@@JQ127-c4e Phil plays guitar about 300% better than Jeff ever dreamed... and even still is able to power through the lead vocals for a way longer show than Jeff ever did night after night (Jeff had Kelly sing the higher bits live because he was smart enough to know he could not handle the vocal strain) and all of these points - criticizing Phil is mostly moot since Jeff didn't tour for about 20 years while Phil was... @@magicroomstudios As far as what? Jeff Lynne is far more successful. That's the talent I want. Not the ability to be a copycat. The lead guitar part on Mr Blue Sky isn't some Eddie Van Halen type thing but it's genius.

I recognized the first as 'Tightrope' (maybe it was!) just before 'All Over The World' kicked in.

Not a chance. He can't even come close to Jeff. I've seen them both live and Jeff is at least 2 classes better!
