Sim racing takes practice just like anything else. BeamNG in particular has a learning curb and also try cockpit and crank that FOV view you’ll be surprised how much your muscle memory will change how you drive
Map creator here on personal account - I agree it’s hard to tell where to go, the competition version of the mod (also on repo) and all future versions will have pace note support for the AI pacenotes mod :) Also if you want to watch someone go fast down the stages my proper YT (TrackBroseff) has quite a few quick runs of various stages
Nice mod you did there! Besides the pacenotes, the most important following feature would be to keep the state of the vehicule between stages to create rally events. Is this something you're planning on? Would it be easier to do since all stages are on the same map? Cheers
I would advise running a slow car - my favorite rally car in a dedicated rally game is Dirt Rally's 1960s Mini Cooper just for its ability to handle predictably and how forgiving it is. A mostly stock car might be the best bet, something like the Piccolino, Miramar, Diana, 200BX, 240BX, Grand Marshal, I-Series, or even a Covet or Pessima (make sure you bind the handbrake if you use a FWD car though) perhaps. Group B especially is a nightmare, and was one of the most dangerous rally categories in the real world. :)
5:07 BeamNG already has a minimap and a lot more, you just need to add it through the ui apps tabc visible on top after pressing escape in game, keep in mind that different modes have separate ui settings so you can enable extra apps only in time trials but leave them off in freeroam
if you want to get better at rally, start with front wheel drive cars, they force you to start drifts without you losing too much speed, which is how you want to learn for 4wd, rwd rewards understeer since you can easily correct it, so learn in fwd
i used to hate using my wheel too but they made beamng alot better now!! also pro tip if u turn down ur rotation to 540 its waaay more easy to handle on entry level wheels
11:11 Lore config for the bolide, indicated by the BeamNG icon next to the name. Also, do you make BeamMP videos? Protip: learn how to use a steering wheel and you will get better at any form of motor racing.
The vivace is definitely the closest to a modern WRC car (the default rally config sounds like one too) and those cars are insane, fast and controllable, nearly as fast as a group B car while having the ability to throw it around and have it do what you want
@@unepintade I believe (keyword believe) in a straight line they're not quite as fast, but have way more grip and controllability which makes them faster around a stage
@@nighpaw4651 straightline speed is only due to gear ratios, it's not really an important figure. Modern rally cars have far higher average speeds than gr B cars
@@unepintade I know it's not an important figure, that's why I said modern WRC cars are faster around a stage, also I was under the impression that group B cars had more horsepower, which obviously isn't everything for speed but either way I'm not sure now Edit: also modern cars have much better power curves which is part of the reason they're both faster and easier to control around corners
1K LIKES IS INSANE. I have a couple of videos queued up but be assured I WILL (regretfully) be making the steering wheel video 😭

dont forget to turn off all the steering assists :3
Play career mode with the wheel; I've been learning and having a blast with my T150 wheel!
Yay
I subscribed just for this

Can you drop in road signs until the pace notes are ready? Might be a quick fix
GET THIS VIDEO TO 1K LIKES!
I'm doing my part!

Yk I really like this you remind me of older fail race videos
Beamng has unlimited potential🔥

Dirt Rally was easily one of my favourite games! I will take this advice on my steering wheel run for sure 😎

use the pacenots mod so you can not fall off of cliffs all the time
I cant believe that this channel has only 2k subscribers. Should have 100k!
The best part of rally is the onlookers always jumping in and helping out drivers find the track again after a crash

8:23 its called a co-driver (hes not driving, idk why driver is inthe name.)
Because they co-drive the vehicle by helping to navigate the driver. Without the co-driver, the driver cant finish a stage in a reasonable time.
Rally getting so popular. I love it!
Amazing video! I hope you don't mind if I do a video on this too c:
Really good would be rally navigation too
6:36 nice try :P pun intended
7:35 stage 2
11:00 stage 3
13:32 stage 4
16:39 Final stage
Are there any plans to make a rally sim in Beam NG?. Is it possible to play a complete rally or a championship?
i used to hate using my wheel too but they made beamng alot better now!! also pro tip if u turn down ur rotation to 540 its waaay more easy to handle on entry level wheels
what wheel u using? i use a g29 with shifter and i love it🔥
After 0.33 update, they really have made a great improvements on steering wheel support, now you can almost drift like in assetto corsa too
this video was simple, yet i actually enjoyed. first time watchin you btw, dropped a sub as well. thanks for the 21 mins of enjoyment
So UNDERRATED
I am not that good at driving games....
*Picks up a Group B rally car*

Super good video man, keep making videos! Your very fun to listen to, you could just tell stories and play games and I would watch all day!
oml imma faint😍
Beamng has good soft body physics, but is it really good at simulating car behaviour on loose uneven surfaces like RBR does?
Haven't seen an enjoyable small content creator in a while, this is such a refreshing brake from all the MrBeast Style shouting, keep it up!

Idk how much you rally but pro tip... try to get comfortable with the handbrake

The people are trying 😳🤣
So it's safe to download mods off the repo again? I heard that lots of mods got infected with malware a few months ago
Im waiting for the steering wheel.
I did a whole series of cinematics from this map on my channel
I downloaded this mod but cant get the stages to load only the map loads without the stages
Any fix?
gg
got it but im not seeing all the stages..
What is your pc
how to install this mod .??? i have downloaded the files . but im not sure how to or where to extract these files
just install it like any other mod, if you dont know how to install any mod in general there's a lot of great tutorials out there.
watching you play is physically painful
Thanks for the love 🥰
its not new
A mini-map makes no sense for a rally game, my dude.
the council has decided for more suffering!
