Hi, I wake up at 430am, go to the gym, come home to get my kids ready for school, than 7am make my coffee and have my quiet time. Yes I agree the phone is a big distraction. The only social media I guess I have is youtube. I rid myself of all social media 7 years ago and never looked back. I'm so happy I did that. I know its hard for youtubers to do that. God Bless you and I enjoy all your videos.
Wow amazing! That's awesome you got rid of social media! I want to do away with it too someday. I grew up in the 90s and early 2000s so I definitely miss those days when people actually talked to each other and were not glued to their phones or distracted by all of this social media junk. God Bless!
My phone has also been a huge distraction for me. I get so upset with myself but still sink back to my phone. God's really been dealing with me with this. So crazy you would post this video
I appreciate what you had to say about not comparing my Bible reading journey with anyone else’s or not giving up because it’s hard. I’m convicted by this whole video. Thanks for sharing!
I am such a night owl...I seriously can stay up all night. The problem is then I wake up too late and I need a whole gallong of coffee to get through the day lol.
I wake up at 5am M-F. I read my morning devotional and chat with Jesus, then get up, make my bed, get into workout clothes, grab my bags and head to the gym. I workout for an hour and then head to work. During the first part of my workout, I listen to The Messy Masters podcast morning devotional. Then I have herbal tea after my workout.
Loved the video! I was out of work for 4 months, and I'd read a few Psalms and Proverbs in the morning, but do an actual study at night. I'm working now, so getting up at 6 to do it in the morning. I don't have a problem with scrolling when I should be studying, but I do have the limit screentime activated on my most-used apps. I use my phone to Google questions related to the study, so I put it on silent but keep it by the desk. A few tips/things that help me study: - have a designated spot that could be decorated to make you want to sit and study there. I have candles that I only burn when I'm studying the Bible - keep a notepad so if you're thinking of something else, you can write it down and move on - you can read through the Bible in a year by reading 4 chapters a day - you can read through Psalms and Proverbs in one month (with 31 days) if you read 5 Psalms and 1 Proverb a day - most importantly, don't beat yourself up for missing a day. It's not all or nothing. Pushing yourself to "make up" for missing a day only means you're reading twice the amount and absorbing half as much. Quality over quantity.
I own a bakery so I need to get there by 4:45 so I get up around 3:30 so I can have about an hour to bible study before I get ready. Early mornings and early to bed for me 😂❤️ thanks for sharing all your tips!
I so appreciate your suggestions because my phone and iPad are big distractions for me too. Another thing I'm working on is to write down on a cute small notepad next to me any thoughts that come up about things I have to do, calls to make, etc. that will loop in my mind and steal my attention. When quiet time is finished, I have a list so I didn't forget them and sometimes the list serves as my to-do list for the day. Thank you for your sincerity and great ideas. God bless you!
@@mymentorjane6705 I started this a while back too! I keep a pad of sticky notes next to my chair to write down things that pop in mind. I keep my phone across the room and rely on an analog clock on my table to tell me when to wrap things up.
Love what you said about making a start. Something that keeps coming back to me: "What are you doing today to become the person you want to be in the future?" If you want to be a strong, spiritual Christian in the future you have to make a start today!
I'm a mom of four little ones I wake up at 6:30. My goal is to try and wake up at 4:30 so I get more quiet time to myself before my children wake up. I like doing my scripture reading around my children then I read a Bible story and devotin to them. They enjoy doing that and we often have conversations about Bible stories and what their story in their devotion is teaching.
I try to go to bed around 10 or 10:30 depending on what time I pray at night and I wake up this might seem crazy but 5:45 am and I pray to the lord and listen to music Christian music and pray till 6:30 am
I go to bed at 8:30 ish most weekdays and wake up at 4:15. I go to the gym at 5 and work at 8. I usually have about 5-15 minutes for a quiet time each morning and I might have to start using a timer! I never really thought of that since I do use my phone during my quiet time for commentary.
What a precious dauther of Zion!!! thank you so much for all this precious video it is helping me a lot on how to be diligente in my quiet time and spend time with God
I try to get to bed by 9:30/ 10 pm and get up by 3:30 to 4:30 am. I don’t sleep more than 5 to 6 hours a day, which is why I try to get to bed and sleep by 10 am. God has been putting on my heart to get up this early to get some meaningful quiet time with Him before getting ready for work, and getting to work by 6:30/ 7 am. This helps me get my mind and attitude in order and face the day, whether good or bad. Thank you for your videos Ashley! You and you’re sister are a blessing. Because of you I love my art bibles and Inspired prayer Bibles, they are colored with color pencils and journaled in pen. I love opening it and reading what I wrote beforehand when I come across the passage(s) again. And yes coffee and tea in the morning is a must!!

This video was definitely for me. I put my busy schedule with school and work ahead of my relationship with Christ. I finally said no more and began attending church on Sundays and changed my work schedule around so I could attend women’s ministry at my church starting next Tuesday. This encouraged me to read the Bible although there are a lot I don’t understand. My husband is so knowledgeable, but has also been lukewarm. We are not new to the faith which makes us feel even worse about how we’ve put God aside and we’ve seen our marriage suffer for it. My phone is definitely my biggest distraction as well, and I need to try your tips. I know you said you didn’t know why you said what you said in this video, but I believe it was meant for me to hear. I’ve followed you for years, but always felt I wasn’t knowledgeable enough to follow or watch your videos. Boy was I so wrong. Thank you and God bless you! ❤️
Hi Kassie! Thank you so much for sharing. It was very encouraging for me to read. ❤️ I praise God that he is using me as His vessel!! I am praying for you!!!
I also just want you to know that it is through the power of Christ that we can change and become more like him. We have to partner with him and we need to have a desire to change, but Christ does the work within us and he will do the work within you! He is the author and perfector of our faith. He will perfect us!. It is so amazing that you have been taking steps to grow and your relationship with him. It will be worth it.
@@coffeeandbibletime Amen! I really want him to do the work within me and I know that requires me to take the right steps. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. I can’t wait to get to know Him more deeply.
I just read this and I want to encourage you to continue pursuing intimacy with Christ. I can speak from firsthand experience that your pursuit WILL influence your husband! I’ve been married 8.5 years and there was a very dark period in our marriage where I was going full force towards God and it felt like my husband (who was a believer when I met and married him) was pretty cool for the things of Jesus. Our work schedules were opposite and he worked on Sundays so I would constantly be by myself on Sunday mornings at church and it was so hard. But I kept going and kept digging into the Word. It took a while. And lots of tears. And so much prayer. But now my husband is back on fire for God and our marriage is stronger than ever. Never underestimate the power of a praying wife. I fully believe your husband will be on fire for God again!!
@@jordanalmond3458 Wow, thank you so much for sharing that wonderful testimony of that difficult period in your marriage. Amen! 🙏🏽 This gives me so much hope. I will continue my duty and be more in the word, go to Women’s Ministry and push more towards God in hopes he’ll be on fire as he used to. Thank you for this motivation and encouragement. God bless you and your marriage! Much love to you both 💕
This video is so on time! The past few weeks I've been really convicted about how my phone has been distracting me from my quiet time. I was hopeing ,in the back of my mind, that you guys would make a video, and they next day there it is! This video is just what I needed, thank you!
I used to have a terrible sleep schedule but I recently moved and we had to spend about a week without Wi-Fi and it really changed my habits. Now I go to bed at 8:00 and wake up at 6:00 ☺️ it also showed me just how much more calming it can be to simply read in silence or cloud watch from my living room then having music or tv constantly on.
Excellent advice to remove distractions! You are blessing to me this morning🌺 thank you for your honesty and showing many why distractions effects our time or lack of focus on God! You are so right! We who watch this are blessed for listening to your tips!
I usually wake up early around 6:30 to 7:30 and usually wash my face fix my coffee and do my quiet time I spend an hour maybe less I get lost in it :) Unless I have to be at work then I do my quiet time before bed time Love you guys
This channel has really inspired me to start a quiet time again! I do best with reading the Bible at night and try to make it a nightly routine. Thank you so much for this channel and the content that blesses so many!!! God Bless
Thanks Ash for your words of encouragement. I just very recently found your Chanel and you have been so helpful and supportive. Your teachings and kind words are very much appreciated. Just want to say thank you for all your wonderful Bible study videos.
- I have really been struggling to focus lately and this was really helpful, thank you Ashley!! 💙 I try to wake up between 6:45-7:45, but mainly try to make sure I get 8-10 hours of sleep :)
Thank you for your encouragement Ashley! I struggle because I'm on my own so I can get overwhelmed. When you're doing everything on your own, including taking care of a house, it can overtake everything else in your life. It also makes for easy and frequent distraction. I have to stop and regroup with some Bible study and prayer very frequently. That always brings things into perspective and helps me unwind too. This was really good to hear this evening!
The shots in this were AMAZING!!!! OH MY GOODNESS! I so wanted to pause after each little one to enjoy the aesthetic. God is so so good. Thanks for helping us to enjoy His beauty in EVERY which way! Love you!! Hugs! 😘🧡🔆🌻🤗🌄

I wake up at 4 during the week. Long 10 hour days and 5 days a week. A schedule has been the best thing for me. I prep everything the night before. I go to bed at 8. I am 48 years old and I definitely need the sleep! Lol

This video spoke to me so much. I’ve been struggling to read the Bible and about two days something almost just snapped and I WANTED to read the Bible! I started Psalms a few months back and two days ago picked back up on psalms 44. I just finished reading Psalms 61-67 today and psalms 64 was the one that stood out to me the most so I think it’s crazy that’s what you read! I honestly highlighted it and took a picture of it to keep this morning! Thank you so much for sharing what you shared, it helped a lot.

- you can read through the Bible in a year by reading 4 chapters a day

This video is just what I needed, thank you!
oh good!!! Praise God!!!!!
❤😊 to godbe the glory.😊
Thank you Ashley! The enemy definitely tries his best to get us distracted!
Thank you soo much for this! I often get discouraged because I feel like everyone is way ahead of me
I wake up @ 5am every morning ! ☺
Excellent advice to remove distractions! You are blessing to me this morning🌺 thank you for your honesty and showing many why distractions effects our time or lack of focus on God! You are so right! We who watch this are blessed for listening to your tips!
Sister! This was for me!!❤
THANK YOU SO MUCH!🥺🫂
God spoke to me through it!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes to all of this. The phone use creates fragmented experiences with everything. Thank you for this, I thought I was crazy for this same issue.
You are not crazy!!

You are so welcome and thank you for watching!
- I have really been struggling to focus lately and this was really helpful, thank you Ashley!! 💙
I try to wake up between 6:45-7:45, but mainly try to make sure I get 8-10 hours of sleep :)
getting 8+ hours of sleep is the best!!!
So encouraging!!! Thank you
Thank you for your encouragement Ashley!

Lol

We should start somewhere and keep going
Even if you don't understand something if you keep trying God will meet you half way and help you understand the Word💞💯
