Heh, these are great. My dad taught me to drive but I actually learned late and was almost 19 when I finally got my license. We did a lot of parking lots first and then the roads around Conyers where I grew up in Georgia. I can't tell you how many times my dad would "phantom" hit the brakes on the passenger side as I was driving, lol. I did ok though and became a really good driver. I've had one accident my entire life and it was the other drivers fault. Your daughter did a great job. I miss the south sometimes. So much beautiful driving country down there. Hope you guys have fun on future adventures. Thank you for sharing these with us. Safe travels.

Beautiful up there in mid October. Y’all should’ve drove up to Cligmans Dome. I believe it’s the highest point in NC.
Oh yeah Cades Cove is a really cool place to. If you’re out there at the right time of day (morning/evening) you could see lots of wild animals to including bears.

Ruthie did a good job driving! The Hyundai needs a train horn though for going through the tunnels lol. I loved going through Cherokee on one trip we did to the southeast. The Smokey Mountains is one of the most beautiful places in the United States.

Ruthie, good job driving with all the distractions from dad. 😆 I would feel safe riding in the car with you driving. Mom did most of the driver ed training with our two kid's. Dad would criticize too much when he was the instructor. 😂 Use to take them to our local cemetery to practice their slow speed and turning skills before venturing out in the neighborhood around our home.
