Larry David and Richard Lewis are already my favorite combo. The Office & More on Patreon! Click here: www.patreon.com/jamesvscinema Have a great day y'all!
My sister used to work in a luxury car dealership and one day, there was a guy there who looked about as scruffy as Larry did- unshaved, sweatpants, old t-shirt, the salespeople did think he was a homeless guy just hanging out in the showroom. When someone went to approach him though, they saw that it was Bill fucking Murray!
Pretty, pretty, pretty good choice of material and a great idea to watch the series in the right order, you won't be disappointed. You'll see a lot of familiar faces and ex-Seinfeld supporting cast as you go along. The blind guy - who played the head of accounting (Laforge) at the Yankees on Seinfeld - is making an hilarious comeback later in the series. The 1-hour pilot (not S1E1) has Cheryl as a brunette and yes: by 2001 Larry David and Richard Lewis had been friends for 40 years. Contrary to popular belief there's little improv, but a lot of editing. Can't wait to see your reaction to ''The doll'' in season 2, that one is a Curb classic.
Larry CAN'T win. Ever. Them's the rules. Devil's advocate here: If he didn't talk as much, people would still suspect he's up to no good, hates them, etc.
The football game he's watching is footage from the USFL, which was in operation from 1983-85. Such footage has been used in many movies and TV shows because the cost to use it is minuscule compared to using stuff from the NFL.
James! I’d bet you got a comment on your patreon already from someone explaining Richard Lewis’ ‘Ratso Rizzo’ reference. That’s a nickname of a character in Midnight Cowboy, an incredible and iconic early American new wave film. Love this show, happy you are watching it!
I understand what you're saying, but there is a reason there is no viable alternative. It's extremely expensive to own and host. Plus, any alternative would inevitably have to follow the same rules in order to have advertisers. Without advertisers 99% of people who upload to UA-cam wouldn't be able to profit or make a living from it. There is a reason every UA-camr follows the guidelines, because they don't want to get demonetized. They could easily curse and say those words if they don't want to run ads. So an alternative wouldn't change much. Either no creator would go there because it wouldn't allow them to make money. Or whatever alternative would basically turn into another UA-cam in order to have advertisers. Because there are websites that allow you to say or do pretty much whatever, but they aren't relevant because no one uploads there. It's a free platform, the only way it stays running is with advertisers. So though you're allowed to think its ridiculous, unless you want UA-cam to turn into another Netflix or Hulu type streaming service, this is the best you're going to get. And if it really bothers you MOST channels have a patreon to get uncensored content. It's not perfect, but its the best you're viably going to get.
The extra funny thing about this show is that in almost every episode he’s fighting with somebody over money. LS is worth $1 billion in real life and he’s playing himself in the show. Just something to remember. As I get older, I definitely feel like I’m turning into Larry, David, 100%. Stick with the show for all of the seasons they are all funny even if you don’t post them on UA-cam.
The character is my favorite part about it. The fact that the protagonist and antagonist are the same person. Larry is the biggest neurotic a-hole in the show. Five times more easily than every Seinfeld character combined and it is hilarious to which him screw himself over and over. And back then this was not a typical lead character for a syndicated show so it really brings something fresh to the table. Add how unassuming this show is. They aren't bs'ing their audience. His shiz stinks. Here have a whiff, see? I love stuff like that and again especially if it managed it in that era. Partly of course because in the streaming media era now insincerity is so common place it's revolting and bluntness is a turn on as a result.

Have a great day y'all!
so many of the best scenes from this show are larry and lewis going back and forth about the most inconsequential shit😂😂
Episode eight, "The Typo" will have you rolling on the floor, with Larry taking shit for something that wasn't his fault.😂
Beloved Aunt
They indeed have been friends for eons 😂 RIP Richard Lewis
I can’t wait to see your reaction when you find out who plays Cheryl’s sister!
Richard Lewis, R.I.P. Such a funny guy.
One of the smartest funniest shows ever made Enjoy the ride
Watching James react to this series will be a treat! A highly addictive series! 🤣

If you were to see his birth certificate, it would indeed confirm that Fucking is Bill Murray's middle name.
Oh yeah, they were lifelong besties. Larry cried when Richard died.
Can’t wait for Funkhauser to show up lol
Wuhu more Curb 😀 Had to stop another video, and watch this right away
This is the only country that tipping is optional….most countries don’t accept tipping in restaurants
It's "optional" but the social pressure makes it essentially mandatory

Larry NEVER knows when to shut up 😂

this is one of the funniest episodes!!! that cut to Richard all sweaty 😂😂😂
Loving it. And we're only four episodes in!

Larry David and Richard Lewis were childhood friends, in fact they were born in the same hospital in New York six months apart.
Can't wait for the last episode of first season. That one made me fall out of my couch laughing 🤣
Thank you, James! 😆

I saw the comment!! Hahaha that’s awesome honestly
OMG you should see Ricahrd in the last season of Curb...omg so old...
UA-cam needs a credible alternative. They are way past ridiculous

Still waiting on you to get to season 6 episode 1 "Meet the Blacks" You're gonna love that one. lol
