    Doesn't matter if you think he's the goat. As a basketball fan I respect that this man stepped into the league with more hype behind him than anybody in the history of sports and delivered for the next 20 years. At 18.
    Edit: With all due respect to soccer fans it's not the same. It's more common for a talented 18 year old to play soccer professionally, and be successful than doing the same in the NBA. The expectations extend far beyond the court in the US for one. Going against 2 billion dollar business interests, the NCAA, and the NBA to name another. The list is infinite.

      I completely agree with you on the bron front you’re also right about it not being the same between soccer and basketball. It’s way more impressive for the soccer guys to do what they do for a number of reasons. That being the truth does not at all take away from the absolutely ridiculously impressive career and achievements of lebron but just because you don’t like soccer doesn’t mean it’s less impressive.

    • @donavinrideout7841
      @donavinrideout7841 Рік тому +2

      @Hayden Nix Those reasons? Not the same. Amateur systems globally compared to the US is galaxies apart.Talented young soccer players are groomed to play professionally. Why you think we started sending pros to the Olympics.

You look at any other player, and there’s no comparison to the pressure he had to be great. Take Luka, Steph, Giannis, Joker for example all these guys can fail in their career and no one bats an eye. LeBron is so talented that NOT winning in the finals hurt him. Even though he made it with guys like Dellavadova, JR Smith, and Iglauskas being his 2nd option… yet the expectation is to beat the toughest teams of all time. That might be because he doesnt rate Kobe that highly. Its not the first time he's said Lebron is #2 behind. He's been consistent with that stance for years.
      And you cant say that SAS doesnt like Kobe, its well-known that they were friends.
      Maybe its your "Kobe is my favorite player so he must be the best ever" mindset that is the real problem.

    Bron gets respect
    Curry literally changed how the entire league plays the game and still is the best shooter currently top 5 handles and still doesn’t make the top 10 cut while having equal championships to Lebron in Less seasons.
    Kawhi is the Best Defensive player in the league. All they do is bash him for taking the time to keep his body in shape. He’s the guy Lebron hates to have guarding him because he’s good at it and still gets buckets.
    He’s physically closest to MJ of any player and gets slandered.
    Lebron gets credit by being in the discussion of the Mount Rushmore.
    The other 2 don’t and that without the disrespect while KOBE was alive which I can never forget or forgive. He gets hate but others have received more disrespect

      None of those guys have the same resume. The three guys you mentioned had one fewer combined regular-season MVP but one more combined finals MVP.
      Like it or not. MVPs carry way more weight than all-defense selections or DPOY.
      Along with the records, Lebron has the closest MVP cabinet Jordan and Kareem. That is why rated higher.

    Haters will hate, and MJ/Kobe/Kareem fans will present arguments as to why their respective GOATs are the real NBA 🐐… but there isn’s a single basketball player IN THE HISTORY OF THE NBA who has collectively done as much as lebron has for the game, current and ex-teammates, social justice, and player image. In his 20 year career, he has not only never had any personal controversy, but he has also demonstrated a near-perfect work-family-extracurricular balance. Imo, GOAT doesnt just mean “best” basketball player. GOAT means greatest of ALL time. It means that out of all the players who graced the NBA, this one individual is the greatest. Not just in terms of playing the game, but managing life in and outside basketball. To me,

In my eyes he will never be better than Michael Jordan nor Kobe Bryant, but he does means as much to the game of basketball as they did when they were playing. You also can make arguments for kobe and tim duncam over lebron. Because as complete players, 2-way player, defense way higher than lebron and offense on par.
