Those turned out really pretty Julie! For the dots i suggest a needle tip glue bottle (from amazon). It’s sooooo much easier. I add acrylic paint in it and thin it down with some floetrol and water (I actually use my Dutch pour white paint) and it works like a charm. I can dot all my dominoes in less than 10 min with that tool.
I have a video of it on my Instagram page if you’re curious to see how I did it.

Take a tip from dicemakers - use regular acrylic paint and a paintbrush for the lines/dots, slosh it on and then gently wipe the excess off the surface with tissue or a babywipe while it's still wet, leaving paint in the recesses.

You're right they are so much fun to make, I've made a couple of sets & I love them.
I bought the Lets Resin moulds from Amazon & so far haven't had a problem with them burning. The line is thicker on it too.
I found that using mica for the main colour prevented you being able to see through them but just to make them more fun I domed the back using lots of glitter.
I used regular acrylic paint for the dots & a smallish brush then just wiped the top with a baby wipe & all the excess came off.
I love the box, it's such a great size for them & would finish them off well if you were giving them as a gift.

Nice job! can I give a bit of advice, I made 15 sets of these for christmas, I got this mold and it drove me nuts, Igot a better one which was much easier to use (bear mountain designs LLC) has lots of molds and good solid ones for domino`s.. If you fill a good spray bottle with 90% alcohol, and spray your molds just before you pour your epoxy in, then doom your mold at the back so you don`t get that rigid ridge, then spray again with the alcohol (more than once if you have to, to remove more bubbles), it will take out most of your bubbles, no need to torch or use heat, if I do have to use heat, I use a blow dryer, those flimsy molds don`t take much to burn and then stick and get ruined, lol ask me how i know haha.. and I use mica colorants with glitter to make sure you can`t see through the backs..I also made very very bright glow in the dark ones also...

I made some with real dried flowers, in clear. Once dry, I covered the backs using a drop of white acrylic paint in the resin so you cannot see the dots when playing. I have little craft syringes that I used to fill the lines. I used paint with a hint of Floetrol. I used the dotting tool to fill the dots with just paint.
If the lines over filled, I simply used my finger and wiped it off.
I thought of making them dome, but thought they would not sit right.

They are gorgeous and would make great gifts for anyone who'd love to have a set. My only concern is that because they're see-through, they can be identified when flipped upside down. Someone who knows how to spot minute details can learn which domino has specific dots and take an unfair advantage during an actual game. Yes, the dots are covered by the gold leaf, but the patterns of the gold leaf are not identical. It's a shame because they're so freaking gorgeous!

I am so glad to see you do this video! I have a mold off Amazon & filled it today. Going to go get one of those tools you have though, before doing dots. I am going to try using resin. We'll see how I do. I thought about checking the dots to make sure they were all there but I decided not to. Now I wish I had. I get too excited! The mold I have is in 2 parts, half the bricks in each, & seems thicker & sturdier than yours looks. For bubbles, I use a heat gun on low very quickly at about 5" above, and do it a couple times, letting it cool between each. Then I mist with 91% alcohol. Sometimes I will do that twice also letting it evaporate between (hand fan it along if needed). I am also working with a resin I only have 15 minutes work time. I have to work fast & in smaller amounts. I have had some learning disasters. Been watching for a 2-1/2 years but just started pouring & resin 3 months ago. Been interesting! And I love to play dominos! My husband taught me with his grandfather's set. (They are very old & real ones.) Has a really cool wooden box for them (as old as the set). Oh, & you can't use clear if want to actually use them for play. The other guy can see what you have. 😉 Enjoyed the video! Thanks so much!

Black modeling paint hi gloss would be good. A toothpick or a sewing pin. Or a nail paint brush. I used to do tons of nail art. We would take a paint brush with a pointed brush tip at least 1/2" or 3/4" hair and trim it down to 1 or two hairs then we could draw fine lines. I have always been an artist but doing nail art was amazing and so much fun. I could do anything with a couple of brushes, a toothpick and paint.

If you're going to use the mold again, so it's not a complete waste. I was wondering, could you use a piping bag and a bit of thin resin to fill the dots and lines, or is that line too thin for even that? Love the suggestion someone made of using the fine tip bottles. I agree, maybe using like the gold pen she used in one of her other molds, putting the gold on the dots then the resin and some flakes :D

Very pretty! I would be concerned that with fairly clear dominos you could see the pips through the backs...

You can fix that domino where the doubt is missing from the four by just using a one and and three and just don’t color and the two dots on the outside just color the dock that’s right in the middle of the three and then that would make you a one and four. I love this video

I love your videos 😍 Big Fan! But even though there are some cheap-o molds out there, it’s kinda not fair to blame a mold for sticking when you are using a torch. Most mold makers say DON’T use a torch. Others comment on using alcohol spritz, or use a lighter. Long neck lighters are great for this.
Please don’t be upset with me for saying this, I REALLY LOVE YOUR WORK!!!

After you sand, does it take the shine off? I imagine it would if it were color. What would you suggest covering the sanded places with to bring the shine back? I use a dotting tool for the dots and acrylic paint. Then maybe a drop of varnish to seal the acrylic. I wonder if varnish lightly brushed would cover the dull spot caused by the sanding? These are beautiful!!
    Thanks!

I’m sure you found it by now but but your missed another pip got 2 3/4 the bottom should be a 3/5. Also the extra room at the top of the box with the 4 domino would be good to put a score pad and a pen in

There is a dominoes mold that is heat resistant that I purchased on Amazon if you have to use your blow torch. But you should spritz them with alcohol to get rid of the bubbles

How can you use them to play when you turn them over to select your Domino's you'll see what the numbers are through the domino

@@cynthiawilson8294 their not covered by the gold leaf, when she turned the 2 and blank over you could see the 2 on the other side lol..
Would have been better to put a thin layer of resin and gold mica on the back side of the domino

@@mrobson59 Maybe because it was her first domino experiment & she did say she would prep the gold leaf differently next time. Perhaps a quick spray of gold paint will solve the immediate issue.

I think you could take the dremmel and just hit it lightly to make the hole for the 4th dot.

They look great, although it would be better if you could have them be double sided. You did these in gold, but there's a few multi coloured metal flakes, with blues, purples, reds, and copper flakes, and I think they would make awesome looking domino's. They are called cosmic gilding flakes, in summer meadow, or gemstone coloured. I also would have put a bit more metal flakes in the domino's. But it was a good video 👍

Why don't you color the raised parts of the mold with a paint pen like you did with the flower coasters?
