- During "Monza Historic" event, I was lucky enough to record this ultra rare Ferrari 312P Berlinetta. Only 3 exemplars of this car were built in 1969 to compete at the highest level of endurance racing! The 312P is powered by a 3.0 litre V12 engine that sounds absolutely amazing! So make sure you turn up the volume and enjoy the video!

The shifts are so smooth, it sounds like a symphony.
Nice to see this car on the track instead of in some rich guy garage or a museum
yes!
Even if it is some old, rich guy pussyfooting around - braking at 300 meters!
if You look carefully driver is near 80 y.o. and big like for him (y)
and he would still leave you for dead
Yeah, some rich guy who doesn't know a thing about the car and only has it for his ego
Fantastic! Those vintage Ferrari race cars have one of the best sounds ever!
I saw one at Goodwood FOS, it sounds SOOOOO GOOD !!!
What a car!!! And what a sound!!!!
You haven't posted in 6 months
The greatest automobile manufacturer in the world, Scuderia Ferrari
These machines are so insanely valuable it is miraculous that we can witness them on a track!
Imagine accelerating with this beast at mulsanne straight!!
Back when cars sounded good.
We've still got the Pagani Zondas ;) but yes a majority of today's cars sound no where near as good as the old ones, even some new V12s like the aventador... it just doesn't sound as exciting as this
this aint your regular daihatsu, it was probably more expensive then today's lambos back in the day
Mojo Risin wym??
Tom Fabri then get a bmw v10 or a f480
But the engine not RELIABLE
On a quiet night like the Porsche 917s these Ferrari 312s can be heard for miles- fantastic sound that gives you goose bumps.
1:47: the other 2 car's sounds literally disappears in front of this majestic V12. What a sound my god
Bellissimo! So low, so wide, so loud! Before aerodynamics changed motorsport forever, there were cars like this
You MUST hear the sound of this 1 of 3 1969 Ferrari 312P V12

yurixruz Eh si!
Outstanding beauty, when form and function still could get together joyned in a superbly balanced ideal of raw yet sublime harmony.
Thanks to Ferrari and Ing.Caliri...and thanks for sharing this footage.
This thing in 1969 would've been nuts, racing at night I couldn't imagine.
What a fantastic car Ferrari is and will always be my favourite brand thanks NM2255
0:43 anyone else notice his finger moves when the engine revs xD
+Keroy Gordon Hahahaha awesome. :D

Kenneth Moureau Thank you for watching!
The most beautiful Ferrari ever! :o I have a soft spot for the 330 P, epic video buddy! :)
***** Thanks, bud :)
You're welcome mate :)
+JA96 Nope, it's 250 Testarossa ;)
Awesome sound. If only F1 cars sounded like this today!
Even for it's age this car looks incredibly fast. That engine and gearbox mesh perfectly, what a car.
A sound to go with the looks love it!
Awesome video! Sounds amazing! Thank you for sharing!
Absolutely sensational :) thank you ✌️
That is the true Ferrari sound
Amazing sound! I think it's one of the best looking racing car ever!
EPIC, EPIC SOUND!
Best exhaust note ever! Truly amazing.
new dream car unlocked 😳
there is something about the up and down shifts from these classic stick shift manual cars that sounds so cool!!
Yes, I think it's the audible decrease in RPM when the clutch is pressed, which makes it sound so much more powerful when it shifts
I want this played at my funeral
There's nothing like a 12 cylinder! Epic! Thank you!
There is, inline 6.
@@Noh1996 Half the engine, half the fun.
i think this will be one of the most expensive cars ever sold someday! Beautiful... A real Ferrari.
I just woke up, and I already have to change my underwear😅
OMG thank you ❤️
Excellent video as always!
pcdocs12 Thanks!
What a beast, that sound, a masterpiece.
the sound is amazing!
Best race car noise ever (in my opinion )
On April 1969 I was there !!!! Amazing !!! Unfortunately both the 312P had to retire during the race but what a car !!!!
Makes me goosebump🤤
This video is........Awesome.
Aaah the good old days. Thank God for historic races so others can enjoy
I'm left astounded by that heavenly v12 sound. its sad but I doubt I'll ever even get to experience a race spec Ferrari v12 in my life...
something about the early 70s V-engine sounds
This is no doubt, the best engine i've ever heard. It kinda reminds me the sound of the Pagani Zonda for some reason
OMG.. those tires are insane.. !
That car is sick!
Fantastic, the most beautiful Ferrari of all time.
Gotta love that late 60's early 70s racing cars the noice but the looks were so cool back then.
A proper engine V12 and a proper sound
Is well driven... clean shifts, nice lines...
Very cool!
Well, i guess we know where car 54 is now!
How can anyone not like this?
insane, i'm thinking about the risk of driving so hard this ultra-rare and so ultra-expensive car. That driver has some balls on that racing seat.
😳 Was that 75+ year old senior citizen we saw at the beginning revving its engine that was ripping up that track driving it? 👴
Well, I'm very proud to have just scraped into that era/decade of racing. It does make me feel a bit old these days to be honest.
That said, it was that sound that captured my interest in car racing (Grand Prix, Le Mans). I very much doubt today's cars would ever do that for me if I were a three year old. They would never make the hairs on my head feel like static electricity was passing through them, nor give my cheeks goose bumps and a very strong desire to want to do it. Those cars had a lot of soul. A lot of soul.. . 😌
Yup, as far as I had read, he is former British Hillclimb Champion David Franklin, and yes, he's the one who is driving it like hell on the track. There were several videos of him hurling this car, and other similarly expensive Ferraris up tight hillclimb courses, and driving around tracks such as this footage.
Here's him thrashing that car at Goodwood hillclimb.

And here he is, same venue, but with an older 275GTB.

Ferrari 312P is one of the most beautiful sportscars ever built!
I saw Lambo Huracans, and Bentleys trounce the competition in style just a few days ago at Brands Hatch 2017 British GT Championships. ...Yet, here we have one of the legendary Ferrari Ps from c. 50 years ago, easily wiping away such exciting octane filled memories. The mind boggles how petrolheads of the era were spoilt with the sight and sounds of these awesome machines, and the Ps are still the top of Ferraris sportscar hierarchy IMO.
immagini e suoni bellissimi !!!
ferrari 250gto Grazie!
Awesome to see the wheels being driven of it........
That still kicks ass... i mean,1969 car still shouting like a beast.
la plus belle Ferrari de tous les temps
Ferrari V12 Forever!!!
That sound on down shift 🤯🤯
thanks
Makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck. Such a beautiful sound. I do notice that there are 27 thumbs down!! That's 27 people in the world that have no soul.
27 rich guys with these things in their garages, living with the regrets of never using them
Wow just wow
c'est la plus belle Ferrari de tous les temps ....
This was the Ferrari F1 engine, 1966 - 1969.
Ein Wunderschönes Auto , ich liebe Ferrari Forza für 2022.
I hate hyperbole but this actually is, pretty "EPIC". Thanks.
Tres bien!
Thanks for this. This was the pinnacle of mechanical engineering, prior to computer aided everything. The best part was at the 2:43 mark when the second most beautiful race car ever went screaming by followed a split second later by the the most beautiful of all time. The Ferrari 312. The second was, none other than the very first McLaren sportscar. The M6GT. THE 3rd most beautiful, IMHO, is a one-off and sadly never saw the track. The Jaguar XJ13.
Here’s my list of the top 10 plus 5 honorable mentions. Note that they are all the best early mid-engined designs and come from what I call the American era. Roughy 1965 though 1970. The most iconic era for pure ragged edge racing without any driver aids, traction control, launch control, power assist, computer controls, exc.

Iistening to this gives me even more plesure then Bach's cantate 147. That Ferrari V12 sound! No: SOUND!! In capital letters!
Che auto fantastica
My phone is vibrating when this is on full volume
DAMNNNNNN
I love hearing the manual shifting.. Do you?
Interested in the hardware used to capture the audio. As an audio engineer and videographer, I'm wondering how you kept the distortion down so close to the exhaust or if it was fixed in post. Thanks.
Bella Machina Ferrari!!!!!!
That engine sound is heaven, and it’s such a beautiful car. The 312P should’ve won more races between 1969-71, if the designers fully embraced the aerodynamic wing tech of the time they could’ve triumphed at Le Mans. Maybe they couldn’t bear to spoil the beautiful aesthetics with a great big rear wing 😂 preferring to use small aerodynamic appendages instead.
ITBs are bae
Heaven... I am in heaven!!!
Very Fast And Loud
This is just pure ponography
Straight up NASTY!!! Any idea how many revs it can hit? I can see that the tach is up to 13000 rpm. Can it really rev that high?
Question : at 1:10 there is more smoke from the right exhaust than from the left, why ? Thanks :)
