That was a very good explanation, i was thinking about that phrase in the back of my head "the chances that she gets the case is smaller because she already had it before", since these are two separate events, the chance is still the same, or actually greater because now there are less players. Well i wasnt sure cuz im not into probability and math at all, i actually find these things really difficult but i managed to understand what you said.
@@HeppeGaming this is like the litmus test of if someone understands probabilities or not. I was stuck on it for days before I gave up and convinced my brain I was wrong by doing a paper example 100 times
I thought this same thing, and was super confused because I came to the same realization as you. However, I saw a post about it on reddit that made me rewatch this segment of the video. They don't just shuffle the briefcases once at the beginning like I thought. They shuffle them at the beginning of EVERY round. So you can actually have an effect on whether or not you win, depending somewhat on your luck. If you have the money, somehow bait them into voting for you. If you don't have the money, you try and vote for someone who doesn't have it either, until you hopefully get the money randomly by shuffling in the next round. The game only falls apart when there's 2 contestants left, though. Then it truly makes no sense
Another way of thinking about it is one person is guaranteed to get the money in round 1, and that person is also guaranteed to make it to round 2. So, because everyone in round 2 has a 1/4 chance of getting the money, the person who got it in round 1 also has a 1/4 chance of getting it again.
i don't think the 2 player game is meaningless. Basically if you have the money you want to vote the same thing as your opponent, and if you don't, you want to vote the opposite.
3 players are in this game if person 1 have briefcase with money and vote for them self and other 2 people are 200 iq super genius they would vote for other person without the money then there's always a draw but no one ever told that person 1 (with money) can't vote for others for example person 2 and person 3 votes for each other and person 1 vote for one of them, then one person is eliminated in that situation there would be only 2 people in game and briefcases are mixed then both participants have 50% to win and no votes are required (for the reason you said in video) at least thats my opinion also i didn't watch full video and sorry for my english
They really tought this one aut in the studio
I think they wanted to do this one with a lot more players

Think of it this way:
the chances of Jaiden getting the case twice are 1/20,
the chances of ANYONE getting the case twice in a row are 1/4

He probably just wanted to choose the winner

It also doesn't make sense with 3 contestants. the person with the briefcase has a MASSIVE advantage

That's also a great explanation

4:39 I think he later said in his video that he purposefully lied to mislead other contestants
well, that backfired

Yea, I just said that the game with 3 players makes no sense and didn't overthink it like that
