If you could put that smile in a bottle and sell it, you would be a millionaire.
Yes she would that smIle could light up all of Nebraska
You don’t need energy drinks if you watch Laura’s and grants vids the enthusiasm and smiles energise you enough !
I used to farm south of Aurora, hit 114 deg. while I was driving our old tractor. No cab, no umbrella sunup to sunset, I was so sunburned. 1000 acres with 4 row equipment, lot of trips across the fields.
When I was a kid in the early 80s, family still ran an IH 56 4 row shoe planter over nearly 1000ac. Uncles bought a Case-IH 900 4 row plate planter in '89, pulled behind an 856..... pushed probably 1400ac. Ran 3 disks and 2 do-alls for tillage, but insisted on a 4 row planter because it could fit through all the old creek crossings.
The best part of waking up, is waking up to Laura Farms.
TRUTH!
Nothing starts out a day like hearing Laura say "Goooooood Mooooorning!" with her bright sunny smiling face and voice!
You got the thing fixed and kept going for the day.
Owning up to your mistakes is a good thing.
Love the honesty when you mess up! That’s so welcome and refreshing
Not many people can own their mistakes.
I like to mess up so bad there is no denying it. 😂
Brief moment of 6 year old Laura running through the sprinkler and squealing with joy... How can you not feel better about your day after that!
Grant makes his own lunch, .....Laura gets lunch delivered.
I'm impressed by the younger generation farming, too many family farms go to waste here in North Carolina
Seeing what life is like on such an expansive farm is worth every minute watching.
Pro tip, I used to fix groundscare/golf machines for a living, take the shrouds off have a proper look thru your radiators with a torch, sooo often I’ve been to overheating machines cos the rads are blocked behind the shrouds, or they never get fully blown out.
There is an old engineers saying. When in doubt, hit it. Another saying is this. A hammer fixes everything that duct tape won't.
To be honest my dad use to yell at me why you always hitting shit with a hammer lol cus it works after or it's really brittle an it'll break an then you know it needs replaced lol but hitting stuff dose help/ work most the time.
Duct Tape/or, find the hammer !!! 👍
@@ronniewilliz153 My teacher in engineering class would hand me either a spanner or a hammer. (Spanner =wrench). Upon taking them, he would ask which one would work best? I wou8ld put them both down and use my brain and then hit it with a hammer.
Stupid youtube comments 2021 be like:
@@miku-lazoshan2182 They are only stupid if you fail to have the intellect to understand them.
So pleased you understand the basic principles of 'percussive maintenance.' Great video. Thanks.
There is ALWAYS something to be learned from an LF video. The fact that it's also entertaining is a fantastic bonus.
This is more tractors and farm things I’ve seen all year. I really get my farm perspective on this channel. All in minutes.
Nice to see some Kexchoklad!! I hope you can do i Vlog on the swedish candy so we swedish fans her what you think about it!! Love from (Eslöv Skåne Sverige) Sweden!!
when working on a farm, ur the one person i want to be with, u have an uplifting personality and keeps people not getting tired
What a million dollar smile! Great work fixing the pivot. What a handy young lady, ypur parents must be proud.
Thanks for letting us ride along in the buddy seat! Great video!
Just glad the buddy seat isn't 106 degrees here at my house
Nice to see that someone sent you some nice Swedish kexchoklad. It is very common snacks here in Sweden and our kids loves them.
Very fun video Laura! Thanks for being real when it comes to mishaps and mistakes that happen in farming. That's one of the greatest parts of your channel. No glossing over it, just here it is, the life of a couple of farmers! Hope you, Grant, and your family has a successful and safe week. Stay hydrated!
Laura has such a great smile and watching these videos has given me answers to several questions that I had about farming / cultivating and the machinery that goes with it. Farm girls, gotta love them.
Hi there!
Still running way behind on your videos...
Wanna give all you guys a shoutout for bringing al this positive energy with the videos.
Keep it up!
Greetings from sunny Holland
Necessity is the mother of invention, if the fix works it's not wrong.
It's crazy how cold it gets in Nebraska in the winter and how hot it gets in the summer. 90 is hot in VA and 40 is cold in VA. I met some people in Richmond that moved here from Nebraska and they said they were escaping the cold lol.
"Every tool has a hammer end" heard it first on South Main Auto.
Great channel, wonderful fun and farming too.
It's fine. I love it when you take us out. Great working with you. Let me know what you find on the over heating.
we use pipe from one end of the field from a big ditch, small 2" curved pipe that goes over the band of the ditch down each row
What a lot of fun you are. Thanks.
This is literally the only wholesome Southerner UA-cam channel I love! Keep up the great work, cowgirl!
With that heat Laura it was nice to ride in the cab with you. My appreciation for farmers just keeps growing n growing with your education. See you soon.
Good choice on the all-purpose tool, it can be used as a hammer pry bar and of course a multiple size wrench
Chinese nut rounders make great multi tools.
Those temps are wild. I never thought that part of the country got that hot. I guess the saving grace is you don’t have the humidity of the south.
Higher humidity is easier on the crops though
Hilarious - I was actually eating Kex choklad when Grant showed it. Fascinating. Yes, you are correct in what it says. Kex simply is the wafer and choklad is chocolate as you suspected
I really enjoy your videos, and have learned so many things I never knew! We live in the country and have a small garden (1100 SF). I've finally got some of it planted (uncooperative weather, and tiller needed repair), and squash and cucumbers are up! Yay!
We moved here from San Diego in 1993. We were excited to have so much space for a large garden. A farmer we met at the church came over to see what we were doing. He stood and looked at our garden, then put his arm around my shoulders, rocked back on his heels and said, "Well, I can see you're not a farmer!" LOL!!! We never did find out what he meant. But he became a dear friend, and helped us a lot over the years. Sadly, he's gone now. We miss him much.
God bless this woman.
You do not need to get crazy shots......Laura we love just hanging with you. In the tractor is where it all started......All good.
Great job Laura, it so nice to watch you and Grant.
Having new material on each daily morning segment...you'll own this category.
I love so much you're videos, they teach me a lot about farming
Thanks for the video
Your fan clutch could be slipping or weak, if it has one. I had a 6410 that would slowly heat up, finally figured it out and replaced it, then no more problems
In MN here the last like 3 to 4 weeks has been 100 degrees +, hardly any rain killed just about everything, until today it's finally in the mid 60s still no good rain but at least the heat is down finally.
Good morning to you Laura . It's at my state right now. 8.40 pm . I check to see if any New videos of you and your family. And Mr. Brent . Love you guys 💘
Didn’t have a cab or guidance when I was cultivating as a kid, late 70s we got our 1st 2 Case tractors with cabs. Now all of our equipment has cabs w/ AC + gps guidance.
We had overheating issues with one of our JD’s, ended up being a combo of dirt in the rad + a bad fan clutch - fan was just mostly freewheeling and not really pulling much air through the radiator which caused it to plug w/ dirt since the airflow was so low.
Enjoy your videos so much and really enjoy riding with you in your tractors
106. One of the reasons I bailed out on the US and moved to Spain is the weather extremes. My old bones can't take the heat and humidity anymore.
I hear many old people say they can't take the cold weather and feel cold even in 90F heat....I could handle the heat when I was younger but not anymore. I can handle the cold way better than the heat now.
Great video, awesome job fixing hiller !!
More videos like this Laura!! Really enjoyed it!!
Oh this is sooo nice and comforting
Keep up the awesome work that you all are doing at the farm and nice tractors
I'm new to the channel so I have not seen this until now. So yes Grant, we speak swedish here in Sweden and I fully agree with you that the KEX Choklad is an awesome snack. I'm gonna think what other type of snacks you should try from Sweden. But don't worry, I'm not gonna send you Surströmming which you might have seen other youtubers try. They all eat it completely wrong.
Good job Laura. You didn't stay under the pivot long enough to get cooled off. You could have a water pump beginning to fail on your overheating tractor. Stay safe. It is good to see Grant getting to put in his days worth of content.
Another Productive Day With Very Hot Conditions! Great Work! And Great Repair On The Equipment!! 😀👍👊
Go o glad kexchoklad! 😂 that’s how we say it in Sweden 🇸🇪 and it’s like if you would say “sweet and happy kittykatti” so it rimes 😊
Top kek 😋 Skål
Stay 💪 Ms Laura! Enjoy every vid!
Very good video thanks for your time to do the video
You make farming look fun. You are extremely entertaining.
corn looks beautiful.. great vid
I like your videos, your outfits and last but not the least your smile... keep farming with your beautiful smile....
Always great to see grant as well
Multi-talented young lady why did you break it girl? Your mom makes a great lunch, great video;-)
Every tool`s a hammer, tremendous, good job. keepsmilin.
Hello Laura, very nice job on the repair.
Very nice presentation.Corn plant is very beautiful.I watched it with pleasure, you are very beautiful and sympathetic.Greetings from Turkey
Stay awesome Laura
Very resourceful repair job.
Awesome update. 👍
Love Grant's laid back style! Might need to use a water spray system on the tractor's radiator if it continues to over heat. Good thing Laura didn't overheat though. After all, Laura has to keep her cool!
Laura sometimes all a good mechanic needs is a big hammer and if that doesn’t fix it get a bigger one 🇺🇸👍
If that does not work get yourself a grinder, and as last option a torch :P
It’s all very precise
Very very infectious smile!!!
Just like Reba McEntire smile!
@@adewey33 way better than Reba for my money, I would have to wake up everyday if I had Reba and say, SING SOMETHING FOR CRYIN OUT LOUD, and with Laura it would be just smile and I can die a happy man...😇
@@rayakers006 Yes. She has the exact same smile as Reba. She is more entertaining with that smile! Lol!
Awesome video no matter what you do Laura ❤️
Welcome back Laura.
Wonderful eye brows Natural beauty fueled by outdoor country living
bless you girl
FYI: You and Grant are putting out the best content bar none! That's a fact Jack! Thanks so much for all your effort in providing quality educational content. I learn something new in every video. Well done! 👍👍🙏🌹
I think you should call that little square Laura's SANDBOX. You just go there every day and have lunch and play in the sand/Soil. We never saw that!!!!
Ohhh man Kex looks so good!!!!
Hi laura hilling and ridge are diffrent words but you can use either one is correct for the term use in farming ridging or hilling👍
Luv the video way to hot for me. When I was in high school I worked for a farmer we used the old style cultivator and no cab. Those were the hot dirty days. Enjoy your videos and keep smiling
HEY MISS LAURA, LONG TIME NO SEE😂😂 also, the damaged 🌽 corn...
Can't see it from my house.... So0o0o it never happened🤔🤔
another awesome video from Laura's farm🚜🚜 take care, from Vermont🌻🌻
So, in other words the operator is supposed to be watching all aspects of what operation is being done Laura!!! Lol
Another great video, I bet that sprinkler felt great. It seem like you get 1,000 new subscribers a week . ( you go girl)
Hehehe I knew what that pile of stalks and roots were was as soon as I saw it! :D :D :D
When something fixes itself take credit for it Laura. That doesn’t happen very often.
I suspect the O rings simply swelled in the heat and made a better seal. When they cool, the hydraulic fluid is going to fertilize the ground.
@@JareddarArt Probably right. I’ve tried ignoring problems but rarely does that make them go away for any length of time. Then I have to listen to “your fix didn’t last very long!”
@@leebarnhart831 Or worse, "I thought you fixed that." Endlessly repeated until a professional does it.
That is a perfect wrench and it did the job.
Thats a FINE lunch Grant, specially the KoolAid pouches:)
Goodmorning. Glad that you will be in the AC. Be sure and keep an eye on the temperature gage on the tractor. Keep farming. How many acres do you farm
Your Lunch!!! JAJAJAJA so funy!!
The smile is back 😃
103 degree temp and 103 humidity HOT !
Alright Laura.......Glad the 3 point came back for you!!!!!
Just a tip for overheating.
Use a ½" air hose necked down to a ⅜" fitting and blow the dirt out of the radiator, intercooler and condenser. Start by blowing it opposite to the fan flow but do it both ways until its clean. Dont get to close and bend fins over.
Has to be air. Water wont do it.
Even on your grain trucks.
Open the hood and stand right in line with the engine fan, have someone bump the idle up to 1500rpm and then turn on the fan. If it blows your hat off the radiator is clogged. If it blows air on the engine its clear. It blows straight off the fan tips when it cant draw air through the radiator.
I've had so many trucks come to the shop saying they are overheating on the slightest grade and want new thermostats. They are amazed when I blow 10lbs of dirt and grime out of the it and send them on their way.
PS wear a mask because you will be amazed at what comes out.
We call that a cultivator and the coulters drop down to keep dirt from covering up the plants after they first come up if you do a field twice.
I passed through your area on my way to Hastings Wednesday. Thursday was spent in Minden, temp hit 106^!
Laura and Grant: Thanks for sharing yours lives on the farm, it is amazing to watch these videos.
Great video!
You go girl because you can do it
Glad your here
I just saw one of your videos a couple of days and enjoyed it so much, I have been binge watching since. That smile and those eyes are a treasure!!!
