    This is what Doug Brignole does he puts too much time into finding the numbers of the limbs, loads, etc… but it doesn’t really equate to the torque

    Love the video content. The sound quality isn’t the best so that makes it harder to follow

    Don't the moment arms get smaller at the very bottom of a squat though? Hips approach the foot and knees approach the chest.

    Great video! I have a question. Should the moment arm of an exercise be directly proportional to the force of the exercise? For example the squat. As you go lower it becomes harder because of the force and simultaneously the moment arm increases as well. Should force and moment arm be directly proportional to one another? Thank you!

      Not the Coach but I didn't quite get you. The force remains constant, the moment arm is the only variable during the rep which brings about the changes in torque.

    Whenever I squat I feel it more in my glutes any tips on how to make them more quad dominant?

      What is the angle of your tibia at the bottom of your squat?

    • @thehumanpractice2985
      @thehumanpractice2985 Рік тому

      For me the trick to feel it more in the quads... was to correctly brace, activate the core keep it tight, pull your ribs down, pull your head and shoulders to the hip through engaging and tucking the lats... try that like 5 times before squatting. When you are goinf to squat, do those cues and imagine a lever from youe glutes to the kneds, and this lever flexes and brings your glutes down.... activate your toes!!you should feel it from glutes to knees, yes you will feel your knee and it might be scary, and you will feel your toes griping the ground. To get up imagine the lever straightening, same motion: glutes pulling the knee straight. Feel your toes.

      You are probably more hip dominant and/or lean forward too much (low bar?). You can try elevating your heels and/or try front squats or any other machine if yoyr goal is solely quad hypertrophy.

    Idk what are u talking about. I do ATG and 90° squats I'm able to lift more weight doing 90° than ATG and if I just did ATG I would be able to lift more than someone just doing 90° squats if I did 90° and i never have done 90°. To me this is a nonsense.

    • @98danielray

      that sounds regarded. also, 90 degrees is almost at the biggest torque, as you can see just by looking
