The idea that Laura and the tassel guy are both on instagram at the same time in the middle of a giant field in rural Nebraska is still wonderful to us oldies. Carry on the good work
Laura. When you yawned at the end of this video, you caused me to yawn. I yawned so loud with my mouth open so much I'm amazed the atmosphere around me never fell in my mouth. I always love your videos.
Each video that I watch gives me a much deeper appreciation of the massive amount of work it takes to run a farm. I think the best part is watching and learning from some awesome people! 👍❤️
I dunno, the way she says goodmorning coupled with the clear blue sky; the vast green fields; a young brunette in a white t shirt; the grain; the machinery, everything combined is just major LIFEfuel
There's definitely some chemical and aesthetic synergy going with her, isn't there? She exudes the positivity and optimism I think we all wish we had. She's doing what she loves and she loves what she's doing.
I grew up on farm and ranch. Work never stops! You guys are such hard workers. So I just appreciate your hard work when I eat corn, steak etc. I really miss that life!
Laura, I'm Brad from Portland,Oregon. I'm sooo very glad I found your videos on UA-cam. They are very informative, and entertaining. Thank you for sharing them. They are certainly worth the time to watch. I've never seen anyone on UA-cam who takes the time to explain the process and procedures so well. You are a rock star! Thank you so very much, and have a great day 😄👍
Yeah! for mentioning the kids who sometimes do detassling. I was one of those, a very long time ago. I'd really like to see a video on how that is done now. It was a small but thankless part of the seed corn production in Indiana - and it's the kind of thing most America don't know anything about related to where our food comes from. Thanks for all of your lessons.
Life is Good - I love how you throw a kiss to all your fans … you have opened my eyes and mind to how much work goes into providing food to all of us - thank you 😎
Hey Grant, follow your dream, GET YOUR PILOTS LICENSE. You work hard, so do something you'll love and is challenging. It'll keep your brain alive and Laura will love it.
@@scottsoper my uncle who worked for Caterpillar owned one. His wife who also worked for Caterpillar, made more money than him and bought it for his birthday. Must be nice? Those are the #1 mainstay for general aviation for sure. A real reliable workhorse. That uncle also owned a skid steer. While cleaning up a slope 5 years ago he had flipped it over upside down into his pond and drowned in it because the door was pinned shut by the mud. I hate that those things have only one way in and out and it's in the front. If one flips something over in the bucket or drops a large enough object in between the bucket and door it can easily trap one inside. I have had to rescue one of my fellow workers who got trapped inside this way when a big tree log rolled over in the bucket and fell/rolled in between it and the door. No matter how he moved the bucket up and down or rocked the machine around it was pinned against the windshield and door and the still attached stubby limbs held it in place. There is no way to kick the glass out or the side windows because those are covered with heavy protective screens. I know I'm rambling, but was reminded of this because he's the only one in my family who was a pilot and owned his own plane.
You’re doing awesome Little Sister keep working hard and every thing you do brings new skills confidence that has clearly grown tremendously since I started watching your Channel! You are a wonderful inspiration for Young Women like my Daughter who is like you amazing and strong and you show her she can’t be stopped if she truly decides to do anything! I’m thankful to you for that my Daughter is growing in confidence from your example! God Bless you! ❤️🙏🏼🇺🇸
First time I watched you you were destroying "male" corn and I thought you enjoyed it to much😂 then you got married and I was scared for Grant😝 take care stay safe!
That's what I thought too when I had first seen Laura flexing her arm muscles on the title pic of that video, which is the first Laura Farms video that I had ever watched (High-powered destruction of all males).. I was reluctant to click on it, expected a woke male bashing PC video, but not only where my suspicions incorrect, I have been a regular viewer and subscriber to her channel ever since! She was making a clever play on words and this crazy woke culture. Not only is Laura adorable and smart, she's quite clever too!
I think Tassel guy was simply being a bit facetious when he say "stop filming me". You know...like entertainers in the film industry out in public..."oh stop it...stop film little ole me" - when they are the biggest attention whores of all time.
I picked up on something Grant said, he was so excited about the spray plane. I've been a pilot since a senior in high school and flying has been a truly grate thing in my life. So, flying is basic concepts and lots of little details. I have no doubt that he could learn to fly, getting a Private Pilot's license then followed by a Commercial rating that allows a pilot to get paid to fly. So if he likes it that much I would encourage him to find a local flight instructor and go for an introduction flight and talk it over with the instructor. I'm sure he would make a great pilot.
@@scottsoper Hey Scott, I just wanted to encourage Grant if he was that excited about flying. I was a kid flying RC and never thought that it would be possible to become a pilot. A mentor of sorts suggested that as a possibility and my father and I were headed to the nearest flight school, literally the next day. So, I didn't want an opportunity to get by without saying something. Thanks
I used to hand detassle outside of Grand Island for Peterson Farms back in the late 70s. Good experience for a kid. Walking those long wet corn rows was a lot of work. Ironically my wife and I live in Aurora Colorado now.
HELLO0O0O0O0 THERE Miss Nebraska lady🌾 Hey Laura, what you do today?? Why Pete. I gave the 🌽 corn a haircut😂😂 another awesome video from miss Laura👍 🌽 🌽 🌽 🌽 🌽 🌽
Good explanation. Sterile corn because I was trying to figure out why the tassels were being cut so low. On fertile we would cut the tip off of the tassels and come back in a couple days with mechanical pullers before sending the clean up crews in to get any short ones.
Hey Grant # 2, I forgot to congratulate you on having done such a fabulous job of cleaning up "The Shop" I remember what a mess it was in a previous video so I know you worked hard to get it so clean. I enjoy seeing your sections of the videos just as much as Laura's, she's got you beat with the smile (but yours is pretty good) and expressions but I know she'd need a little help in getting that pivate (?) turned right side up. Stay safe!!!
That's one huge lawn mower. 😮 Laura, if your radio have a 3,5mm jack you can get a bluetooth transmitter for it so you can use bluetooth earbuds when you're working in noisy environments.
I love the way you people keep yourself happy with the work
I love working becuz that makes me live in only one world
Your smile is beaming enough to light up all of Nebraska!

Well said - I love Laura’s “good mornings” 😎

I am glad to see you keeping up with your school.
Still loving you all videos.. big shout out to you and your husband!! Thanks for sharing the farm life with us.
The amount of equipment you folks have is amazing.
Awesome air show Grant
Your "Good morning" openers are nice, and welcoming

Grant = solid work ethic, which rewards the farm and family with nice life/toys. Good on you mate! There is a lesson to be learned

Nice work everyone for getting pivot unstuck, flipping pivot back up on the wheels and Grant Your Shop Looks Great Cleaned Up!! 😀👍👊

Always a new learning day... thx Laura
Great video Laura
Grant... If you love the idea of flying, go learn it! Get your pilots license! I have every confidence you can do it!
Grant can likely afford to learn and get his license. The hard part is being able to afford to buy, own and maintain a plane.
@@joefudd And take the time out to do it. Dude seems mega busy all the time
That is so cool that he let you ride in the cutter! But then, who could possibly turn down THE Laura Farms when she asks?
Its her smile.
Thank you again & have a great day
You are a wonderful son Grant!!!! I hope you get all you ever dreamed of!!🙂🚜🏍🛩
the most enjoyable personality on youtube.
Unbelievable that only you and your father are running this whole farm. Same with Grant and his father. I tip my hat to you.
There's a lot of money doing corn
@@bay9876 how much?

Well in this video it seemed they hired an external to remove the tassels, and some of the kids help out occasionally too I believe.
Good Job both of you on your Pivots!!!!!!!!
Shop looks good Grant!!!!!
Great job starting the pivots Laura
Always so good to see the progress on the fields glad to see grant

Jared loved every second with Laura!
So who else wants to see Laura do a video riding in the spray plane?
That ending was sooo satisfying just watching corn swing back and forth in the wind.
I'm awed at the strength needed for the front axles, king pins, etc. to handle duals!
I grew up in Iowa in the 70s. Part job for most kids was pulling tassels. Tough work in that hot sun for sure.

I promise. Your efforts are not wasted,
I enjoy seeing the planes fly over fertilizing the fields.
Laura, Darling you are awesome. You kill it every time.
Great videos👌 Love farming 😍 From Srilanka 🇱🇰
Good luck standing your pivot back up Grant
Tassel guy: Stop filming me!
Laura: sure. Can you please give me a ride in your cab and let me film a little?
Tassel guy: Uhhhh, ok.
US: lmfao!
LOL! Just what I was thinking! He could not resist Laura's smile and gave in!
