These are so much help for a beginner at watercolors! I can read that say (these two colors make muddy colors) but until actually practice mixing them & % of how much using of each one (have chart) can go back to & see that these two do look nice for a cactus! Tyvm.
Thank you for the color mixing videos. This was super valuable. It gave me a sense of how I can make my own color reference book. Seeing the diversity of colors that can come when even just mixing two colors (like the first green and purple combo) and how you can make a variety of swatches just with each mix of two was validating somehow. Often when I see people’s mixing charts, it has the two colors mixed as if that just results in one color. There’s almost a rainbow that can come depending on how much of this one or that one you add and how diluted it is. The way you made a bunch of different combinations illustrating that was really clear and also it felt like I could just make each line in my own imaginary color reference book have lots of combinations of the two colors so that I can see more of the range of possibilities. Thank you so much for all of your teaching. I am very grateful.
If we want to learn how to prepare lovely colours we have to try. Thank you for the tips. Let´s do with the colours we have in our palettes and have fun!
Absolutely love your videos, best watercolor channel for me! Thank you so much! Will be so useful for my paintings of eucalyptus branches, I had such a hard time getting the right shade of green.
Thank you for this! I’ve been hoping you would do a color mixing video. I’d love to see another one like it - maybe with sap green or the way you make your peachy pinks. ❤️
Hi Emma 👋 thank you so much for taking the time to share such a very interesting tutorial I really enjoyed watching ......I didn't know just by mixing so many different colours with green that you can get so many lovely different shades of colour thank you all the best Lin in South Wales uk 👍🦋💞🐕
These are nice greens. The Canson paper looks like it holds the color well. Do you think it does? I'd like to use Canson 98 for envelopes and paint borders on them. The color of the Canson is very white compared to the Arches, which makes me wonder if it will look okay to have Canson envelopes with Arches greeting cards and gift tags.
You list a lot of color for your palette. It would be better if you let us know at the beginning of the video exactly which greens you would be playing around with and what colors you would be mixing. This was a bit unorganized.
