We were hit by a blizzard followed by 4 days straight of 40mph winds out of the east. Everybody tucked in and went on the hook for a few days. They even kept the Soo Locks open an extra couple of days to accommodate everyone once the winds died down. Thank you!
Kevin, another FANTASTIC video production. You should have a weekly show on PBS. You are a dIrector, producer, videographer, sound coordinator and narrator! Well done....again.
That's so Crazy, "The Eagle Has Landed". You had me cracking up because as I watched you doing the countdown I was saying it myself; Paralleling the actual landing by Neil Armstrong on Tranquility Base, flying it down on fumes. The production values, content, narration, video; soundscore, geez all of it...there has to be an award out there for you. PBS would be well advised to create a series for you; "Behind the Door" with Kevin O'Donnell. Seriously. Your talent , dedication, and love for the Door, its inland seas and the great giants that roam them is beyond parallel. It's A lot of time and work to put together such a beautiful short film as I like to think yours are; so thank you. God bless.
Beautiful as usual. My heart was pounding as you counted down that battery. So glad you didn’t loose it. We sure are tethered to batteries in our lives.
Hey Kevin. Man your last two videos have been stressful for you....and for me. I'm so glad your drone made it back safely. It was sure close! I was thinking it was going to land on the ice. Interesting learning about Big Walt's collision at Superior. Glad she was put back in service. Oh, and if you look very closely starting at 2:21, you can see the crewmen are wearing spikes on the bottom of their shoes. Much needed on glare ice!
Thank you, Kevin, for a wonderful video! Nice to see so many footers in S.B. this winter, especially my favorite, though not a footer, the AMERICAN MARINER. Do you know why Interlake didn't put a couple of their smaller boats in S.B., or even the Great Lakes Fleet? N
Great aerial shots! It’s interesting to see how much of the deck gets iced over… something we don’t normally get to see from land. If the drone had landed on the ice, would you have attempted to recover it?
I did. I had set my lower limit to 25% and a return altitude of 180 feet AGL. But once it gets below 10% it can't be overridden and force its own landing.
No one does it better Kevin. Thank you so much.
Thank you for such wonderful and majestic videos!!!!
Glad you like them!
Another great video. You were So Lucky that the drone made it back. I had to chuckle when it landed in the disabled parking area, what a perfect spot.
I chuckled too.
Thanks!
With this warm weather the Ladies stayed out a little longer than usual great footage Kevin

Amen to that. I second the motion.

So close!
Your videos are awesome and I find them so relaxing too.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing all the ships as I was unable to make up this year. Maybe we will say hi in passing when they all leave in a couple months.
Excellent cinematography as usual 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing footage as usual!
The drone flying back was tense! So close to the waters edge 😂
Love your videos 👍🏻
Nice thank you for these videos
Amazing video. I always love these. Thanks. I'd love to go out there someday. Take care. Stay healthy.
Every video you put out Kevin is amazing!
Fantastic!
Many thanks!

Welcome back!
Great video!
Wow! Incredible!
Breathtaking video as always...

Well done! A bit of drama there!
Great Video😊
Thanks for the visit

Some big winds that week. "if the drone had landed on the ice, would you have attempted to recover it?" Oh! Hell no! LOL
Great Video
Great video again! What drone do you use?
DJI Mavic Air 2. But I'm soon upgrading to the Air 3.
@@KODOPhoto cool, quality is superb! Love the aerial shots, glad it didn’t go down in the drink!
Wow! If there is better drone footage out there, I've never seen it. 👍👍
Nice video and great commentary. But how do you keep VLOS??
I attach strobe lights. Visible for 3 miles.
Very cool! (No pun intended)
With my DJI I just cancel the auto land and keep it flying back to me.
