Blue Origin's New Glenn Rocket Has Begun Pad Testing

- It seems each week we are receiving a new Blue Origin update from the company as they get closer to the maiden flight of New Glenn. Usually, they keep most information to themselves, however with the launch approaching, full-scale preparations tend to be much harder to hide and involve massive stages and infrastructure.

In spite of rooting for SpaceX, I gotta admit that New Glenn looks fabulous. I can’t wait to see more candles land!
Looks awesome.
Looks don't mean shit. They spent so much time, money and effort on making it pretty, but still not a single launch and they've been at this for almost a decade.
@@haydentravis3348spacex has not launched starship successfully either. Blue origin is actually making much better progress in the Artemis program than spacex
@@haydentravis3348 Why are you so upset? I understand they make absurd claims and try their best to stop SpaceX from getting, essentially, every contract but apart from that, they're doing their own thing. They're doing what Boeing and Lockheed have done before them. Which is being very secretive and doing the math to see if things will work. SpaceX is more just get something that works, blow it up, and improve upon it. It's more exciting and they're more open to the public about their launches which generates public interest
Fuck SpaceX. Only thing that matters is progress.
Dang, that's the most futuristic booster/base that I've ever seen!!
Yet, not as good as Starship!
@@richlo8887 yeah, it's not even remotely as good as the starship in anything, except the design.
@@neon_arch I was talking about the design only
Looks like a bunch of wasted money for something not even made to fly.
@@nextgen2424 Design means nothing if the rocket is a piece of 💩
I admit that it is a pretty rocket.
Sounds like they're just trying to look busy.
New Glenn 2024 🚀
2026
Get that damn thing in the air ALREADY!
yeah right... lol
“ get ready for a surprise!”
I can’t help but think of that redheaded woman in the big dress at the deboarding station in the movie “total recall” .
Nice looking hardware, hope they ace it first shot, give the x something to think over....
Lmfao 😂😂😂 good luck 😂😂
Think what? SpaceX has Starship.
@@badtrekee4348 Starship doesn't work though...
@@gracialonignasiver6302 YET.
Nice model rocket.
Finally. I hope they will be successful.
Im excited for new glen. Finally, another falcon 9 style reusable rocket.
New Glen... The year of our lord 3090
If the testing runs into any problems they definitely gonna sue the pad.
Cooler than falcon 9
WTF, are you serious???
@@HowDareUbuddy yes?
what you really just said a big rocket statue ( it has not left the ground) is cooler than a rocket going to orbit and coming back landing on its feet just to do the same thing again and again
@@limey9182 stop being silly, it's obvious what people mean when they point at a rocket and say it's cool.
Ya but u said it's cooler 😂 don't change ur words up blue origin has literally sued space x almost every 6 months then lost and copied what space x does blue origin is literally a chinese copy cat program lmfao😂😂😂
Yawn. When is the next Starship flight?....
This is like the shell game. Which one actually works? Keep your eyes on it..oh oh....where-dit-go!?😂
It’s the forbidden blowtorch 😂😂😂
Cool
Blue might make a successful flight before X yet ....
Might
wait until you see the falcon 9 lmfao and ift3 was almost a success since it went to (almost an) orbit, but didnt land
That's one big mother. So why isn't DoD trying to get one of these. Oh yeah non functional.
2035 …. First launch baby here we come !
So Blue Origin Actually Finishes Designing Something BEFORE They Build It. Go Figgya
😅😅😅
Gratitum Ferociter
4 months later...
crickets
Unfortunately, theres only ONE new glenn. Iterative building and learning is the proven way for success in a spacefaring society's future
Wow, that looks way too fancy and clean for a test article, how much money are they blowing on prettying these things up?
Lemme gues they sued space x so they can make a toy rocket
they sue spacex while copying spacex, they should be the ones sued imo
@@TacticalWalmartBag I saw a thing where Elon said they tried to Sue him like every 6 months or 6 weeks. I can't remember, but yeah. Blue origins should be sued for suing so much. And then that what they sue spacex for they copy ur 100 percent right lol
@@dillonbledsoe7680 I just looked up why they did it XD, from what I understand NASA chose SpaceX for their contracts and blue origin wanted a contract too but didn't get it so they sued SpaceX because NASA allegedly (unlawfully) gave SpaceX a contract but not blue origin which they found unfair
@@TacticalWalmartBag theor so silly lol they also sued for using drone boats they also sued for having a constellation also I saw in an interview blue origin is literally the little kid telling the teacher everything someone does trying to get them into trouble or some crap blue origin is gay as fuck lol
@@TacticalWalmartBag Nasa can choose whoever they want. Why bully NASA into picking them?
Uhh huhuh he said erector uh-huh Beavis " shut up butthead" 😁
Blue Origin is the Dollar Tree Space X.
Space x are some goons y’all done for
Yawns.
Show
I wonder if they can actually get to orbit. Doubt it
I'm no Blue Orgin fan, but I think its reasonabley likely they'll make it to orbit on their first try. 65% likely on first go. These same engines already got Vulcan to orbit and well have at least one more Vulcan launch before then. Probably more, though. I don't know what's on Vulcans schedule other than Dream Chaser before the end of the year. There's got to be other flights, though.
I'm not sure if it's public whether they're going for a landing of New Glenn. If they attempt a landing, I doubt it will be 100% successful but not impossible. Either way, I think it will likely deliver the payload to deployment.
Even if I'm on team SpaceX, I'd like a few healthy competitors to push SpaceX to continue innovating for years to come
@@garreth629 many a slip betwixt a cup and lip.
well elon also wants competition that push him to work better he said it, but at the same time he said blue origin is not one of them@@garreth629
@@garreth629 Idk how exactly New Glenn would be a competitor to SpaceX tbh. Falcon Heavy was left waiting for years because no one needed it. New Glenn is just kinda a slightly bigger Falcon Heavy. I just don't see the application tbh. Especially since Starship (although several years before it would be commercially viable) would offer much more payload for a much cheaper price
what a joke...
understatement if you consider that theyve been copying spacex since day one and havent even lifted off ground once
@@TacticalWalmartBag They hire ex SpaceX WORKERS
@@badtrekee4348 it's not gonna help them, SpaceX works as a team together with Elon. Alone they won't be able to keep up. Besides I'm not even sure if your statement is true
@@TacticalWalmartBag SpaceX demands a lot from their workers. 80 hour weeks and sometimes more. The ones that go to Blue Origin usually just want some free time. Which really goes to show which company works harder and is going to accomplish more
Do my eyes deceive or is this cgi again?
yeah, you need to get glasses
@@RocketPal Yeah you could try! It's easy to threaten people on the Internet!
