What I love about Jokic is that he's an unselfish player. He is whatever the team needs him to be on any given night. If they need 30 points, he's got it covered. If Gordon and Murray are cooking and they need someone to facilitate, he's one of the best passing bigs of all time. If they need a rebounder, he'll put up 20+. He's basically a 6'11 Swiss Army knife and it's fun to watch. I sincerely think he could finish his career as a top 5 player if he keeps this up.
I completely agree with this. I see top 5-7 all time as an absolutely plausible outcome for him if he sustains this rate for another 6-7 years. Since his game isn't predicated on athleticism at all, I think he can do it.

I watched the 4th game and its almost a miracle how they won and swept the lakers. I might be a little bit biased but seemed like the refs were handing the win to lakers the whole game and lakers couldnt deliver. I thought for sure Denver would lost that one.

It’s crazy that a guy with only a 5 inch vertical is the best player in the NBA. It definitely disproves the notion that the super athletes of today would dominate the older eras.

I've always said the media loves marketing players that play a flashy perimeter-oriented game. The media loves highlights of crossovers, 3s, stepbacks, drives to the basket, athleticism, and dunks. Jokic's game isn't like a Luka, SGA, Curry, KD, LeBron, etc and that's why those guys get more marketing than the reigning champions.
I really wish I could see how well Jokic stacks up playing against the real elite big men in history instead of thriving in the weakest times the NBA has ever been. He's the only one I pay attention to these days.
Jokic has been playing like the second best player of all time, albeit with lesser defense but also a lesser supporting cast. Similar in the sense of smarts over athleticism, awesome rebounding, hyper-efficient shooting from all three levels, and insane playmaking as a big man. Of course, the parallels to Bird is not because of their complexion but because like Larry, Nikola should have been the first since Bird to 3-peat MVP.

I watched the 4th game and its almost a miracle how they won and swept the lakers. I might be a little bit biased but seemed like the refs were handing the win to lakers the whole game and lakers couldnt deliver. I thought for sure Denver would lost that one.

I've always said the media loves marketing players that play a flashy perimeter-oriented game. The media loves highlights of crossovers, 3s, stepbacks, drives to the basket, athleticism, and dunks. Jokic has been playing like the second best player of all time, albeit with lesser defense but also a lesser supporting cast. Similar in the sense of smarts over athleticism, awesome rebounding, hyper-efficient shooting from all three levels, and insane playmaking as a big man. Of course, the parallels to Bird is not because of their complexion but because like Larry, Nikola should have been the first since Bird to 3-peat MVP.
