I've gotta jump in and stick up for my guy "Terminator Salvation". Yes there was no enemy variation, it was too short, it's checkpoints sucked. But the second that HK busts out and the "Terminator" theme kicks in. Sliding cover to cover tricking the machines weak points. The panic seeing a T-800 enter a room followed by another (and those guys REALLY wanted to terminate you). The beautiful lighting. It wasn't perfect, but sometimes, that's ok. As Angie said "Connor.. I have faith in you" Me too.
I think Atari should publish a remake/remaster of Terminator 3 and combine both ROTM and Redemption stages and gameplay concepts and it can be like Die Hard Trilogy with some T2: Arcade game elements. Teyon can develop the game and the title can be called Terminator 3: The Definitive Edition. Just mix stages such as when T-850 goes to the veterinarian and fights the TX from ROTM, and after this stage the next level is riding the motorcycle from Redemption and getting tot he truck and you have a choice to fight the TX on the roof. Another example is the cemetery police shootout from ROTM, make it a bonus stage and have it be like T2: Arcade game where you shoot at police cars and helicopters from ROTM. If you kill a cop, instead of mission failure, your points go low and you can be ranked: Evil. And after that scene, it switches to the Redemption stage where you drive the vehicle and escape the cemetery and the TX is on top of the vehicle. And on the future missions make the skies have that dark blue feel like the films and even change a bit of scenery with some different color variety so it won’t look the same every time. Improve the Termiantor fight scenes and have players pick up items similar to Redemption to attack enemies. And have more stage transitions similar to the bathroom scene from ROTM and add interactive weapons. The music is fine and it can also add some remixes or some songs from the movies for more variety. Add the multiplayer mode from War of the machines and improve that. Fix the difficulty level and add more lighting in the future stages. CGI and even the films scenes can still remain in the game from both ROTM and Redemption. I think if Atari and Teyon played both these games and try to take the best parts and improve everything else, it can be a better game. They could even add a fight mode where you can fight T-1000, TX, and Rev-9 for a vs mode or other characters from Sarah Connor chronicles. They can also look at their own success of Resistance, Midway’s T2: Arcade game, and Redemption. Future Shock and Skynet were also well received and can look at those for ideas. Dawn of fate can be remade and have a bonus level like Alien isolation where players play as Ripley and others in Alien (1979) last survivor and crew expendables dlc.
If anything Resistance is overrated as hell....Its Fallout Temu edition, its "better" than the Rambo game they made but its not hard to be better than the Rambo game. At best its like a 7/10 for some reason people love to pretend its like a 9/10. Its not bad but its nowhere near amazing
T2 Arcade was an on rail shooter in the original, arcade version too, with a heckin machine gun for controlls, it was amazing at he time. The gameboy version looks better than expected considering the hardware :)
I'm glad they kept the bloody mess bad guys in Robocop vs Terminator in PAL-land. Thought they might have censored it. My two fav Terminator games are The Terminator on Sega/Mega-CD and Terminator Resistance. I would say T2 The Arcade Game would be one of my favorites too, but I could never get past the pickup truck level. I've seen "The Resistance has failed. John Connor has perished.....try again" more times than I care to admit lol. Terminator 3 Redemption is definitely a better T3 game than that first person nonsense of a game for sure. If you can, check out The Terminator on Sega CD. The soundtrack slaps pretty hard. Cool, entertaining video!
Terminator Resistance, Terminator Skynet, Terminator Future Shock. In that order are my most favourite terminator games. Good games are also Robocop vs. Terminator , T2 the Arcade Game(Damn you Truck Level) and Terminator 1 on the Genesis
4:23 those are T-900, you can see the difference by comparing the endoskeletons from the other games with this and The Redemption 6:18 is the save your using was the one with cheats? I heard some cheats can causes some problems with the missions, including Arnold still wearing his Tech-Comm uniform in the present day I also find it odd why they decided to make T2 Arcade game for handheld consoles, the HK theme in the Sega port is my favorite because of the guitar riffs, hearing and mashing it up with the Amiga version does make the fight feel more intense 12:49 you just need to shoot The Terminator if it's blocking your way, I did lead The Terminator to the crusher without losing it's legs once 14:37 it reminds me of the Metal Gear Solid 1 artwork 19:14 well, most old games never has a save features nor a password to continue where you left off 24:54 *T-900 One of the stuffs I like in The Redemption was the battle damage feature they did with Arnold, in ROTM, Arnold will lose skin when losing health, but in The Redemption, he will lose only a bit of skin on the parts where he's getting hit, I almost managed to beat a level where he's almost skinless with the face remaining until one of the F/K Reapers shoted me in the face leaving me missing a half, the only thing I didn't like was the death screen, sure it was better than the ROTM one but it was missing a death animation because Arnold will still be standing like nothing happened after receiving the last shot, it would have been nice if they used the death animation improved, even the camera spins around crazy while in the helicopter parts after dying or failing the mission
That persona music 😍 and we really need is an rpg game heavily inspired by Terminator but also with inspiration inspired by other movies similar to it the same way Fallout’s direct inspirations are Mad Max and A Boy And His Dog. Imagine fallout if bombs never dropped and Mr house was still a thing but instead of securitron bodies they were shaped like Arnold and Robert P. And they were one of the main enemies types.
@@McjellGames Yeah, for me it’s that or salvation but the latest two are the worst. By the way, you really need to play terminator resistance. It is really good for terminator game.
Terminator Salvation was just alright. At least it has the Terminator theme song in battles. The lack of sprinting didn't bother me. RE4 and RE5 didn't have sprinting. 2 Terminator games you should review though. Terminator 2: Judgment Day on Sega Genesis. Not the Arcade game. You know that 2D T2 sidescroller you wanted? It exists.... and it's the worst game ever made. 😂 And there's Terminator on Sega CD which imo might beat Robocop vs Terminator.
The terminator on sega CD, RoboCop vs the terminator on Sega genesis ( sega mega drive in uk) and terminator 2 arcade shooter on segs genesis, terminator salvation on Xbox 360 , terminator resistance ps4 snd terminator resistance complete edition xbox series x are the best i played. see I got lucky with robocop vs terminator, got it before the retro game boom, got it complete with terminator and 5 other complete games and the megadrive itself for a tenner
What is the BEST TERMINATOR game?
The one you haven’t played yet
The Redemption, Dawn of Fate and Resistance
Besides Resistance it would be RoboCop Vs Terminator on Genesis.
