like he means what he sings. Uuuugggghhhh the BTS singers and rappers are just so good and making me feel the song and not just hear it. I was also surprised to find out how beautiful and unique the other members voices are. It took me a while to realize how nice V and Jin's voices are. Most of the reg BTS stuff doesn't show it off as much as their stuff on SoundCloud does.
JK has great vocal range. He’s really great at his craft as an artist. I could listen to him sing all day.

Stomach,jaw,head tones control ;) he does it and mastered it because he dance with most of all the songs too. It takes a lot of time to maintain your voice while moving.the more he (practice) do it the easier it gets to it ;) i heart him forever.

Could you at some point listen to a live performance of Jonghyun? He was an amazing singer but I would love to hear what you have to say about his voice. I'll give you a little bit of information on him just in case.
Jonghyun was a singer - songwriter, record producer, radio host, and author that was apart of a group called SHINee. Sadly last year his depression was to much to handle, so he passed away in December of 2017 at the age of 27 (28 in Korean years I believe). SM recently released his last solo album, Poet|Artist. Many were close to this amazing man.
If you want to learn more about him use good old Google because I don't know if I can give any more info.

from what I've noticed when jungkook sings songs like these, he really puts himself into that song. like he feels and becomes that song and sings it from his heart. hse like really into it like he's singing something thats really personal to him. similiar to his solo son begin, like thats his story his song therefore he knows what emotion goes into each line and i feel he does that pretty well with cover songs as well, he can make it his own and add in his own emotions. definitely someone should ask him how he puts so much emotion into his singing when he gets on vlive again
