I watched pretty much all of this competition, and definitely think Mao outplayed the others, but I’m not the judge! Mao has so much ability, feeling, etc, watching his progression with much interest! Australia 🇦🇺
makake251120 From me Stefan Pauli: I like everything about his playing, great clarity, emotional, every note stands out, no blur whatsoever , extremely expressive and balanced. Could you explsin what you do not like!?
The Scarlatti Sonatas are surely too fast: sparkling but lacking expressiveness; there are some wonderful "discords" in the first one, which one hardly even notices at this speed. The Haydn, too, is "ordinary"; where is the lyricism in the second movement. His tone is generally thin (try the first Schumannn piece; shouldn't this be richer?). Predictably, perhaps, he is at his best in Chopin, but even here there is a lack of distinctiveness to his cantabile; it all sounds rather "schooled". Too much to ask of a 14-year-old? Listen to George Li at that age. And he seems to sit too high; he's constantly leaning forward.
ABSOLUMENT étonnant...d´une excellence parfaite..dévouement à l´Oeuvre dúne grande sincérité . Belle reussite Bravo Fujita...
