I am inspired to use the Do Si Do pattern on my next pair of striped socks! My last pair was The Cozy Knitter advent socks, and I also added a color - Leading Men's "Toaster" color which came with the Knitty Natty colorway they featured in September. As for your sweater dilemma, I stopped buying yarn for sweaters ahead of time because I am always changing my mind about what exactly I want to knit, and I hate seeing the yarn sitting around.
Ooo - that will be so fun! I love Kay's pattern. I suggest going up a size if you decide to do the pattern on both the front and back of the leg as it does make it a little tighter (in my experience) Very true - I think I'll still make the Fairweather, just gotta get motivated!
Suggestion: actually show the item as you start talking about it. It is rather frustrating to not of a visual reference of the item while you are talking about it.
