Step 1.)
Download NoahBoard from:
github.com/Tho...
Download the latest NoahBoard.zip, currently:
*NohBoard-ReWrite-v1.3.0.zip*
Extract this .zip into a folder.
Step 2.)
Download the "Keyboards" folder/zip from my Dropbox:

Extract this .zip into a folder.
Step 3.)
Within the "Keyboards" folder from the *DROPBOX DOWNLOAD*
Copy the "Input Overlay" folder.
Within the "Keyboards" folder from the *GITHUB DOWNLOAD*
Paste the copied "Input Overlay" folder inside.
Step 4.)
If you've moved the "Input Overlay" folder while the application was open:
Close and re-open NoahBoard from the *GITHUB DOWNLOAD*
Right Click inside the NoahBoard window/overlay:
- Click "Load Keyboard"
- Select the "Category" dropdown
- Select "Input Overlay"
- Select "Input overlay style" from the "Keyboard Style"

Just a quick note: You can do Chroma Key filter because it automatically removes background to make it transparent.

+1 Thanks for a link to the program and a good looking keyboard. (and the quick OBS filter guide). However:
1 You should be using styles instead of images (like the joao7yt keyboard does) so that keys can more easily be added (such as arrow keys)
2 Since only the "Input Overlay" folder is being downloaded the others don't need to be in drop box (just the images and layout subfolders)
3 Name the keyboard something like "Comically Bad" instead of "Input Overlay"

Thanks for the video. Everything works like a charm out of the box, except when I press down on the mouse wheel. That does not register. It shows the wheel scrolling fine.
I was playing with other sliders in color correction and found that 2 settings down where is says color multiply you can choose any color for the framing of the keyboard and mouse if you dont want white. though it does change the color selection in the hue shift slider to beware of that. thank you for this it looks cool

ComicallyBad, when I tried to open Noah Board the window was just blue and that's it, I'm almost certain I followed the steps perfectly.
If you open it and the windows blue, you have to right click in the window to load the keyboard

don't know if you're still responding to these, but I have attempted downloading the file, extracted it and ran the file, but it simply creates a small blue box and nothing else, it's quite odd and I am not sure how to fix it, if you have any idea's, they would be much appreciated
You may just have to right click in the window and load a keyboard. That may fix it

hey bro whenever i click on a letter or rightclick my mouse, it's just a white square instead of actually showing a yellow input also instead of using streamlabs i used OBS and it only shows i clicked a key when the tab is active. How do i fix this?

FOR NOW; I do not know if this will fix the few crashes some people have, but please try this new method, listed both here, and within the description:

After this, if you are still crashing, I'd need more information to help you.
If you get an error message, include that.
If you don't get an error message:
Open the start menu, then search and open: "Event Viewer,"
Under "Windows logs" -> "Applications" you should now open NoahBoard, and see a new red "!" Error or maybe a yellow "!" warning.
Clicking on that can provide much further/needed information as to what caused the crash.
If you can provide that, then I can most likely assist you further.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to copy the Overlay folder over to the keyboards folder. I have literally been trying for hours now lol.
@@sophiebennion5300 If you download the folder from the drop box, extract it, you just can click on the "Input Overlay" folder and click copy, and then inside the Noahboard's "Keyboards" folder, right click and paste into there.
I love the aesthetic of the overlay you use, but there isn't enough of the keyboard on there. I use everything out to the "U", "J", and "M" keys and I'm looking for a clean way to display that on stream without covering the whole screen. Got any recommendations?

If you go into an application the window vanishes behind the application, and there is no "always on top" option????
I believe running it as administrator fixes this. Some applications do this for some reason, others don't.
unless you are trying to see the app on top of your game, it's not meant for that

Hi, If you have other streaming services like obs, can you please make a tutorial for obs studios. I will download streamlabs for now.
should be the exact same process. Add a window capture, select the NoahBoard.exe window, then it may not have chroma key, but there's probably a color key filter, you would use that to remove the black background
im pretty sure i did everything in the loading process fine but it says "object referance not set to an instance of an object"
for some reason my NohBoard stops picking up button presses when there is a game over the NohBoard window. trying to use it on stream and it wont work, someone help plz!!
try running it as Administrator and see if that fixes it

Anyone know why this does not work when I have VALORANT open it does not register the key presses on the app
some games for some reason cover the overlay and make the keys unviewable. If you have a second monitor, you can have the overlay open on that screen and it should show fine.

That’s strange, I wonder if some games anti cheat prevent it from working (idk why it would)

yo i dont want to use it much for recording like obs or stream labs just clips for medal and i kind of just want to see a keyboard overlay on my screen at all time but when i tab into a game the keyboard overlay just gos away and i cant see it anymore until i tab back out of the game there any way i could just make to where i can always see it at all times
yes, it's an overlay for streaming/recording. It doesn't actually overlay in game

anyway i can get this keyboard overlay the same except with a caps lock key added on? i actually usually use caps lock for "map" in games.
Mine works for the most part but when I toggle into my siege game it stops working.
This is perfect! The only problem I have is every time I reboot Nohboard, it doens't save my placements of everything. Any solutions?
Any idea why my in game DPI is being lowered when I have both OBS and Nohboard running? If i close one or the other it goes back to normal but both at the same time are either limiting or lowering my speed for some reason. Only happens when both are open, OBS doesn't even have to be capturing the display of Nohboard.
That’s a new one, I haven’t heard of that issue before. If you open the game is it normal until you open NoahBoard? I’m not sure why or how it would change DPI
@@MrComicallyBad yeah it’s normal even with the game and just nohboard open. It’s normal with just the game and OBS open. Only when nohboard, OBS, and the game (cod mw3) are all running at the same time (even before being connected as an obs display capture) I notice my mouse dpi or in-game sense is about 25% lower when I do a full spin/camera rotation - same distance/speed each time. If i close out of either one the game feels normal again.
It's really good but i need to delete and re-download it again when i'm shutting off my laptop, at first download, a keyboard will show up like the one in yours but when i restarted my laptop, it changes to blue with no keyboard in it
You may need to just right click and Load Keyboard again if it changes to all blue. If you are running this from within the zip, that could be why. NoahBoard will generate a save file for your configuration. If you run this inside of the zip, you may not save this file, or if this file is getting deleted, that can cause that.
So everything here works perfectly fine, but I have a couple problems. 1. when pressing keys while NohBoard is not tabbed in, the pressed keys simply don't register on the input display on obs. no options or configurations seem to fix this. and 2. for the life of me I can't figure out how to save custom keyboard configurations. I've outright replaced the files associated with the original configurations and it still defaults to the unchanged config.
I just managed to get this working with my custom layout of the keys in the same style. You need to place your custom save in "\keyboards\Input Overlay", so for example you could have your files in "\keyboards\Input Overlay\mycustomlayout". Make sure you save both definition and style. It loads it as default when you start up the program again.
You cannot have the program minimized, it needs to be "open" in the background behind other windows that you use.
These buttons in the overlay are just pictures that change whenever you press a specific button. It has not all buttons as images so you cannot just add whichever key you might want to show.
Is it possible to make the keys a solid color, but still keep the transparent background for OBS?

Hey man! I just wanna ask if you can just choose a specific key to show in streamlabs? And will the keys customizable like you can put picture of a skill in the left click (example) and be labeled with "mouse1" for example. Thank you for the feedback!
You could always crop a single key from the overlay. But other customization you’ll have to edit the overlay files, which I’m not entirely sure how to customize
i tried this but if you try to record on game it does nothing overlay display but no movement of keys, pls show us proof on game recordings.
I use it on every livestream and gameplay video. Some games that open on top of the overlay will hide the app from updating the keys. So sometimes it needs to be visible on another monitor, or at least about all windows except for the game.
