Hey he is batman, i mean if iron man could have a bullet proof suit why can't he. I mean if he is a billionare and he goes around beating up criminals and he has a very good IQ he should have thought of developing a suit that would be capable of doing all this shit. I mean think about it he has time to put a utility belt but he forgot to make the suit durable, that doesn't make any sense. So all in all it was good his suit could reflect these things, i mean he has to do this for a long time and if he gets injured now, who is gonna take his place.
To be honest, I don't think most of these criticisms are well founded. (SPOILERS) Batman Armor: I think this is fine, sure, it seems a bit excessive but it is also shown in the film that he isn't invincible in the third act. Plus, given Bruce's multi-academic past, he would have become one hell of an engineer. The Highway Pile-up: This was intentional, it's one of the main focuses of the film. Batman is not the symbol of hope we know him to be, he's a self absorbed, mentally ill, 6 foot tall Bat dude that runs around beating up low level criminals because he gets some satisfaction out of it (Due to PTSD). His disregard for those peoples' lives just shows the fact that he's empowered by nothing but pure rage and vengeance as opposed to actually wanting to be a force for good. Alfred: I actually agree with this one but it's most likely to set up Alfred in the sequel where I'm calling he kills Penguin with a shotgun. The Subway Cave: What? This was such a great creative decision. Anyway, personal preferences aside, remember that this is year 2 Batman; not the established hero (I'm seeing a theme with this in most people's criticisms like with Bruce and Batman being too similar) so he doesn't have his Batcave, it just wouldn't make sense for this world. Plus it also helps to distinguish from the Nolanverse. Bruce's Careless attitude: Like I said before, this was intentional and Batman's final monologue after the flooding directly tells the audience his motivations.

His armor being that strong and being able to get hit by the bullets he did just reminded me more of the game. It was like he had a life bar. From the hand to hand combat to the way he maneuvered from opponent to opponent and putting them out of commission were on spot with the game.
Anyone else felt this as a component of Denis Villeneuve syndrome. From the chrome yellow colours to a dark moody protagonist and painfully slow world building. Add a number of classic film influences as a subtext and you get a masterpiece.
The Batcave complaint doesn't hold weight. This Batman is set up as a young version that is still getting his footing, only being around for 2 years, so the mild Batcave makes sense and shows that his character still hasn't fully become the hero we know and love. The point about Bruce Wayne being not as caring and more vengeful also speaks to this point of in experience. This Batman is in a very dark mindset, and he's far from perfect. This movie I think shows his progression of caring more about making the criminal pay to caring more about saving the civilian by the end of the movie.
Almost every “worst” in this video has a explanation that makes is actually a good thing about the movie this movie is a masterpiece the only flaws it has are nit pickers trying to fish for flaws
This is what pisses me off. Even the best DC movies get complaints about the smallest flaws. And then, you have Marvel movies which are praised soo much. Batman was better than literally every Marvel movie.
The reason he’s not really caring towards civilians in the movie is because he states “I’m vengeance” there for it is told that in the very start of the film he is punishing the guilty not helping the innocent. Then we see at the end of the film that he says that and I quote “vengeance won’t change the past ,mine or anyone else’s, I have to become more. People need hope, to know that someone is out there for them” there for showing that his purpose of being batman has switched from, being “vengeance” punishing the guilty, to “giving the people hope”. The entire film is about his transition from being driven by his own motives to helping the people of Gotham. So I think that him not caring for civilians and not thinking anything of them is a really good thing for the movie as it shows his earlier years of being batman as his own motives and that is what this batman was for. And I know for the rest of the Matt reeves trilogy he will and deeper insight into what “being hope” entails.
why batman wait in the car till penguin get the car and drive it ? why didn't batman directly catch penguin without harming lot of buildings by driving his batmobile.
@@theoaks1941 i gotta disagree. The relationship was clearly a loving one but they were in conflict so what you guys felt is actual strain due to them caring about each other. 1. Bruce felt betrayed by Alfred with the truth abou this father being hidden. 2. Alfred wants Bruce to stop do more of his legacy Wayne shit than risking his life. Plus no one takes into account that doing what batman does leaves him obsessed and drained and he has an emotional wall up to every one. to his new love interest and to his father figure. its not that easy to pick up on because people expect each telling of this mythos to be like the ones that came before it.
After Batfleck being a seasoned crimefighter, having a Batman who has only been doing it for a few years was the right move and the horror and political elements in the film really helped give it weight imo
This is the best best man that we’ve had in a while. A lot of the back story I like especially Batman and Catwoman. just showing them at a younger age can also show the evolution of the relationship if she stays in the franchise I just think this is a very good movie to set up the rest of the Batman franchise.
The way Batman beats the leader of that painted face crew's ass in front of his mans and 'nem in the subway at the beginning of the movie, was so funny to me. I was like, "Why tf is he fuckin' 'eem up like that?" Sure, he deserves it, but Matt Reeves certain of Batman is taking the violent vigilante thing to a whole new level. That's how an ass whooping is supposed to look when he's real. I appreciated that scene very much, because of how brutal it was. 😂😂😂
This batman was out of every media that we've been waiting to see! You felt right on the job with Batman. It's not perfect but neither was Spiderman NWH! This was amazing!
Many of the objections are answered by a single observation: Bruce Wayne isn't actually Batman until the final turn at the end of the movie. This is the last act of Batman's origin story. For most of the movie he is just Vengeance, and the whole movie is about him discovering that that isn't enough.
The thing that stands out about batman is that he has the best villains. That, and he is 'just' human, with no superpowers. I'd disagree. And I am glad this movie finally captures his real superpower, his mind as a detective.
Batmans armor was not magical. Bat.an trained his body and mind to withstand and work through pain. He developed a high pain tolerance thats why he recovered as quickly as he did.
This movie really potrayed Batman/Bruce Wayne in his most vulnerable and fragile moments his state of mind he was truly on edge yu can see it in his eyes the subtle trembles his facial expressions of pure depression but refuse to give in because the citizens of Gotham deserves a chance Matt Reeves set the standard 🎬🥇
The worst part of the movie? That one line where Selena is complaining about the “white privileged” powerful men who are the real power brokers in Gotham. That totally jerked me back to present day reality and out of the immersion in the story of the film.
Honestly have no clue why his armor and the highway "pile-up" are being bashed...His armor is not unrealistic, take iron man, for example, his suit is completely bulletproof but that isn't farfetched even though Iron man's suit was developed in 2008...Batman's also a billionaire so he can afford the most prestigious technology...Is a bulletproof suit really that farfetched lol? And as far as the highway chase scene is concerned...I'm no professional film analyzer but I thought that scene was tough as fuck...The changing camera angles on the cars, the fast-paced dodging and weaving of incoming traffic, the sexy ass engine noise coming from that muscle bat mobile, the slow walk of batman up to the penguin's car with the camera upside-down (like how a bat is upside-down), and who didn't love the slow-motion bat mobile jump out of the fiery explosion...One of my favorite scenes in the movie only topped by the phenomenal acting from the Riddler's meltdown in the jail after batman says they are not "teammates"...But yeah, the suit and car scene...both awesome, both silly things to criticize in my opinion.
My good lord, is this a review or a rant? People want everything to be in this movie despite complaining that the movie was 'too long'. For fuck's sake the movie is an introduction to a Batman who hasn't even matured, is reckless, careless and hasn't grown out of his trauma. For crying out loud Jeez
The only thing I didn't like was that very first kiss from Selina (just the first one, other is fine). The first one felt COMPLETELY out of nowhere. Just something that feels like would happen between people like this in a moment in a movie like this. Didn't feel earned at all. Just the first kiss I'm talking about.
I feel like we are missing the point of these movies. They’re based on comic book characters. The armor in comics is sometimes outlandish and the ability for Batman to withstand beatings is unreal. That’s the point. He is considered a superhero lol. Why criticize or critique as if it was supposed to be a movie about something realistic? Lol it was an awesome rendition of the Dark Batman a lot of us know and love
This movie sacrificed a lot to try to appear grounded and failed so bad. I was okay with a version more grounded than the Nolan trilogy, even though it's not necessary, but the interstate chase took me out of it. He just got shot and doesn't even have a bruise, Nobody ever aims for the face, his loud as fuck muscle car was parked next to the building he was staking out and nobody heard him arrive. Not to mention the straight laced gordan didn't call in the drug deal that would have imprisoned not only penguin but also revealed a dirty cop. Like if youre going to sacrifice fun and style for realism then stop taking me out of it with dumb stuff that wasn't thought through. The URL was probably the dumbest thing that made his detective skills seem like a joke. Even riddler seemed to be a very thought out and agreeable villain who went about doing the right thing the wrong way and then he just flies off the handle and decides to flood the city and hate Bruce Wayne for comically dumb reasons.
I agree, the armor being basically vibranium. It does take you out of it. Like if this movie is supposed to be set in a “realistic” setting. Batman was always meant to be good at disarming and evading. Even in the video games you couldn’t take so much gunfire without dying. This guy was basically a Superman/Batman.
I exited the video after the clown said The Batman had a lot of ups & downs. lmao The movie was a great movie and I wouldn't disagree with anyone calling it a master piece.
I watched the legend of Batman in the year 2039, i don't who is the guy who pretends to be a security in Arkham asylum, i remember my son's watched the batman in 2022 they told me they took the idea from that film 17 years ago, Batman in 2039 said I am nightmare, how things have changed in some years
**some spoilers here** My issues with the movie is the underwhelming character development of the penguin (why is he even in the movie???), the action scenes were ok, but not really that exciting, he got shot a million times, but not one bullet hit outside of his body armour? The twist ending wasn't foreshadowed at all, so we're forced to just accept it as viewers. Throwing in a key villain at the end just for fanboys and fangirls has always been a lame move.
Somebody tell me I’m not crazy!! I overall enjoyed the Batman this is not intended to be an insult. As the movie went on I had a real hard time seeing Pattinson as Bruce Wayne. Something about his gangly frame and awkwardness, he just seemed to be channeling actor Crispin Glover who most famously played GeorgeMcFly but especially his portrayal as the main character in Willard” and now that it’s in my head I can’t unsee it even if I watch a clip from twilight all I see is George McFly. Does anyone else see what I’m seeing or am I insane.
there are so many things the batman gets bashed for which are completely undeserved and enhance the movie when you realise it. batman in this movie is vengance incarnate, he hasnt been around long enough to realise his morals and limits, hence his more violent and sadistic nature and his nonchalant approach to civilian collateral, it completely makes sense that his regard for civilian safety is overshadowed by his need to exact vengance on criminals, he is still new to the game and hasnt realised that it isnt helping hence questioning himself at the beginning if what hes doing is working. the WHOLE PURPOSE of the movie is about batman finding himself, realizing that it doesnt just take scaring criminals and villains shitless to save gotham but also having to show the everyday people of gotham there is home and leading them to the light, hence the scene at the end in the stadium with the flair, leading the people to safety in the light.

i likes mostly becomes is like a kinda of fan hero of batman turning to a villain is amazing script amazing acting amazing pace of movie is perfect since starts to the end wanted more more more! thank you The Batman!
If you have HBO max it comes out in a month or two!
(SPOILERS)
Batman Armor: I think this is fine, sure, it seems a bit excessive but it is also shown in the film that he isn't invincible in the third act.
@@theoaks1941 well technically if I chased you in a car, and you sped away from me, and in the process you caused damage, how would that be your fault? You're trying to get away from someone chasing you (not the police).
This channel is so obsessed with creating negative videos about the batman movie🤦♀️
and it was so damn good....sad. Just like the people who are complaining saying "people are really dying in real life, so we shouldn't have this kind of movie." Look, if New York is really that bad (and other rioting places) look into the mirror and fix it, don't shit on my movie :P
its not obsession. its a technique to get people like you to complain and then get people like me to point out the origin of your complaints that all drive the vid up in the algorithm. saying how perfect this film was doesn't move the conversation as much as derision would. imagine this very movie with no debates in it lol
The bullets finally catch up to him at the end which distracts from the other shots. JUST DON’T get shot in your leather covered head. AMAZING MOVIE
the fights scenes were actually pretty real. When you fight 4-7 people you are gonna get a little beating no matter how good a fighter you are otherwise, it's just not realistic.
I agree. He’s outnumbered
All the criticisms of this movie are aspects that I enjoy about the movie.
Right! I thought the car chase scene was amazing
@@eggfriedreus793 best scene in the wholemovie
all the criticism are “it’s not like a marvel movie”
@@ForeverDakota1 literary said by no one
I guess people nowadays can't accept some criticism
Damn, you all literally told the whole movie 😂😂
I've already seen it thankfully but yes.... they literally told every major part.
We will get to see more of Robert Pattinson’s acting if he does a sequel. Millionaire/playboy Bruce Wayne.
Some of these criticisms are just way too nitpicky
IKR...no one can just enjoy anything anymore.... I mean, have you heard how many people complained about the walking dead's universe having cut grass....ohh the zombies on lawnmower memes..
its to drive up numbers so the more polarizing it is the better.
Two years…this felt most like 9 months into being Batman
Almost every “worst” in this video has a explanation that makes is actually a good thing about the movie this movie is a masterpiece the only flaws it has are nit pickers trying to fish for flaws
The Batsuit should be almost indestructible. In the Arrowverse, it can only be penetrated by Kryptonite so it's not like it doesn't have precedence.
its young batman though, that kinda stuff comes in time.
LETS MILK THIS SHIT - Looper
Duhhhh
How the car chase is the worst scene in the movie ? I think that the best scene in the movie
Yea, they're really stupid asf.
This is what pisses me off. Even the best DC movies get complaints about the smallest flaws. And then, you have Marvel movies which are praised soo much. Batman was better than literally every Marvel movie.
I agree but I liked no just this movie, The Dark Knight Trilogy and the Snyderverse movies. They felt like proper DC movies compared to the MCU.
Just saw it today, thought it was very well done! Looking forward to the sequel
The worst thing about the Batman was the entire movie the best thing about the Batman was when it ended
Yeah you're right the relationship between Bruce and Alfred is so awkward there are no emotional feeling in bruce
Is it just me or the riddle rlly look like zodiac killer...with few modifications??
The way Batman beats the leader of that painted face crew's ass in front of his mans and 'nem in the subway at the beginning of the movie, was so funny to me. I was like, "Why tf is he fuckin' 'eem up like that?" Sure, he deserves it, but Matt Reeves certain of Batman is taking the violent vigilante thing to a whole new level. That's how an ass whooping is supposed to look when he's real. I appreciated that scene very much, because of how brutal it was. 😂😂😂
If you ask me, it makes more sense for the Batcave to not be under Wayne’s house, because what if someone saw what direction his car was headed?
Where did that damn winged bat suit come from? Please someone tell me. Lol
How many of these are y’all gonna put out today?
This batman was out of every media that we've been waiting to see! You felt right on the job with Batman. It's not perfect but neither was Spiderman NWH! This was amazing!
Many of the objections are answered by a single observation: Bruce Wayne isn't actually Batman until the final turn at the end of the movie. This is the last act of Batman's origin story. For most of the movie he is just Vengeance, and the whole movie is about him discovering that that isn't enough.
The Riddler acting was built up well which supports the hero. Good director n actors
After the cafe scene I just couldn't take The Riddler serious. He was just cringy after that scene. Everything else was a 10 out of 10.
I like the armor . It is more like the Arkham Knight plus he is just starting out. Im sure his suit will change through out the series.
It was the movie we needed, not the one we deserved
The thing that stands out about batman is that he has the best villains. That, and he is 'just' human, with no superpowers. I'd disagree. And I am glad this movie finally captures his real superpower, his mind as a detective.
The Bat Cave we are used to seeing was borne in the ridiculous movie serial of 1949... I liked the "new" Bat Cave
The whole point of Batman being carelessness is for change. That makes the movie even better
This video honestly shows that these guys and those who are a fan are nothing more than MCU lovers.
I rather trust people who like this movie.
MCU fans always bitching DC 🤡🤡🤡
the sound of batmobile when the first appearance like screaming bat
The Riddler with his mask on looks like one of the minions LOL
The buzz about The Batman is absolutely not "full of downs". WTF?
My good lord, is this a review or a rant? People want everything to be in this movie despite complaining that the movie was 'too long'. For fuck's sake the movie is an introduction to a Batman who hasn't even matured, is reckless, careless and hasn't grown out of his trauma. For crying out loud Jeez
Overwhelming negative video on a remarkable and throughly enjoyable movie.
The game changing movie for DC
The only thing I didn't like was that very first kiss from Selina (just the first one, other is fine). The first one felt COMPLETELY out of nowhere. Just something that feels like would happen between people like this in a moment in a movie like this. Didn't feel earned at all. Just the first kiss I'm talking about.
the villans in batman did not watch endgame and take thanos' advice to "aim for the head" 🙃
See I don't see the problem with carelessness he is only in year 2 and learning like he did at the end of film
Sorry, I slept in the theatre.
There are no flaws to this movie.
The plot was a little overstuffed and action was missing a lot but other than that
Cat woman and Bruce relationship is terrible
@@thatkidkreme7877 not really, it’s supposed to be like that, but I wish the relationship with Alfred and Batman was more relationship-ish
@@GentlemanSkelli no they push their ship down our throats. It looked unnatural
@@thatkidkreme7877 well, everyone has an opinion at the end of the day, and I respect yours
Sounds like Looper is nitpicking and trying to come up with negatives to this Masterpiece.. Shame on you Looper 😒
I exited the video after the clown said The Batman had a lot of ups & downs. lmao The movie was a great movie and I wouldn't disagree with anyone calling it a master piece.
Well he does say “I’m vengeance”...
why no one unmasked him when batman fainted ?
I love Marvel Movies, but this Batman movie was by far the best comic book movie I've seen. Great movie!
It's adamantium plus beskar. Oops wrong world eh.
this is how you do super hero movies....not the banging and clashing and chaotic cartoony mess that have been released over the past 10 years
I watched the legend of Batman in the year 2039, i don't who is the guy who pretends to be a security in Arkham asylum, i remember my son's watched the batman in 2022 they told me they took the idea from that film 17 years ago, Batman in 2039 said I am nightmare, how things have changed in some years
**some spoilers here** My issues with the movie is the underwhelming character development of the penguin (why is he even in the movie???), the action scenes were ok, but not really that exciting, he got shot a million times, but not one bullet hit outside of his body armour? The twist ending wasn't foreshadowed at all, so we're forced to just accept it as viewers. Throwing in a key villain at the end just for fanboys and fangirls has always been a lame move.
The armor is because hes young asf, he needs the extra protection.
6:42 Alfred for me all ways felt like batman man in the the chair, Alfred could have gotten bettered helped batman form the bat-cave, in the final part of the movie
...yall gotta understand the characters of Batman's world to get this movie...nah u don't even need to know anything to see that the "worst parts" aren't valid complaints
It seems to me that you were nit-picking too much. Besides the plot armor and the chase scene "plot hole" the others are extremely subjective.
Some really good points but where's the clarity in the review with the title like you're asking for from the movie. Best vs Worst would be better with clear queues in the audio instead of what comes across as "click bait" fixed by markers. The film does similar effects.
Also yes best best best performance of Catwoman by far and hoping for a solo film or similar soon;
The way I worded this film to a friend was
Jason but he’s a good guy
I really don’t feel it. At one point, it felt like a guy was wearing costume while walking round in the city.
His armor isn’t real enough? Dead ass? Bro do you even know who his villains are? Fuck they’re all not realistic at all😂😂
Lol did the reviewer actually understand the movie? I don't think so. The "worst" parts were intentional and part of the arc of the character. Jesus.
People who keep complaining about Bruce's character hasn't spent a lot of time around rich "know it all" assholes. He portrays it perfectly.
The batcave issue, its still year 2 batman for godsake. Critics usually can only critics like as if they can do better job lol
Surprisingly good
In my opinion The Riddler in this movie was just as obnoxious as Lex Luther in BVS.
Maybe the batcave will be relocated due to it maybe becoming flooded
